apparently the author will be serialising his new book in the dm weekly!
thought we might like to follow the snippets 😁

Good points, @CoffeeCantata . When Kate got married, one of her friends said "she's not a show off" and that's very clear. She was badly bullied at school for being shy and I think she's had to overcome a lot for her role. I think she's authentic.

FenellaFeldman · 03/08/2025 14:25

I see what you mean.
My point is, that for 5 years H&M peddled stories which were hurtful, and many have been proven to be inaccurate and untrue. I'm just thinking - now they're on the receiving end!
Anyway. We shall see.

I know what you mean but it’s simply bizarre!
he’s kept silent about so many worse and more damaging things and this is what was over the line!

this is going to look like he is publicly supporting his uncle!
his own reputation is not impeccable, questions will be asked about his own morals.
fans that support him and claimed they left to distance themselves from Andrew are going to be let down!
it like the twerking video is a complete own goal !

Yes! What a stupid situation. It's like when Harry supported that woman at the Palace accused of racism! The Palace took action, but Harry took her side! Bizarre, as you say, Jeff.

Yes - quite bizarre to pick this, of all, battles.
When you consider what he has said and written and what’s been said and written about him (Tom Bower, for example).

FenellaFeldman · 03/08/2025 14:37

Why not sue Tom Bower?

Yes that was particularly ridiculous after the comments made on Oprah! 🤷‍♀️

I think that is unwise on Harry's part. Why call the lawyers over this story and not the bullying one? It also reminds people that he had never criticised Andrew in public but was happy to moan about lip gloss sharing. It's hard to avoid the impression that it's individuals he targets rather than behaviour.

I never believed they left because of outage over Andrew. It has always been clear that they don't think about anyone but themselves when making decisions.

bindin · 03/08/2025 14:45

if anything with andrews reputation as it is , Harry poping him one would only elevate many peoples opinion of him!

I would applaud Harry for this!

Of course they never left because of outrage over Andrew! Andrew's behaviour has clearly never bothered them, otherwise it would have been used as part of their monetising of the family.

JSMill · 03/08/2025 14:46

Well I have just finished reading the article in the MoS. It’s pretty shocking. PA is such a horrible disgusting man.

MavisandHetty · 03/08/2025 14:48

Two thoughts:

  1. Harry’s lightning quick intervention in this (rebuttal in Hello! mag and retention of lawyers, if true) can mean only one thing: he’s terrified of something. Following the dots, it can only mean something that he benefits from is on the line if he doesn’t vociferously refute the story about punching Andrew and/or Andrew having said whatever about Meghan being an opportunist. I can’t see what it is, but there’s something.
  2. Far mor importantly - and I’ll say it only briefly because this is the RF board where a lot of us come to escape the real world - if the Epstein files have just this on Andrew, imagine what they have on Trump. Imagine what Epstein fed back to Mossad on trump. The US position on Israel, Netanyahu pitching up at the White House x3 in 6 months, Trump U-turning about releasing the files despite his maga base hollering for them…I think Andrew could bring down trump in a roundabout way. I think we’re going to see some inexplicable events on both sides of the pond in short order as a consequence of this book.

Finally, Andrew’s got away with it and will continue to get away with it because the British people love their royal family. The scenes around the death of TLQ were proof that the RF isn’t going anywhere. People will turn a blind eye, scapegoat Andrew and it’ll all be forgotten. All this is making William and Catherine look really, really good. The only real lesson to be learned is that harry needs to be cut off asap before he becomes Andrew 2.0.

bindin · 03/08/2025 14:50

I don't think anyone in the RF is outraged by Andrew's behaviour unfortunately.

The difference being that they've not slated everyone else but Andrew.

Excellent post Mavis!
yes for me the casual mentions of trump and Clinton and selling information to putin was far more worrisome!
andrew has no information that can affect our country but both trump and Clinton will probably be in a position where their information could do actual harm!

Excellent points, @MavisandHetty .

Thedom · 03/08/2025 15:00

I think it is probably a bit of grandstanding on the part of the Sussexs', doubt it will come to anything beyond a letter written by a lawyer. Why announce to People that you have sent a 'letter from a lawyer' 😀, if it was truly a serious legal matter, they would be announcing a lawsuit not a 'letter from a lawyer'.

I doubt he will take it anywhere near a judge, a bit like his legal threat to the BBC when they reported he didn't ask the queen to use her nickname for their daughter. Lots of bluster for show.

Hopefully the mail will publish the 'letter from the lawyer' 😁

I follow Andrew Lownie on X, after having listened to him being interviewed on the radio and finding very interesting. Anyway he says ‘he looks forward to doing battle and the disclosures which will emerge’. There’s no way the publisher or the MoS would have gone to print without rock solid evidence.

Great points!

And I’ve always thought that history turns on seemingly trivial or personal events/actions. Some people dismiss this stuff as mere celeb gossip but it will have repercussions, certainly for some members of the RF, but maybe internationally and in ways we can’t yet predict.

But yes, it does make W and C look wholesome and good, and it’s another warning to KC to bin Andrew and Fergie!

According to Newsweek, it's the Daily Mail they have sent legal letter to, no mention of Andrew Lownie having the honour of getting one (yet!!! ).

Absolutely bizarre.

As I have said before, I am pretty sure that Andrew and Meghan have some sort of history and that A knows stuff which H and M would prefer to be kept quiet.
Just my opinion .

Have just plowed through the archive mail article 😮 bloody hell. Is it going to be daily or weekly installments? Sorry not in UK so I rely on Mumsnet for info.

It was always a puzzle as to why she made a point of asking Harry (was it him?) who that man was standing next to the Queen on one occasion. Was she trying to emphasise that she had never seen Andrew before?
