Netflix deal is over

  • Both decided a statement won’t be released “Publicly, there will not be a statement and of course, if things change dramatically, they’d be open to a one-off project down the line.”
  • Talk about Paramount plus

It’s been pretty obvious for a while. No talk about the Archewell productions arm, the film they were making etc.

How long can As ever last when they won’t have NF to back it up with WLM infomercials.

It'll be in the next book - Charles cut them off financially so they had to use the previous owners' parasols.. 😭

mikado1 · 23/07/2025 15:07

Looking at pic.. I'm surprised at wooden island top and grey worktops.

BemusedAmerican · 23/07/2025 15:08

I live in a building with many recent sales. I also have several relatives who have sold and bought homes in past few years. Sometimes furniture is rented for staging purposes. One of my sisters hired some when she was trying to sell her house. Otherwise, the contracts generally require the place to be vacant and broom clean.

A few weeks, a property was for sale in Brooklyn. It was an old house in a nice neighborhood that was filled with possessions. The photos clearly showed them and the listing stated that the house would be sold as is, with the price dropped in recognition that a junk removal company would have to come in prior to any renovations.

It is possible to switch the garden over gradually to more eco-friendly plants. Paint, inexpensive art, etc. are all ways to personalize and brighten up a space without spending lots of money.

People are still interested in her .. she creates column inches .. him not so much anymore. He’s really become the spare now poor chap. I can’t see her staying beyond another five years .. she will move onto a tech bro or movie mogul as he won’t be able to provide the lifestyle she wants. They simply have no more secrets to sell and really the brand is last chance saloon but that’s all her.. she’s the one earning now and the only one with potential to earn

Not sure a tech bro or movie mogul would want her though! They go for intelligent women who haven't publicly humiliated themselves repeatedly, trashed their own families on a global stage and, the clincher, had children with unstable, IQ-challenged men.

AtIusvue · 23/07/2025 15:12

Pic of Meg in her kitchen and pic of the kitchen from the estate agents when it was on sale years ago.

You can see the battered worktop, hanging pots and the fact she’s done nothing to that old kitchen.

Do they actually own the house?

MrsLeonFarrell · 23/07/2025 15:14

I like her kitchen. Maybe she hasn't changed it because she does too?

No indeed! Plus, a driven, successful man is going to want a successful, socially confident and reliable spouse.

Netflix has cut a lot lately, was reading a thread on Fb of people complaining about shows that have been axed. It seems to be a horrifically cutthroat industry

Yes, maybe they rent it, plus furniture and fixtures?

You can like a style but living with an oligarchs 2003 decor and the NYT commenting how battered your kitchen is, means you should at least stump up to get the worktops re sanded or replaced and put in some new fixtures and fittings.

I live in a Victorian property and love all the period features but it requires major upkeep.

They aren’t even maintaining what they have.

They do! I was sad to see The Residence, a murder mystery set in the White House that I had really enjoyed, was unceremoniously axed despite getting 33m views.

Hoolahoophop · 23/07/2025 15:20

The pots and pans are odd if she is a cook. Keen cooks tend to love their pots and pans, pay ridiculous amounts for the ones they like best and treat them like extra members of the family. I'm a keen cook. My favorite unpacking job when we moved was finding nice new homes for all my cookware.

PrincessofWells · 23/07/2025 15:21

AtIusvue · 23/07/2025 14:37

I also know nobody that would use the old pots and pans of the previous owner. That’s beyond weird.

I did, because once they're washed why wouldn't you? Because otherwise its just waste . . . the everything new culture is an environmental disaster.

The thread started out about The Residence! Going to start watching this weekend!

She might, but there’s no denying that it’s completely different in style from her Toronto kitchen, her Frogmore kitchen, and the kitchen she rented for With Love, Meghan.

chunkybear · 23/07/2025 15:24

God it was the worst ever of whatever the fuck it was meant to be! Absolute dross, self hyping, garbage. Thank god NF have binned them at last, it pained me that any of my hard earned money went to those two clowns of MonteShitShow - good riddance!

That's a butcher block counter. They don't handle moisture well, and you have to periodically treat them. Painting some of the cabinets, some art, would cheer it up. It is a weird mixture of institutional with non- institutional, like the tan mixed with the blue tile picture over the stove. I would have added a rail over the stove for cooking utensils. Some colorful items to personalize the space.

DelectableMe · 23/07/2025 15:16

Just had a google (which I should have done before asking) and they do own it . Just as an aside, looking at the pictures, they do have their own lake so they could have taken the ducks there rather than to Oprah's.

chunkybear · 23/07/2025 15:28

They’ve known for a while …. Hence the begging bowl to daddy dearest now he’s their potential cash cow …. Or should that be the public purse they’ll dip their grubby, money hungry hands and faces in to trough on 🤬🤮💩🤡💩🤡

They can’t afford to redecorate their home- they aren’t on some mission to save the planet from overconsumption when she’s hawking dried bits of flowers wrapped in a ridiculous amount of packaging.

How do you know they cant afford to? Have you seen their financial statements? You dont know

Do you remember the fuss made about the bath she had installed at Frogmore Cottage? Go and have a look. Eco and second hand did not come into it.

SoNotaRealHousewife · 23/07/2025 15:35

@Spectre8 I wouldn’t live with someone else’s bathroom for 12 years
