I’m somewhat fascinated by the instagram following of Kate’s former stylist and personal assistant of 15 years.

Understandable to monitor fashion blogs like whatmeghanwore but what’s the interest in Heather Dorak or Daniel Martin?

She even followed Meghan and asever before hastily unfollowing - why hide now?

Perhaps part of her new luxury fashion consultancy is keeping tabs on in-laws friends and associates.

It doesnt affect me but God forbid i stand up for myself. Maybe people should go find something else entertaining then two people overseas who clearly affect them alot they need to be here constantly bitching about them...goes both ways dont you think

I would say that it does judging by your choice of language recently but hey ho 🤷‍♀️ . Standing up for yourself ? Well let's be honest this also goes two ways and your normal comments of why do you care blah blah are usually just attacks on posters who bring some facts to the board. I rarely if ever see you bring facts here.

Except all of us who post here regularly do some with interesting posts: information exchange, drawing evidence from various sources, historical knowledge, professional insights, interesting personal points of view that we don't all agree with, respectful discourse and plenty of humour. We actually address the matters at hand and we don't just attack along the lines of, "Why do you care?" We tell you why we care, and you ignore it. Occasionally we get a bit angry, but it's not a constant state of mind, and it is usually directed at the situation, not other posters. All you do is have a go at people for being interested in the topic, and then you turn the thread into all about you and your right to post and your feelings and your bus journeys. It's the same thing every time.

You say lighten up then lighten up its a forum so what if there are mistakes in posts lighten up its not that serious ...take your own advice before dishing it out. And ill only get personal if you do it first...cos ill treat people back the way they treat me. So maybe check your own behaviour first not that you ever apologise for it but expect it to apologise for mine

As I said in my post...

I'm not bothered by mistakes in SPAG - we all do them.

But some of your posts are unintelligible, and that's different. I know it's not because you can't spell! It's because, as you openly admit, you dash off your posts and don't give a f about them.

That comes over as rude and disrespectful. I know it's not a spelling problem - it's an "I don't give a damn" problem. I sometimes cannot answer your points because you've hit every key on the keyboard!

I don't think I've got anything to apologise for, but if you point it out specifically and I have been rude, I will apologise.

CoffeeCantata · 16/07/2025 13:53

I don’t mind your not replying, Spectre, but please note I have engaged with the points you raised. I assume your silence means you are happy with my response, your concerns were resolved and we can now consider the matter closed.

What a relief!

I don’t think anyone would mind the typos really if you wanted to chat about the thread topic instead of being in constant attack mode. Your posts can be difficult to read I’m afraid but people will make the effort of you meet them halfway.

I really hope you’re not as unhappy as you sound.

wordler · 16/07/2025 16:58

I don't think attacking each other like this is helpful. Everyone makes typos and autocorrections by accident.

I've never noticed any issue with the comprehension of @Spectre8 's posts.

And I think I would notice as I'm always baffled by any of the posters who consistently defend M&H without question, so usually pay extra attention to their posts to see if I can work out why there is such blind devotion from some quarters.

prelovedusername · 16/07/2025 17:04

I constantly have to edit as I post without noticing my errors, I’ve spotted one in my last post. It really isn’t about typos, but when people type literally as they are thinking it can sometimes be difficult to process the result. For me anyway.

I never mind typos or SPAG errors as long as I can understand what’s being said.

But aggression and rudeness is not acceptable ever.

No aggression and rudeness isn’t acceptable. You have had a post deleted for breaking talk guidelines just recently.

You need to read my posts. (I think I’ve asked you to do that before!)

I suspect we have different ideas about what constitutes rudeness, and you were reprimanded yesterday for a rude post. Luckily for you, I didn’t ask for that personal attack to be deleted but you were called out for it by a number of people.

There are some posters, as has been said frequently, who come on here to be rude and attack others but are very reluctant to engage with a discussion. I don’t understand those people! I guess they have no answers.

Batwinged · 16/07/2025 21:00

Radice · 15/07/2025 11:36

This is my take on all this saga: The real issue with the royalists isn’t that Meghan married Harry, it’s that she didn’t play the submissive role they scripted for her.

