Netflix deal is over

  • Both decided a statement won’t be released “Publicly, there will not be a statement and of course, if things change dramatically, they’d be open to a one-off project down the line.”
  • Talk about Paramount plus

It’s been pretty obvious for a while. No talk about the Archewell productions arm, the film they were making etc.

How long can As ever last when they won’t have NF to back it up with WLM infomercials.

And all totally calculated and manipulative.

Can’t agree more!

Is Bessie short for Elizabeth? I'd take either over Wallis!

No, her given name was Bessie Wallis.

I find her a fascinating character, and have read quite a few books about her. Also about her and Edward.

@HiRen

Agree about M's attitude to the UK.

And that's why I hope KC has absolutely NO truck with any kind of reconciliaton.

I'm not just being spiteful or blaming the woman here, but really, I don't see how any rapprochement can be possible while they are together. And before pps jump on me and say I'm wishing they divorce - no I'm not! My wish is for them to stay together, never bother Salty Island again, be happy with their children and live in comfortably wealthy obscurity.

That's not the same thing as saying that I see not chance of any thawing of the ice towards Harry while he has Meghan in tow. And then, only a private familial and very cautious re-connection with legal protection for the RF.

i have never believed the reconciliation rumours . I know some posters with PR knowledge are certain it will happen but I simply cannot see William agreeing to Harry being within 100 yards of Catherine and their children .
Charles may well have some contact but he is wise enough to know that with Harry , nothing stays private .

I’m completely with you on this lovely , I don’t think it’s likely for a second, anymore than any other of their pr manifesting, Bond girl , Dior , bodyguard 2, to name but a few!!
oh and the constant reasons for not attending events that they were not actually invited to in the first place!

It was a jaw-dropping choice! I don't know what her intentions were but it was either rude or tactless.

That was the occasion that she and Harry were booed on leaving the ceremony. But the real shocker was the very real possibility that they were both wearing mics! If you watch her arriving she's fiddling about with her collar, there's a bump in her coat lower down and I think you can actually see H's mic at one point.

That was the occasion when they'd deliberately (according to Tom Bower) missed the charabanc for minor royals, leaving from t he Wellington Barracks, which they were supposed to be on. They arrived late so they could walk in splendid isolation down the aisle and were then put out to discover they were seated in the two and threep'nies with all the minor royals. They fussed and tried to get better seats, but were told to go and do one (I paraphrase).

They are a pair of prize numpties really. I bet they got absolutely nothing on record if they were wired up because their seats had been very strategically chosen and they were surrounded by royal insiders, including that incredibly dishy equerry to KC....who sat behind them and kept a beady eye on them all the time!

The choreography by the Royals was brilliant. The move I liked best was seating them on inside seats so they couldn't just walk out if they got bored. One if the York sisters (I can't recall which) and her husband had to stand up to let them in. H's face is a picture.

Edited for typo

Imagine refusing to use the group transport, instead demanding their own limo!
At Charles and Camilla's wedding, all the guests went in the charabanc, including the Sultan of Brunei!

Imagine! For a limo to have been available, they must surelybhave arranged it in advance. Fleets of limos are not idling on the pathways of the Windsor Estate on the off-chance that a minor royal fancies showing off.

I think it was or prevent them from walking in front of/next to/immediately behind the senior royals! They walked where Beatrice (I think it was) allowed them to walk.

And at the Queen's funeral, all the Heads of State and Heads of Govt except Biden (and possiby Macron) were bussed in because of the logistical impossibility of having all those motorcades queueing up outside the Abbey then having to find somewhere to park.

HiRen · 31/07/2025 20:39

HonoriaBulstrode · 31/07/2025 18:16

I think she was still giving it a chance for that brief period around the wedding when it seemed the nation was in love with her and she was making Catherine look dowdy and drab in her frock coats

Catherine who was pregnant for all but the last 3-4 weeks of her engagement?

Catherine wasn't pregnant for all but 3-4 weeks of MM's time as a member or member-to-be of the RF in the UK!

Exactly. It's also better for security. So they all comply except for the Sussexes who are far too important!

I'm on the side of not going for sweet nods etc because there are only so many colours in the colour wheel and appropriate dresses etc will by and large have a resemblance to others. I do think M didn't quite get the British designer's memo & loved her Dior etc. But - hey ho - she was excited. She was at Northwestern so that sweatshirt I'll give her a bye there.

I do think M - and I may not be right here - must google - spent way more that Catherine in her first year of marriage on dresses. I think circa £500k. I assume she still has those dresses (well she wore the inside bit of the Caroline Herrera dress ) Now either she wears them , or has sold them , or is keeping them - but if H&M are not able to do the philanthropy they were saying they were - maybe she could auction them off for a charity 😉

Just a thought.

You’re right! I think the RF must have learned from what they did at the Commonwealth Service (their last appearance as working royals where M was dressed as a hideous green goblin). They were suppose to take their place in the procession, some way behind W&C, but you see H & M squeezing through rows of seats (moving some) to skip ahead - just like naughty children!

They are a pair of self-important clowns. And it’s all on film - in case anyone challenges me or says I make things up!🤭😄

I found the whole Diana dominance such a strange part of Spare.
When Harry takes her to Althorp, and finds her kneeling on Diana's grave, clutching the headstone and asking for guidance.
Putting the pregnancy test next to a picture of Diana in the hope of a positive result, having her picture in the labour room
It's quasi religious in the behaviour and iconography, and not at all healthy.

Certainly puts Andrew's obsession with teddy arranging to shame 😀

I blame all those generations of inbreeding 🤓

I remember that. It was quite something to see two grown adults be so petty. They had already had a strop because they weren’t in the procession coming into the abbey so W and C dropped out to placate them. I wouldn’t have.

I simply cannot see William agreeing to Harry being within 100 yards of Catherine and their children .

I agree.

I can however see W (however reluctantly) subbing Harold on the down low much as I believe Pa is subbing him now.

He's not going to be the first ever royal to go bust.

I agree , but there's a difference between going bust and where M&H think they need to be. If W says to his brother , I'll make sure you have a roof over your head ( but maybe not that one ) fair play & I suspect KC will leave some trust fund money for A&L. - I suspect Andrew might be quaking a bit over W's attitude about staying in Royal Lodge given time.

Maybe more in hope than expectation but I suspect W may be a bit sterner than his father.

Notably all the men dumped when they ceased to be useful.
is Harry more useful as a husband or ex husband? More money to be made dishing the dirt on the ex and his family. Interesting to see her next strategic move.

She will eventually overplay her hand IMHO.

I can't help saying she already has. But I do seriously get your point. Unless money goes to NF even Sarandos can't continue to be Gordoned (TM @MaturingCheeseball ) and he will be being monitored by shareholders etc. Either it will be a deal NF are happy with or not , but one man can't do that , even if he has been beguiled . The other people with money in the game will be keeping an eye out. I hope.

Her first year was amazingly expensive, even allowing for price rises. When Catherine first started as a working royal a lot of her outfits were from the high street, albeit tailored to fit.
