Continuing the on from the As ever thread

  • Funny article from Jan Moir

https://archive.ph/UfTPx

  • Turns out Chrissy wasn’t the only known bully that Meg invited onto the show. David Chang has serious anger issues and has bullied staff

https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/tvfilm/meghan-markle-s-shameless-pr-stunt-with-david-chang-is-disgusting-b1244549.html

  • Megs new show hasn’t appeared in the Top ten on NF in the UK or US, which she had done for the first series. NF aren’t promoting it other that in the ‘new this week’ section. You also have to scroll along to find it.
  • No stock sold out yet

Meghan Markle’s shameless PR stunt with David Chang is disgusting

The first episode of With Love, Meghan season two has a nasty jumpscare

I think the Bloomberg interview has asked more probing questions than I’ve seen before. It’s interesting to see her being questioned about more of the realities of the business, Netflix’s involvement and celebrity lines etc. And to see where she attempts a coherent answer versus going off into word salad.

Extolling the virtues of bookstores whilst not reading yourself is peak Meghan Markle. Also the yellow dress is a big departure from her usual style. Another rebrand?

@Mylovelygreendress I think you are right about Air Force 1. here is one account I've googled ( below. )

I'm sure they would have loved the photos of that - but apart from any diplomatic problems I don't think Air Force 1 is just the President's private jet. There are strict protocols ( given a large part of it is funded by the US taxpayer ). But the likes of @BemusedAmerican or @My2cents1975 will know better than me. Personally I think it was rather cheeky and not a little hubristic. Maybe they thought the Archewell donation to the Biden's daughter's charity might give them a shout ( BUT I don't know the timeline of those things so take that as speculation)

nypost.com/2023/07/19/harry-and-meghan-denied-ride-home-from-queens-funeral-on-air-force-one/

Presumably Air Force One was taking Biden etc to The White House which is not exactly near California!

BemusedAmerican · 28/08/2025 13:15

H & M would have had to pay for their ride. It was probably faster and cheaper for them to fly coach to California.

JSMill · 28/08/2025 13:53

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/08/2025 10:26

I don’t think she wanted to leave H alone in the UK in case he ended up having conversations with his family which she wouldn’t be involved in

I've always thought the same, @JSMill - especially remembering she was kept away from the "Sandringham summit" and maybe felt they'd have got a better deal if she'd been there to drive it instead of her hapless husband.
Vanishingly unlikely of course, but a very possible scenario with someone who so obviously seeks to control everything

Mainly, though, I'm concerned that their relative silence might suggest that "bring them back" negotiations are going on behind the scenes

Gosh I remember the sheer arrogance of her expectation that she should be involved when she had been a member of the family for five minutes. It’s a 1000 year old dynasty.
I think the fact she keeps making these little digs suggests she’s actually bitter that she couldn’t hack it and that her attempt to be a global star on her own terms has failed.

Bloodymigraines · 28/08/2025 14:02

@JSMill my brother in law has been a part of our family for 40 years and he didn't expect to be there when my dad was passing despite being close to him. The sheer nerve of MM is breathtaking . I'm almost embarrassed for her at her complete lack of respect and decency.

To be eligible to fly as a guest on Air Force One, H&M would have needed Secret Service clearance...a pretty intensive background check. Then, as Air Force One is government property and is regulated, H&M would need to reimburse the government for basically a first-class flight.

I think H&M failed to understand that while a sitting President is more powerful than a reigning Monarch, a reigning Monarch has far more political heft than a former President. Both Democratic and Republican politicians would see the RF, and in particular W, as much more valuable long-term connection than H. (KC3 was widely perceived to be a placeholder monarch before W's reign).

The Bidens were never going to give H&M a ride!

Exactly. Your job is to support your spouse in times of bereavement, not make it about you. I would also add that my dh owns part of his family’s business after inheriting a share from his dgps. I would never dream of voicing an opinion when there are heated discussions now and again! It’s been in his family for generations. The only thing I say is please sort it all out so our dcs don’t have to deal with a mess. (My SIL sticks her beak in though.)

Mylovelygreendress · 28/08/2025 15:52

I remember the photo taken when QE’s coffin arrived back at Buckingham Palace . H and M had positioned themselves right behind KC so right at the centre of things .
I also remember Sussex supporters insisting it was just a coincidence that Omid Scobie issued the photo first .

