Even in that interview there are tells about her need to portray herself grandly:

She hates that her character is a paralegal and not the lawyer.
She has to mention she went to North Western and waits for him to be impressed.
(He says he's never heard of it 🤣)
She has to say she studied international relations and worked in the embassy again pausing for people to be impressed.
When asked if she speaks any other languages apart from Spanish. She can't say no, she has to give a story about speaking French.

She is incapable of not showing off. Or self deprecation.

She does though, look good, show lots of leg, laughs at his jokes and isconfident.
She definitely has a sexy It factor that some more beautiful women lack. She did manage to bag Harry after all.
But it's something that lacks substance over time.

She initiated that with McIlroy, then spent some quality time with him 🙄

I have seen a clip of that interview. It’s cringeworthy and the interviewer has to work hard to sound even remotely interested in her. Who on earth boasts about studying Spanish or French in high school?! I mean she’s from southern California. Surely speaking Spanish is pretty common place. She’s actually a very boring person.

The main point is how she's dressed, that's a very clear image she's promoting.

The flirty tactics won’t work for much longer, it would be the same if Diana had lived and she was still doing the shy looking up from under her fringe flirty looks in middle age and beyond, it’s only effective when young, unless of course your victim is an octogenarian……

She obviously hates that she's the love interest on a tv show and she's bigging herself up as an intellectual instead.

It's not surprising she didn't want to carry on acting after marriage. She wasn't actually very interested in it beyond it giving her some fame for her next step up. To more fame, preferably feted as a philanthropist, thought leader, entrepreneur or something more fitting to her image of herself.

She used sexiness to move her way up in the world but then decried it as sexism and wanted to be seen as a feminist.
That interview shows it clearly: show up as sexy as possible but talk about how clever I am.

Sexy and playful are useful traits some women can use, just don't pretend you're something else.

It's the Late Late Show. That was Craig Ferguson's shtick. He would be flirty and near the knuckle. Some female guests did hilarious interviews with him, but Megan just didn't get the humour. You have to see him with his skeleton sidekick and panto horse to see what really captures his attention.

So true, @BigWillyLittleTodger . That can only work for so long. Plus, how can I put this.... Meghan's appearance has definitely changed. We all age and it's tough on women in the public eye, so if you rely on that it's problematic.

I think she should have gone into law.

Yes, it's generally quite a funny show and most guests go along with it, but I don't think she got it.

Meghan is keen on curating her image eg wiping Tyler Perry references from social media now he's been accused of sexusl harassment butcher's still plenty of evidence online that show her as vapid, self-interested and undignified.

You have to put the work in, though.

Well you have to hand it to Meghan. She snared a Prince and an HRH title to boot. She achieved her goal. She won’t let go easily unless something way better comes along. But she could lose her title If she remarried so I don’t think she will.
