It was produced by Oprahs company Harpo , so I'm guessing she did.

I’ve heard that too. As she came to realise she’d been played, she wanted rid of that very embarrassing interview.

I think there is an air of resentment around Meghan towards Doria. Maybe because she never had the picture perfect childhood. We know in high school she wrote this poem:

Two houses, two homes, two kitchens, two phones,
Two couches where I lay, two places that I stay,
Moving, moving here and there, from Monday to Friday I'm everywhere,
Don't get me wrong, it's not that bad
But often times it makes me sad,
I want to live that nuclear life,
With a happy dad and his loving wife,
A picket fence, a shaggy dog,
A fireplace with a burning log,
But it's not real, it's just a dream,
I cannot cry or even scream,
So here I sit with cat number three,
Life would be easy if there were two of me.”

Think that’s why she is so determined to show how perfect her life is. She married a Prince and has a Princess daughter, Archie the future Duke.
She paints herself as the devoted mother who does it all be all because ‘she doesn’t want to miss a moment’. That poem is very telling that she doesn’t mention at all, her mum. It’s that she wants her dad to have the ‘perfect wife’. I think she’s playing that part in her head. The perfect wife.

Funny, because Doria who was away for parts of Megs childhood because of her pretty normal jobs- Meg seems to think she can legit run a billionaire business whilst being the perfect trad wife mum who stays at home. Also an indicator of why As ever is destined to fail. You cant be everything. But I think it’s this point she has to prove to her mum….you can be around, you can do pickups, you can volunteer at school and you can run a super successful business. She’s full of resentment for her own childhood.

They’ve never seemed especially close to me. It’s a very strange dynamic when you see the pair of them. She talks to her mum in the way she’d talk to anybody. Usually, there’s some form of deference around your mum but Meg doesn’t have that.

So Megs built this fake life. Married to a Prince, lives in the perfect climate, in the perfect McMansion home, that has soho house mood music pumped throughout the house 24/7, one boy and one girl, 3 dogs (no longer cats). She picks flowers and fruit and veg from the garden and ‘shares’ her joy with fans (for a cost)

Anything that gets in her way or anyone that holds her accountable, is cut off and it’s their problem- theyre racist, jealous etc.

She’s perfect in her own eyes. She doesn’t even think about failure.

Edited

I think the words of the poem "a happy dad and his loving wife" are interesting.

Yes, wife is to rhyme with life, but it stood out to me that is dad and wife not dad and mum. And the relationship is not with her, but her dad.

And I wonder if Catherine’s secure middle-class childhood and lack of drama in her family was one of the reasons Meghan targeted her?

Well, Catherine had everything Meghan didn’t. Including the husband on a higher social par than her own.

I’ve heard that too. As she came to realise she’d been played, she wanted rid of that very embarrassing interview.

It was a disgraceful interview, performative and malicious. OW’s reputation was damaged by it, possibly irreparably, so no wonder she wants it gone.

But the internet is forever so all the scrubbing in the world can’t obliterate it entirely. Like the Royal Family documentary, it’s there somewhere, ready to emerge.

CreationNat1on · 27/06/2025 14:21

Delia would have been a nice mix between Doria, Diana and Lilly. Delia Sussex has a nice ring to it.

Regarding the poem, Megs was always the victim. Just wait until she has teenagers herself, karma!

Quite. Three little ones to manage, everything calm and under control, while the person with the immobile baby is acting like she’s wrestling a polar bear.

I loved the picture from that day when Kate produced tupperware boxes of snacks she'd brought along and George and Charlotte sat among a load of bags and stuff in the car boot to eat.

The morning after HLMTQ died and the whole world was paying respects their respects OW scheduled and extraordinary interview with Gayle King to back track from the 'bombshell' interview when she realised she was on the wrong side of history despite having monestised and dined out on it for the previous 18 months.

Yes it is a sweet photo.
Latest rumour from Twitter about the wine launch:
In order to sell liquor online, Meghan Markle needs to have an ABC license from the state of California; she doesn't. Tick Tock, Meghan. #MeghanMarkle No pending licenses, either.

That's interesting @ThePoshUns . Latest ineptitude of (how many is it now)?

Instead of all their Chiefs of Staff and CEOs and whatever, they just need one person who has the vaguest clue about running a business. It isn't exactly Amazon as it is, it's microscopically small in internet terms.

Said it before and will boringly say it again, there are sellers on Etsy with 100 times the business nous, customer service skills (and more products)

AtIusvue · 27/06/2025 14:42

Just a thought from Emma grede podcast Megs was on.