They wanted Meghan to be obsessed with Kate, instead, it’s painfully clear it’s the other way around. All they use as proof is that Meghan once wrote a blog post that mentioned the royal wedding in passing saying she wanted to he a Thundercats instead of a Royal. While that, Kate's staff like Natasha following all Meghan's friends years after she left, reports of Kate being a big fan of Suits and being inspired by her style to say the least, are convenietly ignored.

She wasn’t meant to stand beside Kate; she was meant to keep, to gush, to flatter, to validate Kate’s ego by acting beneath her. Those people cling to the fact that Kate will be Queen consort like it’s some divine achievement, when in reality, it’s a title granted by proximity, not merit like being a self made millionaire. Funny how they don't show this same reverence for Camilla, or any other consort in history. It’s not about the title. It’s about using it to position Kate as superior to Meghan, when most real life people in reality dont care for any of that.

It’s about using it to position Kate as superior to Meghan, when most real life people in reality don't care for any of that.

Well Meghan clearly does as she insists on using her royal title in a republic as well as choosing to put that on her young children.

She even elevates herself to HRH behind closed doors as we have seen with her using HRH on her correspondence with her friends!!!!

Batwinged · 16/07/2025 21:20

Radice · 15/07/2025 12:14

It’s wild how you claim Meghan wanted status so badly, yet walked away from the institution entirely,v while Kate waited a decade for a ring. If Meghan was obsessed with hierarchy, she wouldn't have left it behind.

And let’s be honest: the idea that Meghan ran ahead of the Queen or tried to be top dog is tabloid and haters nonsense repeated to fit a hateful narrative. A woman like her didnt have enough power in that institution and british media, anyone with two braincells know it. No one flounced, they were pushed out, after relentless smear campaigns and palace leaks.

Harry and Meghan made choices to protect their mental health. If that offends you more than racismo and a literal Prince accused of sexual abuse, maybe recheck your priorities.

And Catherine? If she truly didn’t care about Meghan, her stylist wouldn’t have followed every friend, trainer, and hairdresser in Meghan’s life.
Try again.

Edited

Nope - she loves the hierarchy - evidenced by her insisting on using the defunct/redundant 'Duchess' the title in a republic, foisting the optional hierachical titles on her very young children and using the 'HRH' - that she's forbidden to use publicly with her friends in private - how cringe!

She didn't walk away to protect her MH. Nor were they forced out. It is on record that MM has injured the MH of some of her employees who she hounded from their jobs and who then required medical intervention to recover from the emotional onslaught from just going to work for her.

They wanted 1/2 in 1/2 out - see the statement they issued about making their own cash whilst collaborating with QE2.

They wanted to bring their royal status to Hollywood to monetise it. That was not acceptable to the BRF so they flounced and we have witnessed the most ridiculous and vexatious narcisistic rage over the last few years spewing hate via OW, NF docuseries, Spare, numerous interviews etc. like a toddler tantrum.

Why would anyone who was so brutalised by an institution as she has claimed insist on being so closely associated with it by using titles for themselves and their DCs?

why does the fact their wedding which cost you approx £1 bother you that much after all this time that you feel the need to come and keep going on about it .. genuinely why? I dont understand why anyone is... when people rant about how much the rf costs us they say the same...its very little individually who cares

Is it waste though?

It was a great spectacle which millions across the world enjoyed. It brought in loadsamoney for the broadcast rights and did great things for tourism.

And these events employ hundreds of specially skilled people from musicians to caterers to florists to designers and dressmakers. I think of royalty as a kind of industry which employs all kinds of these specialists- wages are a big part of the cost you object to, but I don’t see it as a waste.

Out of curiosity, would Harry have signed some kind of waiver before sauntering across a minefield so that his estate can't sue Halo or the government? It just seems like an enormous liability to me, especially as he appears to be a bad luck magnet.

I very much doubt there is any active danger where he is walking, no more than there was when Diana did it.

DelectableMe · 17/07/2025 07:23

I do wish Harry wouldn't replicate the Diana moments. It's really not healthy. He could support the cause without the photoshoot.

I'm going to elaborate on this: I volunteer for an org that involves me compiling risk assessments pretty much every week. There is no way a charity would risk assess a celebrity/patron/untrained "civilian" doing a publicity stunt in a live minefield and decide it was ok to go ahead with it. Not unless they were incompetent. If the celebrity wanted to go walking near lie mines, he/she would have to sign all manner of legal waivers on liability. And even then, I wouldn't risk assess it as doable.
