Continuing the on from the As ever thread

  • Funny article from Jan Moir

https://archive.ph/UfTPx

  • Turns out Chrissy wasn’t the only known bully that Meg invited onto the show. David Chang has serious anger issues and has bullied staff

https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/tvfilm/meghan-markle-s-shameless-pr-stunt-with-david-chang-is-disgusting-b1244549.html

  • Megs new show hasn’t appeared in the Top ten on NF in the UK or US, which she had done for the first series. NF aren’t promoting it other that in the ‘new this week’ section. You also have to scroll along to find it.
  • No stock sold out yet

Meghan Markle’s shameless PR stunt with David Chang is disgusting

The first episode of With Love, Meghan season two has a nasty jumpscare

i wonder if this is another one of her clapbacks as an ‘explanation’ for how obviously uncomfortable she was on that walkabout with William and Catherine. Now its become a period when she was ‘unwell’ due to ‘missing her children’.

She was already away from her kids on a planned trip, it was extended by a week or so due to staying for the queens funeral, she could easily have gone back to the US and flown back for the funeral, FOMO on her part kept her in the UK, I suspect.

Good point on it being clapback.

Weepixie · 29/08/2025 01:02

Those posts from @Mylovelygreendress and @Serenster are shocking.

From today's Popbitch:

As anyone who has endured a single second of her lifestyle and er... cookery show knows, Meghan Markle has some very specific ideas about the world, and more importantly about her own kitchen.

Staff let slip that her larder is organised according to strict rules, set by the Duchess herself. All jars, bottles etc. need to be perfectly arranged and displayed two centimetres apart.

That’s not a figure of speech. Staff have to measure the 2cm in question, or else endure a Meghan Montecito Meltdown.

What does a Meghan Montecito Meltdown entail? Well, one recent trip to Whole Foods ended in disaster when Meghan discovered a member of the Sussex’s staff had bought own brand baking soda, rather than the Arm & Hammer one she had specifically requested.

Despite being told the store was all sold out of Arm & Hammer, Meghan went nuts, complaining it was “triggering” for her because when she was young and poor, her family could only afford own brand products.

For the love of God, please tell me this was a joke.

For the love of God, please tell me this was a joke.

I have come to the conclusion that both H and M are mentally unwell . I think this is what drew them together in the first place. The isolated bubble
that they live in with few people around them (if any) to bring them back to reality is exacerbating that. I think Meghans way to cope with any feeling of unease or stress is to become more and more controlling. I suspect that she doesn’t trust anyone other than Harry and possibly her mother , and think both she and Harry are increasingly paranoid. Who do they have around them who they can call real friends or close family? Very very few I suspect. I don’t think they’ll spilt because I think they turn to each other when stressed and shut out the world. They can’t see each others faults and no one calls them out on poor behaviour. I think they are very very over sensitive to any sort of criticism and feed each others narcissistic personalities. It’s an incredibly toxic situation that can only get worse, and must be a very unhealthy environment for their children.

Weepixie · 29/08/2025 06:30

@Makehaysunshine do you do that ^ for a living?

I only ask because I have a couple of extended family members I’d like you to give your opinion on.

Im in awe of what you wrote.

"The former Suits actress relied on star power - not her own -" double ouch

MonteShitshow · 29/08/2025 06:42

Should have decanted the own brand baking soda into an Arm & Hammer container. Even the most Princess and the Pea palates wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

Bloodymigraines · 29/08/2025 07:02

I agree with @Makehaysunshine , imo the underlying reason for a person to be so controlling is fear and lack of self worth . I lived with a horribly controlling person, they appeared confident but in reality, they were full of self doubt, the more they felt out of control of a situation, the more controlling they became. Even a compliment could be taken the wrong way (you look nice today would be taken as they didn't look nice yesterday) it is a type of mental illness.
I think Meghan just cannot 'read' people or situations, she is so wrapped up in her self doubt that her desire to control a situation overrides any ability to behave normally, which is why she is always grabbing at Harry, pulling him away when he's speaking to someone or barging ahead putting herself first.
Her not feeling 'authentic' when asked to wear tights is, again imo, her feeling out of control because one just doesn't tell a controlling person what to do because it makes them feel out of control.

