Netflix deal is over

  • Both decided a statement won’t be released “Publicly, there will not be a statement and of course, if things change dramatically, they’d be open to a one-off project down the line.”
  • Talk about Paramount plus

It’s been pretty obvious for a while. No talk about the Archewell productions arm, the film they were making etc.

How long can As ever last when they won’t have NF to back it up with WLM infomercials.

" Is she just basically lazy or completely delusional about her abilities?"

I'm not sure she is lazy but perhaps not focussed properly. So busy-work rather than proper hardworking busyness. I think she's out of her depth. I also think the utterly global fame she got from marrying Harry went to her head and she assumed she was made for the rest of time. After the initial interest / cashng in / it seems that outside H being KC's son they really don't have the talent or sense to be where they want to be. & I suspect they've had 5 years of people either pussyfooting around them and not telling them this (or they haven't listened.)

I wonder how much longer Meredith will last.

I wonder too. Perhaps there is a grand plan being hatched behind the scenes. Or perhaps she is developing responses for the long list of problematic issues bubbling beneath the surface - USAID funding misuse, Charity Commission Sentable inquiry, H's Daily Mail case, Invictus 2027 and the role of Meghan, misuse of Halo funds to support H's trip to Angola, how they are managing to maintain their lifestyle, As ever strategy and business plan, H's reconciliation with his father, H's relationship with future King William, why H is nolonger playing polo in the US. There's just so much!

Profhilodisaster · 23/07/2025 14:13

She has been totally out of her depth, new businesses can take a good few years to really get off the ground , they take hard work and consistent effort.
Its been a disaster right from the get go with the name change, controversial choice of logo, limited stock, refunds etc.

She has massively over estimated her ability, business acumen and talent .

Blimey, it all looks even worse when you see it all written down!

It does, especially when these issues are not running alongside a positive profile and stories of success. The real difficulty is that they have both revealed themselves to be unlikeable people. Added to that, I have a sense that even people who are interested, like us, are weary now of the constant drama and switchbacks.

Who knows what she will end up doing. Their lifestyle easily costs 4 million a year. Between the house, running costs, staff, security etc.

Thats completely unsustainable for them.

I seen on another forum, someone commenting that who on earth buys a home and keeps all the previous owner furniture- down to the kitchen table and all the pots and pans, light fittings, all the potted plants. It’s one thing, if it was newly built and with new interiors- but they are living with the 2003 decor choices of a Russian oligarch. They have been there five years. They clearly don’t have the funds needed to do a refit. Would cost millions to get the house redone. Plus the gardens too are very dated. You see many of the mansions in Cali have an up to date, drought tolerant, native planting scheme.

I don’t think long term they can’t afford to keep that home.

In a world of throw away everything isn't it good thing that peope aren't just let's chuck it out and buy new.

I've been in my house for 12yrs I havent changed the wooden flooring upstairs or the kitchen or bathroom yet. Its not my personal taste but its also not ugly enough for me to throw money at it. I can afford to do it, i have the money but its in good condition so I might as well make the most of it and when its getting old and looking worse for wear, l'll replace it.

You want them to rip out plants and trees for what? Aesthetic reasons? Because they aren't native? Because its not on trend and outdated. Thats bloody ridiculous.

If they did that you would be here complaining about how they should be spending their ones on better things or giving it away to help people not buying stuff.

And to add after watching American property programs its quite common for buyers to buy houses with all the furnishings in it. So if you have paid for it why would you chuck it out.

They threw away their family pretty quickly.

The issue for them is how expensive their lifestyle is .. like 3 million a year on security is probably what the likes of Orprah and Beyoncé pay but don’t don’t earn anywhere near that type of money. He’s obsessed with it although I’m not sure , in America at least , people care or know enough about them to warrant that round the clock security that comes with that price tag. Once the money runs out she’s definitely gone .. she believed she could outshine Kate and the Queen .. I suspect she will soon view him as dead weight who has served his purpose

AtIusvue · 23/07/2025 14:37

I also know nobody that would use the old pots and pans of the previous owner. That’s beyond weird.

It’s no surprise.
Netflix have a difficult time competing against all the other streaming services (I wish some of them would merge for the consumer’s sake!) and should focus on what they do best - documentaries that lead to short term buzz and investing in people with a track record like Shonda Rhimes who has been paid mega bucks and created massive franchises like Bridgerton.

It’s difficult being successful on podcasts and tv so my judgement is mainly for the NF and Spotify execs who paid them silly money rather than the couple. I would have loved to have been a fly in the wall and know what they promised in their pitch.

AtIusvue · 23/07/2025 14:41

They can’t afford to redecorate their home- they aren’t on some mission to save the planet from overconsumption when she’s hawking dried bits of flowers wrapped in a ridiculous amount of packaging.

I read some speculation on X this week. It suggested he is not rich enough to keep his own ponies.

Must have been hard to see William playing the other day in that case.

Lets not forget the bullying allegations - Reitmans, BP, The Times, Coutiers, The Hollywood Reporter, Access Hollywood, Vanity Fair - these are just the ones that have gone to print. I wouldnt be surprised if there was some US lawyer pulling together a 'class action' of all victims and witnesses - bit like 'Me Too' or PH's cases against the Newspapers.....none of that is going away.

Also where's Doria - she seems to have scarpered?

So you dont ever buy anything second hand?

You never go on a self catering holiday using utensils or pans used by lots of other people?

But somehow using pots and pans that came with the house and owned by someone else is weird.

workshy46 · 23/07/2025 14:53

Yes, it’s beyond weird.

Self catering is a situation where there really isn’t an alternative.

Megs doesn’t have to live with a Russian oligarchs pots n pans from 2003. She chooses to live in a time warp. Even the NYT commented on how ‘weathered’ the counter tops were and how the stove was ‘well used’ .

The place is in need of refurbishment but they clearly dont have the funds, especially now that NF production deal is over.

More to the point, when has Meghan ever been seen to shop, wear or promote vintage, or use it in the decor of her Toronto house or her Frogmore Cottage renovation?

She wore one vintage Courreges coat once when she was pregnant. That was it. She must have a wardrobe stuffed full of of all the very expensive, often couture, outfits she acquired in her working royal and only one of two pieces from that have ver been seen again while she buys many many new pieces.

Other than your imagination, Meghan has never given any indication that she values vintage.

I think it's because they're not on holiday, or a poor couple starting out. They're millionaires, but if they want to go down the second hand route, that's their choice. However, I wouldn't have thought they were eco conscious or into recycling, in fact they enjoy a life of conspicuous consumption, but you never know!

AtIusvue · 23/07/2025 15:01

Even the light fittings they have in the kitchen…it’s the old fashioned halogen bulbs.

Not a penny has been spent on the fixtures and fittings on that house. All they’ve done is buy some pottery barn furniture. Which is the rich persons version of buying from IKEA.

AtIusvue · 23/07/2025 15:02

Also the outdoor furniture is all the stuff that came with the house. Even the garish bright blue sun loungers and parasols around the pool. Why would you keep that? It looks naff.

That is weird, yes 😂

And not at all the same as buying things second hand or going on a self-catering holiday, neither of which I’d bet H+M ever do.