It’s worse than that, Mylovelygreendress.

Omid didn’t issue the photo first, he tweeted out a photo that had been taken in breach of a press agreement to take no photos of the grieving family or events once QEII’s hearse passed through the front gates of Buckingham Palace.

Despite this agreement there just happened to be a photographer positioned to take a photos looking through the arch into the internal courtyard of Buckingham Palace directly opposite where the family stood to receive the hearse. And Meghan and Harry just happened to be standing directly behind Charles at this moment. And the photographer just happened to send his photo to Omid Scobie, rather than sell it via a picture agency to other publications.

Omid deleted his tweet when other journalists protested that this was a clear breach of the agreement.

ThePoshUns · 28/08/2025 16:04

OMG have not seen or heard this before, they really are lower than a snakes belly. They clearly had a photographer set up to take that photo. Scumbags.

Mylovelygreendress · 28/08/2025 16:04

Wow @Serenster , that’s even more shocking than I thought!

JSMill · 28/08/2025 17:00

That’s disgusting and it’s H I judge more harshly for it.

MaturingCheeseball · 28/08/2025 17:06

There’s often - quite coincidentally, of course - a handy photographer about, eg for the Meredith Maines summit. Extraordinary what luck it is to be hiding in a bush at exactly the right moment.

Goodness - Omid (MM) made a right mess of everything he said and posted around the death.

Also said MM was on her way to Balmoral, also said coffin was going down by train (wonder if RF planted that info with H&M to see if it would leak)

And then the above.

This was someone’s mother, grandmother, great grandmother dying - a personal family grief that they spun out for clicks.

She is just so inappropriate in so many situations. From fires and deaths to schools - inappropriate!

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 28/08/2025 18:34

Check out Meghan staring straight into the camera lens in that Buckingham Palace photo too. She just happened to know where the camera was

My2cents1975 · 28/08/2025 20:20

IMHO, H bears far greater responsibility for the Sussexes' reprehensible behavior at the late Queen's funeral. As H is always so keen to remind us, he lost his mother. H's lack of empathy for his father who not only lost his mother but was simultaneously catapulted into the role of Head of State did shock me. The word sociopath did cross my mind.

M has historically displayed complete disregard for her own familial ties, so her usage and discarding of her in-laws is par for the course. Her callous behavior has, at least, been consistent.

I'm calling bullshit on the bread episode.

You cannot, I repeat CAN NOT create a functioning sourdough starter - FROM SCRATCH - and have it ready to bake with in 7 days.

At minimum you're talking 14 days, at minimum. But generally we are talking weeks (if not months) for it to become strong enough to get decent bread from it.

I know this from bitter experience. (Side eyeing my 2nd sourdough starter which I have been fucking nurturing for well over a year now) and still sometimes the bastarding thing won't fucking do it's job.

ThePoshUns · 28/08/2025 21:56

Maybe it's climate related? I could create a starter and get a decent loaf of bread within 7 days easily when living in a very hot country (with indoors temperatures that would have most on MN expecting to die in the night). It takes a lot longer in my kitchen back in Blighty!

PullTheBricksDown · 28/08/2025 22:47

From today's Popbitch:

As anyone who has endured a single second of her lifestyle and er... cookery show knows, Meghan Markle has some very specific ideas about the world, and more importantly about her own kitchen.

Staff let slip that her larder is organised according to strict rules, set by the Duchess herself. All jars, bottles etc. need to be perfectly arranged and displayed two centimetres apart.

That’s not a figure of speech. Staff have to measure the 2cm in question, or else endure a Meghan Montecito Meltdown.

What does a Meghan Montecito Meltdown entail? Well, one recent trip to Whole Foods ended in disaster when Meghan discovered a member of the Sussex’s staff had bought own brand baking soda, rather than the Arm & Hammer one she had specifically requested.

Despite being told the store was all sold out of Arm & Hammer, Meghan went nuts, complaining it was “triggering” for her because when she was young and poor, her family could only afford own brand products.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 28/08/2025 23:10

With bridges burned on every shore, she’s now stranded on an island of her own making.

ouch indeed.
