I think he's going cap in hand to ask for money. I really hope he's not got the nerve to ask to come back!

Oh I agree it seems now it was all a facade.

Such is working like for a lot of people I should think.

But the Oprah interview & Spare book have shown him to be bitter & petty.

This is why I came here today!

I'm sure most people would be happy for them to "make up" - just not on our (british taxpayers) dime.

Yes it would be lovely if there was a genuine reconciliation. I would hate to think that W would be forced to put up with him without receiving a proper apology. I admit I am
biased. I had a terrible falling out with my brother over ten years ago. He said horrible things about me. I got a lot of pressure from my parents to let it go and it was a tough time. We made up when I felt ready but I will never fully trust him. Therefore I have a lot of sympathy with W.
I read the Charlotte Griffiths article in the MoS. The amount of information she has suggests she has spoken to people close to both brothers. It’s also obvious H is missing his old life or rather he misses being an important person.

I think Harry always seemed more fun & charismatic when on engagements than W&C.

That's nothing new is it?

Whether or not KC3 is fed up with it is another matter.

Harry got to play the fool. He didn't carry a great deal of responsibility because he was the " spare". He tries to carry that on which looks foolish in a man of his age. Eg the crotch pointing in the dancing video. Being "fun" is not a primary requirement for a monarch.

diddl · 14/09/2025 15:55

I don't think I said it was.

Sporadica · 14/09/2025 16:03

YABU. I suspect a big part of the reason the "Royals" all act like such weirdos is because there's so much insane scrutiny over basic things like meeting yer dad/kid for tea.

If there had not been a public rift caused by H on his freedom flight then no one would be interested. No one cares whether Beatrice or Eugenie have had tea with their parents recently.

Oh my days!!!!

He is absolutely beyond any help.

He just can't keep his trap shut ! Someone has said he's spoken out (again!) because the meeting with Charles didn't go his way.

Justanotherdramalama · 15/09/2025 11:54

Once again he is taking us all for fools, everything will be our fault and he's flawless. He's a prize twit!

And what's with his comment re the Kings health? Why do we need to know that information. 😕

I could quite believe the meeting didn't go his way. I think he's asked to come back and been told he can because he's blood but M can't because she's trouble and a outsider. Conditions will have been given and this is Harry putting them in motion...

Realistically, I wonder how he did expect it to go?

prelovedusername · 15/09/2025 19:31

I don’t know, I think the stories that are being leaked which are so sympathetic to Harry show that Charles is on a mission to get Harry back in the fold and with the public on side. I think the meeting may well have been an emotional one, especially if Harry has decided to stop shouting at Charles and instead shower him with metaphorical flower sprinkles.

Charles wants Harry back, of course he does. But the polls are clear, the people don’t. And trying to win favour for Harry by taking pot shots at William is a nasty and underhand trick.

It doesn't matter what the 'polls' say. Seriously. This is absolutely their issue to resolve in whatever way they see fit.

The public behaved disgracefully towards Harry and Charles should have stepped in when it was happening and shot it down. The PR was far too intent on making sure that William was the golden boy (and I understand why obviously) but it went too far.

When and how did the public behave disgracefully to Harry?

How they resolve things personally is one thing, but expecting that the people will just fall in with whatever agreement they come to is another, especially when public funds are concerned.

I can’t even be bothered with the second part of your post, it’s too ridiculous to waste time answering.

If Meghan sets foot in the UK again in any kind of official capacity I’ll chew on my rain hat!

Put your rain hat away! if I were her I wouldn't dream of coming back here

But she has done - she rocked up to the Jubilee, hosted a party in grounds of Windsor Castle with accompanying photo shoot of Lilys face issues to the global media.

She was then back in the UK weeks later to deliver a speech at One Young World conf - and then stayed on when HMTLQ died where she tried to insert herself on a front row seat at the death bed and then ran a running commentary thru her mouthpiece Omid Scooby of the funeral arrangements and subsequently did a royal walkabout in Windsor.

Doesnt sound like someone who doesn’t want to come to the UK or be associated with the toxic RF.

W's public image has lacked lustre for years.

Who’s behind this puff piece? Very intimate details can only have come from PH mouth to a publication very friendly to H&M

There are too many to mention threads on the RF board about how they bring money to the country rather than the public funding them.

I've no idea as I'm not a royalist and have never delved into their profit and loss accounts. I don't see the point of any of them and don't believe any family are 'royal'. Kings and queens are completely outdated nonsense.

I read about them when they appear in the active chat part of MN.

People will fall in because that is what people have always done. People in the UK believe the royal family is part of the 'great' in Great Britain and they add huge value to the country. Look at the people waving their little flags in the sodding rain just to gawk at them. They will always have their supporters even if a number of them see them as akin to watching soap characters on Eastenders.

Realistically people know what the family want them to know. I expect the public don't know a far greater amount than they think about any of them.

I further suspect that William would throw in the towel if he could. Instead he holidays monthly to get away from it all and doesn't do much when he is around. But the steadfast supporters will maintain that walking around a garden or having a cup of tea with the women's society is indeed hard work and he has been chosen by God to do such important work.
