No, I don't, OP.
I'm interested in H & M because I'm interested in history. (Stay with me here for a minute.....you did ask the question, and I'm doing you the courtesy of answering it
I've always been fascinated by British history in particular, and constitutional history. The unique UK system of govt has evolved over centuries and we've never had the type of traumatic and bloody revolution which France and Russia had. Why not? The Civil War and the Glorious Revolution, in which it was established finally that parliament was sovereign, were the best we could manage - thank goodness.
I'm interested in anything which affects our system of govt, large and small. The monarchy survived the First World War (unlike the empires of Germany and Russia, amongst others) and adapted. The abdication crisis of 1936 was a wobbly moment. And recently, the shenanigans of two very shallow, dim and ill-informed people has the power to do so again, as we've seen.
That's the root of my interest. The fact that a 3rd-rate cable actress and one of the dimmest royals have formed an unholy alliance with the (almost) declared aim of destablising the UK monarchy is extremely sensational and interesting to me. I think Harry is so bitter and has been so brainwashed, and that Meghan has her own agenda but both would like to see the end of the monarchy. Meghan is consumed with jealousy about Catherine and Harry about William, and they seem to be forever seeking publicity for their antics.
It's not great to have the UK system rubbished on a global stage. If we ever become a republic, it should be based on better reasons than the petty jealousies of two annoying people. I wish they'd go off and live the private lives they claimed to be so desperate for.
That's why I follow their activities. You can choose to believe me or not!
