I’m somewhat fascinated by the instagram following of Kate’s former stylist and personal assistant of 15 years.

Understandable to monitor fashion blogs like whatmeghanwore but what’s the interest in Heather Dorak or Daniel Martin?

She even followed Meghan and asever before hastily unfollowing - why hide now?

Perhaps part of her new luxury fashion consultancy is keeping tabs on in-laws friends and associates.

I’m sure @CoffeeCantatahas the date in her diary and will be back soon to enlighten us all.

Back from motorway drive - sorry!

Well,, the first public attack came in the OW interview, but clearly the campaign to undermine and eventually destroy C’s image had been going on for some time.

Meghan fired the first bitchy salvo against her on The Tig after the 2012 we’d, so you could say that was the start.

im sure historians will debate this point in years to come🧐

No iced ! , I find it boring and childish.

Same discussions, going round and round and round and round for getting on 7 years now!

You don’t find it strange that she was following Meghan’s hair stylist, make up artist, pilates instructor, close friends?

Why would she be keeping tabs on those people?

Oh that is interesting. And so funny!

Christ @Raystar, which British journalists suggested Meghan should be lynched or thrown off a balcony? I missed that completely.

BemusedAmerican · 12/07/2025 13:12

You've obviously never seen "The Godfather". Michael Corleone utters the famous line "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" ( I'm paraphrasing a bit).

Plus the sheer amusement value of those accounts...

Serenster · 12/07/2025 13:13

Just look at the Saint Meghan Markle sub, its honestly disturbing. They invent wild conspiracy theories, twist everything she does, and fuel a nonstop hate campaign.

Of course the Kate Middleton Missing and Royalty Tea subs are completely sane and not vile at all…

BemusedAmerican · 12/07/2025 13:35

If reddit bothers you, then don't read it.

I've given up reading the Real Estate section of the "NY Times, since it's bad for my blood pressure.

Yes, it’s bad but let’s not forget that the Saint Meghan Markle existed long before the Kate Missing Royal tea. Those newer subs came after years of relentless media attacks and smears against Meghan and other women, which the Royal Family either ignored or tacitly supported.

none of these spaces are healthy. The ones attacking Meghan are especially vile, most users openly wish her harm, spread outrageous lies, and twist everything she does beyond recognition, i've never seen anyone wishing Kate harm on the other side to that extent. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Neither Meghan nor Kate deserves this kind of obsessive hate.

Still, we can’t pretend the British media and a significant portion of Kate’s fanbase aren’t steeped in racism and misogyny. A lot of what’s said about Meghan is rooted in that, and it’s disturbing how normalized it’s become.

Posters from the Saint Meghan Markle sub are banned from posting on the Royals Gossip sub.

But posters from Kate Middleton Missing and Royalty Tea subs have free reign to post lies, abusive language and misinformation to the Royals Gossip sub.

And reddit...that is founder techbro Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams' husband. Serena who is friends with M. The drastic change in coverage of the British RF from before 2017 and afterwards is quite obvious.

so I will be more direct, this is Mumsnet not Reddit, most long term posters are discussing threads and comments from Mumsnet .

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2022-12-19/jeremy-clarkson-apology-meghan-markle-game-of-thrones

Jeremy Clarkson’s article was absolutely vile disgusting on every level. Even Piers Morgan, of all people, spoke out against it. Clarkson literally wrote that he hated Meghan more than a serial killer, described grinding his teeth in hatred, and fantasized about her being paraded naked through the streets while people threw human waste at her. That’s not just hatebit’s deranged.

The article was eventually taken down, what made it worse was what followed: instead of condemning it, the Royal Family welcomed Clarkson. They received him publicly not a word of criticism, not a single gesture to distance themselves. That’s not neutrality; that’s complicity. It sends a loud message about where they stand.

About the throwing out of balcony .https://www.newsweek.com/british-tv-host-jokes-about-throwing-prince-harry-meghan-markle-over-queen-palace-balcony-1699641

Thats the thing they needed to endure🫠, any sane person would had left. Anyway off topic here I guess...

