I was among many people who could not comprehend how one person could warp the entire media cycle...it is like black hole physics! Having lived through various Presidencies, politics was supposed to be boring. Presidents stayed in their lanes focused on policy.

Just the other day, live coverage of the Turnberry golf chat with Keir Starmer and the dissection of the free-wheeling Q&A drowned out all other news. Far more famous US celebrities are struggling to command US media attention, so it will be an uphill battle for H. Moreover, it is one he is not accustomed to, as the royal rota covered H from birth, hence his ongoing disproportionate UK coverage as one of the two children of the reigning monarch.

Unfortunately for H, Prince George turns 15 as Trump exits, so H has no time to gain traction in US media before his coverage with the UK royal rota evaporates in favor of Future King George VII.

I don't get these comparison posts. She wore a dress vaguely similar to one that Wallis wore in a portrait once.

She was projecting wounded and vulnerable in the interview because that was how she felt, or wanted us to think she was feeling. How many ways are there to show wounded and vulnerable.

People read so much into every look and every item of clothing.

To me the interview looked like Meghan and Harry doing Meghan and Harry. No copying, just being their authentic selves, their authentic selves being self obsessed navel gazers.

It seems totally bonkers to cosplay Wallis Simpson but the dress is so similar, not part fashionable and not really M’s usual style. I don’t think it was a coincidence. What was the point though?! I don’t think history has treated Wallis Simpson particularly kindly.

@Hoolahoophop - I’m not a fan of the “sweet nod” things and vague comparisons, but in this case it was rather remarkably similar - the centre parting and eye make-up. It made her look quite hard and cruel, I thought, and not in the least vulnerable.

Both. She was portraying herself as a wronged woman and the scourge of the RF.
If she had any intelligence, she would have avoided both comparisons.
However, both she and Harry have created a sort of living Diana -Memorial - Bitter - Vengeance thing, so that part was inevitable.

I have always thought she copied both Wallace and Diana.

I think the cosplaying of Wallis is an interesting one. If Meghan had informed herself at all, she would have understood that Wallis was an antisemitic pro segregationalist, friend of senior Nazis to the extent of socialising, and not afraid to make money where she could.

However, Celebitchy, in writing about the new-not-new wine, mentions in passing they haven't received a free jar of apricot spread they were promised. This shouldn't surprise anyone. Also, the press release is overwritten and is ad copy. The language needs stripping down to highlight the 'news'.
