H&M Fathers Day video

So they are showing faces now, how long until they are including them in everything, showing them fully.
I feel like this is a bit desperate now. It was their last card to play, the children. They’re trying anything now for attention, what do they have left, showing private videos of them after all the criticism about the Wales children being on display.
One thing about them is they always surprise me.

My god.

The woman is really, really so out of touch, even with her own life. Classic and timeless is not what I would call her personal aesthetic.

AtIusvue · 17/06/2025 11:16

Emma: whats the thing that you are most proud of in your career/ in your business?

Meg: ‘Investing in myself’

Shes the gift that keeps on giving.

😁

Thanks so much Altusvue for the synopsis.

I suppose she was always unlikely to say bland, creased and ill-fitting 😂

How long is this ep @AtIusvue
Feels like it’s gone on for an age

AtIusvue · 17/06/2025 11:11

Emma: what your own relationship to money like?

Meg: something something… coupons when younger…. used promo codes (still does for free shipping)….been financially responsible for a long time and doesn’t frivolously spend.

No you bought a mansion when you didn’t have a job and that’s why the book deals and selling out the family was done…:to cover the costs.

Not to mention the ludicrous spending on outfits when in the RF

AtIusvue · 17/06/2025 11:29

Emma: what advice would you give your younger self?.

Meg: lists a bunch of fridge magnet quotes. Says her 15 year old self would be really proud of her today.

Emma: what are you currently aspiring for in your personal life?

Meg: success, emotional success. (No I don’t know what the hell that means either)

Thats it folks. Over and out!

Emma: you’ve made the decision to stop this now (podcast) and focus on this business

Meg: you have to

So confirming the podcast is a flop and is no more 😂

Ha ha ha! How many podcasts are made by people who are actually incredibly busy?! She’s been dumped.

volunteer to serve hot lunch at school or be the chaperone for the kindergarten field trip’

With or without armed bodyguards on hand? Wonder what the other parents make of that (if, indeed, it happens)

And the wedding reception that went way over budget.

But of course she wasn't paying, so it didn't matter.

The over-budget reception is in Finding Freedom, so must have come from them. I can't understand why you would want the world to know that you were so irresponsible with someone else's money.

Uricon2 · 17/06/2025 11:35

Many thanks @AtIusvue Flowers (handpicked of course!)

Mums who do this are typically bored at home and either wanting meaningful interaction during the day or they want an up to date reference to get back into the workforce. I wonder what need this fills for her?

Thedom · 17/06/2025 11:44

I can't believe she said so many 'friends' called to say her jam made them 'happy', wtf. Was Harry dropping a few of his happy pills into the jam?

I wonder if Harry does any of this school involvement? He appears to be doing much less generally on the money earning front than her.

TheMeasure · 17/06/2025 11:47

It’s interesting that she thinks that telling everyone how much she loves making up lunch boxes makes her relatable to the rest of us. But as someone said (and, in fact, so did Emma really), most mums hate it as it’s yet another chore on top of the millions of other things we have to cram into our day.

She doesn’t “frivolously spend?” Maybe not her own money. But she sure as hell didn’t mind spending Prince Charles’s and the British taxpayers’. I’m thinking of that engagement gown.

BunnyLake · 17/06/2025 11:01

Maybe it was the Sugars trying to drum up interest.

To be fair H&M can have value as comedy entertainment. Although I don’t engage so much nowadays, they’re a bit like a box set that has gone on for too many seasons and you can’t really be that arsed to wade through season nine when it started to drop off after season six.

what is a "sugar" ?

AtIusvue · 17/06/2025 12:00

I will say Emma did a great job, she cuts through the waffle while always being kind and engaging.
It is a business podcast so wasn’t going to anything too juicy but she did well.

If it had been anyone else I think Meg would be miffed by the directness of the questioning but Emma is the ‘it girl’ in LA business right now, everyone is desperate to work with her, inc Meg. She is obviously very thirsty to work with Emma on something to do with fashion.

Emma, run for hills!

Thedom · 17/06/2025 12:03

I also think Emma is very authentic which emphasised just how inauthentic Meghan Markle. Meghan has absolutely no business acumen and it is very clear how out of her depth she is.

2024onwardsandup · 17/06/2025 12:08

I’m just listening now - Emma is asking genuine questions about how the business works and Meg’s is just coming back with absolute word salad. I I’d laugh at her horror when Emma admitted that she’d failed loads of times!

Why does she turn everything back to her? It's exactly the opposite of how the Royal family work.

You know how singers have a name for their fan base (Swifties etc), it was the name given to H&M’s (mostly M’s I suspect) dedicated fanbase. No idea why they are called that but they seem to be considered one of the most toxic and nasty fanbases around.

Sugars is a very American word I think? I am not sure if it means a liker or disliker of Meghan. .
I used to see the Where's Meghan threads when she was quiet, written by those who weren't getting their dose of Meghan activity to criticise and pull apart in great detail. Some habits are hard to break maybe 🤣

Punctuation

It’s quite funny (and revealing) how every single time she manages to do this, no matter what the situation or the question. She really is the personification of the quote “Well that’s enough about me, let’s talk about you, what do you think about me?” 🙄

She’s so wishy washy, what does that even mean? Fair enough if she said “investing in myself - it cost me $20k to do that MBA but it’s really been worth it”. Nothing she says makes any sense 🤷‍♀️