She talks about how family and As ever are her sole focus now. She doesn’t mention much at all about WLM, save for taking about the edits and how she was too busy with that for anymore podcasts.

She also talks about how she works with the different building of Netflix now- consumer products.

So between both of these statements, I don’t think there will be a WLM series 3.

otherwise:

  • it would have been announced
  • they would be in pre production if not already filming
  • theres nothing in the press about filming permits etc
  • she would still be working in the ‘productions’ building of NF
  • she would be mentioning it heavily on the podcasts she does

Im thinking WLM was purely just to launch As ever. We knew they were just infomercials but I thought they would follow all of Meghans ‘drops’ but… I think it was just designed to associate Meg with cooking and hospitality. Because people were all thinking…..she’s not a chef etc, why is she launching this brand? They’ve now put in the groundwork to establish that this is what Meg ‘does’, so there’s no need to continue. They aren’t great shows, every review was a shocker.

So the podcast is over and I think WLM is over after series 2 is aired. She’s making it look like her sole focus is on As ever but she doesn’t yet realise she’s just playing rich wife make believe. You see her in the recent pics, thinking she’s the food art director, helping with lighting etc. It makes her think she’s doing something important- but it’s the stuff NF etc are letting her do to make her think she’s special while everybody else does the hard work.
The latest photos on the As ever site were very amateurish- not sure if that’s a cut in budget or what. In the photo posted, there’s no way a professional food art director was used. You can hardly see the box and the spread, they are smothered in flowers, the placement doesn’t draw the eye- you have to actively look for them, scale is off. Looks terrible.

Can start to smell another failure.

How can she get everything so wrong? A rhetorical question, but who on earth is advising her ?
I don't know how these things work but maybe she's covered by the company that are actually supplying the wine ?

Vespanest · 27/06/2025 15:07

I would assume the license would be held by snows, as the distributor.

RedRosesPinkLilies · 27/06/2025 15:22

@AtIusvue the actual products are not in sharp focus- it’s the handle and rim of the basket that are in focus. I do hate a badly taken photo!!

I read it as she can promote and 'sell' the wine but all proceeds have to go directly to the supplier who can then return any profits or commission back to her.
ETA : so As Ever is just the agent

Yes, in the same way that they would presumably have had their premises inspected for food hygiene and the like. Meghan doesn't need to go to all that trouble herself because, as has been said, 'As Ever' is basically a dropshipping outlet. Generic white labelled goods sold at a high markup to her cult fans.

@Lundewhy so much excitement over a photo. Remember they’re just a normal family like the rest of us. Eating in Tupperware boxes is probably the norm for them.

Uricon2 · 27/06/2025 17:35

Bit off topic. Some years ago I was on holiday (nice N Yorks seaside town) and wandered a bit off the main drag. Tiny shop selling jewellery and accessories, very young woman running it. Took to a quirky little necklace. She said proudly "My schoolfriend makes them, they've been in Vogue!"

2 doors up, small deli, equally young lady proprietor (v early 20s at most). She apologised for the lack of stock but she'd only just opened and had more coming in tomorrow as she'd been to a trade fair in Birmingham and ordered "lots" (it was early in the season and what she had was lovely)

I departed with my necklace plus some as gifts, goodies and a sense of pride in these enterprising young "female founders" who were throwing heart and soul into their little businesses.

Apologies for the derail but the contrast with As Ever and the podcast, from someone with all the resources in the world, really struck me recently.

The most plausible source for Archie's name is that it is for Major Tom Archer-Burton (know as Archie), Harry's CO and close friend. There was speculation it was for Diana's ancestor Archibald Campbell 9th Earl of Argyll, but I think that is a bit arcane even for another Diana linkie (and he ended up with his head on a spike for complicity with Cromwell)

Close friend fair enough of course but had I been Meghan I might have wanted one of my family names used for at least one of the children, especially instead of the unnecessary patronym "Harrison". I know it could be argued that the Wales's didn't exactly go off piste from traditional Royal names (although Elizabeth is Catherine and Carole Middletons second name and now Charlotte's) but H&M weren't exactly bound by the same restrictions.

(Have learned that Doria has a younger half brother called Joffrey. Perhaps not... one for the Thrones fans😂although I'm sure there are plenty of other choices)

Carol’s choices for names are very royal adjacent -

Catherine Elizabeth (two Queens names)
Phillippa Charlotte (Phillip / Charles)
James William (two Kings names)

Profhilodisaster · 27/06/2025 17:45

I think the thing (amongst many other things) that has irked people is that she is using mass produced spreads , when she constantly banged on in WLM about how she made them herself. She said in one podcast how all her friends said her jam made them so happy and that's where the idea of selling them came from.