ThePoshUns · 29/08/2025 07:18

This is quite a good watch, an analysis of her body language during the interview she just did, the on wearing that awful yellow outfit.

I think @Makehaysunshine and @Bloodymigraines you both make excellent points. I think the tights business is also about Meghan trying to continually justify why she left the RF, the big accusations didn't really land well, so we're down to slights and petty niggles.
She needs to perpetually remind herself and Harry that they were right to leave. Otherwise, it's just a horrible mistake and they haven't become the next Obamas or Clooneys. They could have stayed and been heads of the Commonwealth Trust, a top table at events, standing in for KC during his illness etc. that's got to bite.
I kind of feel sorry for the way it's turned out, but I hope they can move forward now.

Thedom · 29/08/2025 07:51

Meghan seems to have pissed off a lot of her fans with her comment about choosing not to speak out about what’s happening in the US, ‘because she chooses not and has nothing to say’ basically she doesn’t care.

Some of the ex fans are now agreeing with what has been said about her for years, that she is not genuine or authentic, the activism and anti racism was a PR strategy at the time to get people to support her. Her fans criticising her having accepted an anti racism award and now failing to acknowledge the ice raids in her own home town. About her showing up at Uvalde and yet not saying a word now about school shootings. The list goes on……

Her fan base was built on her being an activist and an underdog, now she has firmly aligned herself with those who have the complete opposite views of her supporters.

Yes I wonder if 'back in the day' her adoring fans realised that 5 years on the conversation would not be about all the controversial issues Meghan was championing now that she was free of the shackles of royalty, but rather about whether the latest 'drop' was apricot or raspberry faux jam.

Meghan is clearly not interested in politics or social justice, despite all the 'whip smart feminist activist' talk. Then again, she's also not really interested in food or home making either. She's promoting a book shop while saying she doesn't like reading, and doing a lifestyle show while admitting that she doesn't like baking. Who is she really? She comes across as a rather strange, hollow person. There's no there there.

FleurDeFleur · 29/08/2025 08:31

She wants to be a celebrity.

Thedom · 29/08/2025 08:36

The highest her show reached was 75 on the day it was released, ,it is not even in the top 200 yesterday, 3 days later.

FleurDeFleur · 29/08/2025 08:31

I think if it was that simple she'd have gone about her post royal life in a more logical way, taking the advice of the experts she hired.

I think it's more that she wants to be envied. To be looked up to and considered superior to the masses. Which ironically is exactly what she threw away when 'finding freedom'.

Yes, it's a strange one, I can't quite work it out. Other than they had incredible status at the height of their fame, and she thought it could continue post royal?.

BigAnne · 29/08/2025 08:51

She's a bit of a Walter Mitty character. What I don't get is how she seems to be able to shrug off all the universal negative reviews and at the same time boasts about how successful she is. A psychiatrist would have a field day with her.

Quite agree. There is a terrifying void inside her. She’s acting all the time.

I doubt she ever uses it herself anyway!

MissDorothyParker · 29/08/2025 09:15

I wonder if she has sensory issues, that might make the tights really distressing?
Possibly causing her to need to leave the garden party?

No, because she has worn tights since leaving the RF, no one made her wear tights to the Katy Perry concert.

As ever/WLM2- puts the boasting into hosting
FleurDeFleur · 29/08/2025 09:32

Mmm. Interesting.....

They left the garden party because M was overheard by an aide telling H she was bored .

JSMill · 29/08/2025 09:41

@MakehaysunshineI totally agree with you. I have actually wondered if M did not have the mental resilience to cope with being in such a high pressure role in the RF. The press weren’t that mean to her but she couldn’t cope with it. Plus there’s the high expectations of how to act in public, to always show up top of your game. She got thrust into it too quickly. I believe she couldn’t cope and her mental health suffered. I think H has his own issues, particularly paranoia, and I wonder how much that’s fuelled by his admitted drug use. Weed can really ruin your mental health.
