It’s been pretty obvious for a while. No talk about the Archewell productions arm, the film they were making etc.

How long can As ever last when they won’t have NF to back it up with WLM infomercials.

Back in early 2022 the Daily Mail was running an identical article saying William and Kate were eying Fort Belvedere up as they wanted to move closer to Windsor to spend more time with QEII. As we know, they opted for Adelaide Cottage instead - closer to the Castle and much smaller.

Slow Royal news week, I imagine! The grounds look lovely, even if the turrets look windowless.

Interesting, @Serenster ! I did think it was a bit strange. Why would they move again so soon when they've had so much upheaval in their lives, recently?

Every year there always seems to be a news story (or two) suggesting the Waleses are eyeing up a new property — usually Royal Lodge, though Fort Belvedere pops up occasionally too. I think it’s just filler content, especially during this quieter time of year when they’re doing fewer public engagements and any royal headline is guaranteed to get clicks.

Personally, I think Adelaide Cottage will remain their home base until they eventually move into Windsor Castle — probably sooner than we expect.

one … why all the shots from suits of her in motion? Are they trying for a montage? , is there not enough shots of her in royal footage flattering enough? 🤔.

two.. without wishing to be unkind.. this is my first view of her “acting” in suits and well … it’s not good is it! , even without sound and her just walking into various rooms…the acting is not believable, I’ve seen more convincing Lidl adverts.

Fair point 😅. I think that "acting" is a very broad term, isn't it? Some people act, others...appear.

Fort Belvedere was used by Edward VIII as his private retreat. Possibly doesn't, or didn't, have pleasant associations for the RF. And probably wouldn't have been thought appropriate to give it to H&M, given the divorced American association.

Good points, although it had already been lived in by the Galens for more than 35 years by then, so wasn't a consideration anyway.

I’m noticing a lot of pro Harry articles penned by Charlotte Griffiths. She really seems like a cheerleader for him at the moment. Interesting how she is referring to him now spending time with people who he was very close to “before he met Meghan”. That seems very pointed to me. If this is an agenda driven by Harry then he’s more ruthless than I have given him credit for. He’s saving himself, not them.

apparently after his “mine “ walk Harry visited Botswana for a three day visit with another of his “ parental “ figures!
( how many does he have?!) , it was a secret visit that was somehow announced to the media ??
does this man ever spend time with his family?

I think it's been said that Philip used to enjoy hosting dinner parties at Fort Belvedere, @StrawberryWasp, so maybe he wanted to hang on to it?

In any case it was the place where Edward VIII hung around with Wallis, so I'm not sure the family would have thought it appropriate for H&M - especially if they really did suspect the way it was going to go

It always amused me though to think of Meghan being told they were getting Frogmore, googling it and getting Frogmore House, and recoiling with horror on realising it would actually be Frogmore Cottage
In fairness aerial pictures show it to be lovely, but there's no denying the usual media pics make it look like a row of run down council homes

Not sure if this has been shared ? The way it is written ( Charlotte Griffiths again) is making out that Harry is being magnanimous in sharing his diary so that the RF can plan accordingly !?
On what planet is he living that the RF will consider what H and M are doing before they arrange events?

This is the silliest article I have seen in the DM about the Royal family for a long time. Who is going to believe that any diary of a working royal is going to be shared with Harry? His jaunt to Angola didn't happen to coincide with Camilla's birthday. Harry must have arranged it to coincide with her birthday.
