Talking of Rose ; back in the 70s I went to a restaurant with friends and we asked for rose wine . It was the time when Mateus Rose was very popular ( I am old!). Anyway we clocked the waiter pouring half a bottle of white and half a bottle of red into a carafe !!
Needless to say , we didn’t accept it much to his surprise .

Profhilodisaster · 28/06/2025 09:41

I haven't seen as many fans opening their purchases this time, just a very young looking woman and an over exuberant chap.

TheAutumnCrow · 28/06/2025 09:55

Oh god he’s really enmeshed with this ‘most oppressed’ Meg narrative.

All this high faluting talk about all their achievements and their philanthropic work. What work? I honestly don’t know what he thinks they are achieving that’s so very exceptional . I thought Archewell was as more or less dead in the water?

Victoria Ward of the Telegraph gets the ‘flying a flag’ gig today.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2025/06/27/harry-meghan-sussex-heart-king-charles-funeral-plan/

Harry and Meghan blah blah and the King’s future funeral blah blah reconciliation plan blah blah King’s dearest wish blah blah.

Yeah well the King will be, you know, dead - and King William will still have to agree to any of this shit. And it would give W immense control over Harry (and Meg), so H will probably whine about it anyway, especially the bit about walking through the streets of London without 28 million personal bodyguards with bigly guns.

That's quite an article.

When you couple this piece with all the recent puff pieces about what a great king W will be I'm really starting to wonder if C's health is worse than we're being led to believe.

OccasionalHope · 28/06/2025 10:20

LOL at Harry talking about truth.

AtIusvue · 28/06/2025 10:29

She also hasn’t updated her Shopmy Meghan page in weeks and weeks and it’s down to just one page. I’m guessing it was just a data collection experiment.

So she can show potential investors etc- look how much impact I have. What I wear sells out etc.

Old Ted at NF keeps banging on about her ability to make merch fly off the shelves. Maybe this was some sort of data deal to find out if she does have direct impact. Both her Shopmy page and As ever launched around the same time but the Shopmy experiment seems to have ended.

MrsFinkelstein · 28/06/2025 11:02

Victoria Ward basically admitting who her source is, and it ain't UK based.

As ever, the call is coming from inside the house Haz!

Does this journalist really think we’re too stupid to know and understand the King would want all of his family at his funeral.

Frankly I’m rather pissed off that anyone would think we need article in the paper about it.

My dinger is absolutely going here!

The thrust of that article, though, is all about H being front and centre, walking next to W in the funeral procession. As in, W's equal.

It reads like a Montecito wish list of how the funeral should be conducted.

It is as if - the original plan to use adjacency to the RF to sell stories, stay relevant and make money having failed spectacularly - H&M are reduced to making stuff up about the RF to sell stories, stay relevant and make money

I don't think that is logical. If they are bigging William up as King surely that indicates that he might be king sooner than was expected?

I really hope it doesn't but that makes more sense than it being about Catherine. I suspect that Catherine and William don't care about optics around being hard workers anymore. They are aware that once William is king that is for life and they are even more determined since her illness to have family time and for Catherine to heal at her own pace.

It would be really bad optics if Harry wasn't at his dad's funeral. William may not trust his brother but I think he has a good sense for what is right and he would naturally expect his brother to have the appropriate role in the event.

Harry is delusional about his status in the world since he left the working royals but he doesn't stop being a son.

I think by 'C' the poster was meaning King Charles

Does anyone know about these drop shipping businesses? Will Kunde charge Meghan commission for letting her use their product? I'm just trying to have a guess at how much she's going to be flogging 'her' wine for.

StartupRepair · 28/06/2025 11:40

Anyone else thinks it a little unseemly for H and M to be anticipating Charles' funeral as a rebranding opportunity ? What about apologising to him, Camilla and William and Catherine and reconciling while he is still alive?

I don't think his health is necessarily worse than we've been led to believe - I just think that people fill in the gaps around official statements as they wish. We've only been told what is necessary (and rightly - anyone is due privacy, even royalty).

We've been told (Feb 2024) that the King was diagnosed with cancer (not prostatic) due to findings when he had a prostate procedure in January 2024. He returned to public duties in April.
We know he is still having treatment (March 2025) as he was briefly readmitted due to having a reaction. This was described as a 'minor blip' which could seem like down-playing but he was only in hospital for one afternoon.
We also know that he wants to continue working as much as possible.

I suspect he's quite unwell. He's in his late 70's on treatment for cancer. He looks tired and grey towards the end of a public engagement and leans heavily on his umbrella.

Will add a '3' to the 'C' in future to differentiate.

I'm not sure there's any "as if" about it, @Rhaidimiddim
Shorn of any current info on the RF, and with their extensive record of making things up, inventing things about their only real source of interest seems all too predictable

And speaking of their attempts to make themselves royal adjacent, what happened to their next faux royal tour - Ghana, wasn't it?
We don't seem to have heard anything else about it and I wondered why

It's right up there with "I don't know how much time he's got left" in crassness.

That Telegraph article also addresses this, labouring it that Invictus 2027 and Charles's 80th birthday provide opportunities for Charles to mend the breach with H, so that H can fully participate in his dad's funeral.

I'm not old old and in good health, I have, however, had a quick discussion regarding my funeral wishes with my daughter and that was hard enough (don't talk about it mum , I don't want to think about it)
So to have your death discussed when you are actually unwell must be quite distressing .

In fairness none of us know how long we've got left, but as you suggest it's not something to be said in a TV interview about someone already gravely ill - or at least it's not if the speaker has any discretion at all

As for whenever the funeral happens, I see no real problems about Harry's attendance even if nothing's changed. After all he attended the Queen's, where someone had the sense to stick Peter Philips between him and his brother, if worst comes to worst they can always find another suitable hat for Anne to seat him behind Wink, and if he prefers not to attend any further family events I imagine they'll cope without him