The Sun has taken down a vitriolic column by TV host Jeremy Clarkson that slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their new Netflix series.

There must be some mistake, surely? Last year they were all falling over themselves with glee at the prospect Kate had been horrendously beaten up by William and was in a coma, having nearly died, after an affair with Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband - who William had murdered in a fit of rage at discovering their affair.

Even now they are hunting for evidence of scars on Kate’s face in photos of her outings, which they consider to be evidence that William beats her up. They also speculate that she’s more or less under house arrest. When they are not falling over themselves to declare her dangerously anorexic, of course.

I think you read selectively. (And a lot of that tripe made it over to MN last year by the way, despite the wilder conspiracy theories about Meghan generally having absolutely no truck here).

And I was actually responding with evidence to someone who claimed that Meghan’s critics just state facts (not true) while insisting that Kate and her circle are simply innocent victims who’ve never deserved criticism. I think my point might’ve flown over your head, though; sorry if I wasn’t clearer.

Is that like Meghan and Harry meeting and interacting with Sussex Squad members? I agree, I’ve always thought that sends a terrible message. And being so close to Omid Scobie too…

There was a wave of wild conspiracy theories in the media too, especially after the Palace claimed Kate didn’t have cancer, only for her to later reveal that she actually did. That understandably fueled a lot of public suspicion. Then there was the Kate releasing Photoshopped pics controversy, which added to the chaos, and even some awful celebrity behavior, like Blake Lively mocking Kate, which was in very poor taste. I don’t recall anyone being gleeful about Kate's illness. Sure, there are always a few cruel people in any public discussion (thankfully I didnt saw that), but the vast majority weren’t celebrating her suffering.

My point is: both sides have their toxic extremes, but one is backed by the British media and and their friends and of employes stalking Meghan. Many Kate supporters are just as guilty of cherry-picking and completely ignoring past events, especially the years of abuse and racism Meghan endured. Other Meghan fans also fuel conspiracies. Acting like only one side is unhinged is just not honest.

And I will repeat! That comment referred to Mumsnet posters!
your evidence is nothing more than carefully selected snippets from other forums or sm .
this is Mumsnet, posters here are not responsible for other posters comments on different forums.

i personally ( and I’m not alone ) do not want to discuss bizarre rumours about Meghans pregnancy or Catherine being dead from Reddit!
whats posted there has nothing to do with me or other posters on Mumsnet .

if you have an issue you should take it there and complain.

And I will add , your last post proves you are not posting facts but rumours.
the palace never claimed Catherine didn’t have cancer!
they didn’t claim anything at all !
they issued a statement saying she was having health issues and would be taking time away.
nobody was owed the ins and outs of another person’s private health information.

Don't you think the media were doing that way before Meghan was on the scene what with all there waity Katie headlines. I think those have done fair amount of damage to her image too and we're the first public attacks of Kate that we all saw.

Spectre8 · 12/07/2025 14:31

NormaMajors1992coat · 12/07/2025 10:58

To be fair, I think at least some of the ‘who had it worse’ scenario comes from Harry and Meghan claiming that she had it worse! It’s a claim they keep repeating and one which like a lot of the stuff they say, doesn’t stand up awfully well to scrutiny. What with the manufactured headlines and deceptive footage used on the Oprah interview.

When was the last time they repeat that claim? I havent seen them say it recently...so how often are they. You seem to know

NormaMajors1992coat · 12/07/2025 14:32

@Raystar

Ok so “British journalists suggested Meghan should be lynched or thrown off a balcony” = Jeremy Clarkson suggesting neither of those things, Eamonn Holmes wondering why the RF don’t throw Harry off the balcony and Meghan with him, and nobody at all suggesting that Meghan should be lynched? You have one journalist, not journalists, not really suggesting that Meghan should be thrown off a balcony? And no mention at all of lynching?

This kind of thing really undermines the poor bullied Meghan narrative - surely there should be no need to make stuff up?

BemusedAmerican · 12/07/2025 14:34

And Scoble never apologized to that poor Dutch translator whom HE said mistranslated his book and named Charles and Catherine as racists. To me that demonstrates his true character.
