I think he's going cap in hand to ask for money. I really hope he's not got the nerve to ask to come back!

I’m struggling to think what Meghan and Melanie would have in common, other than both being married to complete headcases!

Meghan: "What attracted you to your deranged multi-millionaire with a history of racism, Melania?"

Melania: "His big heart, of course!

"Meghan: "Oh...."

Melania: And you, Meghan? What attracted you to your multi-millionaire royal with deep seated mental health issues and a history of racism?"

Meghan: "He's nice! And a he's a fox!"

Melania: "Oh...."

Gold-digging?

They could discuss the depths of the emotional and physical trade-offs they each had to plummet to acquire this level of wealth with their odious and fugly husbands.

Although both M & M are super fugly on the inside.

MrsLeonFarrell · 17/09/2025 20:44

Harry and Meghan would have been entertaining the officials who came with Trump, not Trump himself. You can get an idea who they would be speaking to by seeing who Catherine and William walked in with the last time Trump was here.

I think it's very obvious what Meghan and Melania have in common.

One thing the Royals are good at is inconsequential small talk whilst making whoever they are talking to feel the focus of their attention. Most people glad-handed by them come away feeling like the Royals are nice and interested in whatever it is they do regardless of if it is making tea in the community centre or President of America. Meghan found that aspect of being a working Royal incredibly dull. Which is unfortunate as it is the main part of the role. I imagine it is dull but the Royals have to suck it up.

What?
I could not think of two more different people

I imagine H&M are very happy not to have to work play nice with that odious man.

No, he just has control over Harry's visa status and how easy it is for him to continue living in the USA. Much better position to be in 😟

Well, the most obvious thing I can see that they happened to make marriages to high profile, rich men that elevated their social profile and standing.
So perhaps they have similar taste in men? And perhaps they had to navigate their elevated social standing due to those marriages.
Maybe they're both interested in fashion and beauty treatments. Meghan certainly said people would expect her to be involved with such things.

Totally disagree

You could not find two more different husbands

Fair enough.
Imagine my chagrin at some randomer disagreeing with me

But they are both high profile and rich? That's two major characteristics they have in common.

Two women who forged their careers based on their looks. Both described themselves as super-models. Both married rich, very high profile, very well connected, damaged men - in fact, Harry wanted to interview Trump about his childhood trauma and compare it to his own, as memorably recounted by Bill Simmons of Spotify.

Both are grandiose, delusional, vexatious, brittle, arrogant, entitled, pug-ugly bullies - with a couple of quid.

Indianrollerbird · 17/09/2025 23:52

Trump was also, once upon a time, a beloved cheeky chappy type. The man who saved the Central Park ice-rink (using other people's money and resources, mind you) and appeared in a number of 90s films and TV shows as he was an NY icon. He was also quite pally with Oprah for quite a while.

Indianrollerbird · 18/09/2025 00:02

Both have had vast, inherited wealth. Both had/have more handsome, more intelligent and impressive older brothers they were firmly in the shadow of growing up. Both probably have abandonment issues relating to their mothers (Trump's mother was hospitalised and he was unable to see her during his crucial developmental years).

Indianrollerbird · 18/09/2025 00:04

Both were a bit thick and did badly at school. Trump was sent to military school. Both had reputations as bullies.

Hospitalcorners52 · 18/09/2025 05:56

Why is everyone comparing Trump to Harry?

Surely it’s Trump and Prince Andrew who share similar tastes?

Cos they both share the same colour. Harry has ginger hair and Trump has a ginger face.

Because the thread is about Harry. Feel free to contribute to the other threads about Andrew.

Crucible · 18/09/2025 07:15

Well some folks understood my post. It was meant kindly. I think if the sliding doors moment had been different and theyd stayed here and worked as Royals, today would have been cool.

I have never seen Meghan describe herself as a supermodel ? Lots of other things but not that .

I would say meghan was forging a career as an actress and she never described herself as a supermodel either

Neither of them were Supermodels! I can’t imagine Melania thinks she was ever up there with Christy, Naomi, Linda, Cindy or Claudia. And Meghan was an actress - it would be absolutely ludicrous for her to claim to be a Super.
