Harry's new interview 2

I just thought I would start second thread since I noticed the first one is full. It has certainly dominated media reporting. I saw a snippet on Sky news earlier. A document from Harry saying its a dereliction of duty to stop his security. Erm who just whizzed off to the USA and left all the duties behind. I havent watched the whole interview. I wonder if he'll appeal again.

Ditto, @Weepixie.

The stuff he wrote in his book is from the horse’s mouth, other stories less certain, though out there.

What I did think is that she gambled successfully on him being the sort of man who is turned on by shall we say enthusiastic behaviour without being ultimately repelled by it. Because the hotel room story could have easily gone another way.

She played ‘The Rules’ to a tee. Clever. Cutting short the first date as had another very important meeting, ‘always leave them wanting more’…Not giving away the goods too soon & then, a vixen in sack yet inexperienced…Etc.

I saw this posted earlier, it's a blog from 2023 from an ex police officer about how special protection works, it explains a bit about the protection of the Royal Family vs VIPs, Ravec etc (he predicted Harry would lose his case),

Prince Harry & The Magic Carpet
Why the Duke of Sussex craves the Met's protection

Edited to add, its really interesting and not much to do with Harry at all.

Pamela Anderson, whom MM has been copying in "With Love", was there. Still with no makeup on (another copy) and looking absolutely fantastic!

I love that Pamela is so happy these days and sticking it to Hollywood. She is every bit as fabulous without the bs, make up or a man. She doesnt bitch at other women and really is a role model for independent women now.

Pamela really is lovely!
so authentic and beautiful in her own skin.

@Ohpleeeease I know what you’re referring to but it never struck me as being true, probably because it was an awful thing for him to say, and I don’t want to believe he said it.

It also shows how immature he is to have said something so crass to his friends, boasting how lucky he is and they are thinking something completely different.

Interesting timeline now there is more discussion around Meghan and her obsession with Diana.

Harry recounts in Spare how Meghan flew to London to meet him on the day of the anniversary of the death of his late mother, Princess Diana.

The couple were nearly two months into their relationship, having been on their romantic trip to Botswana.

He reveals in the book how she texted him that she had made it into the UK while he was laying flowers on his mother's grave at Althorp with the Prince of Wales.

Harry drove back to London with William and met Meghan later that day.

He says in the book that she had told him to take a secret way to the hotel and a freight lift, where he met a friend of hers named Vanessa who led him to her hotel door.

Meghan soon opened the door, her arms reaching for Harry, he recalled.
'She pulled me inside and thanked her friend in one fluid motion, then slammed the door quickly before anyone saw,' he writes.

The royal reveals he and Meghan spent the night at one of the Soho House branches on the day of the anniversary of Princess Diana's death, and recalls waiting 'breathlessly' outside her room until she opened the door and 'pulled me inside'.

Hinting the passionate clinch that followed their reunion, he wrote: 'I want to say we hung a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. But I don't think there was time.'

M's Diana and royal obsession rather runs through Spare and H highlights this without meaning to.

Christmas Eve, Meg gifts H a Christmas decoration of the Queen 'I held it up to the light it was Granny's face to a T' [This feels like the Windsor spoof..erm..].

Anyway, they hung it on an eye level branch and as Archie got a bit restless and nudged the tree 'Granny fell'. Archie apparently thought spraying water on the broken dec would fix it. 'No Archie do not spray Gan, Gan' says M. The royal refs there all the time, and haunted Xmas decs almost, so much feels just down right eerie and coincidental to H. He keeps feeling and seeing all these signs!

Rather more subtly, young Archie develops an obsession with a painting in Tyler Perry's hall. It looks like a Roman scene, not the sort of picture a toddler might pick out you'd think, but wait...

H tells us that M spots the small print all of a sudden and guess what? It says...'Goddess of the hunt, DIANA' another sign thinks H! M has noticed something else that surely must point to the hand of Diana! Chills, for both of them and for Tyler Perry! If only Alfred Hitchcock were alive and in his heyday!

These are the less obvious signs of course, we have the curious case of singing seals and the channelling of Diana at the her grave. It's actually genuinely rather sad.

That's a bit weird. Seems to conflate grief and mother with hot sex.

It's all just too queasy 🤮

(who could blame her, Harry is not a looker by any means)

That struck me especially as she prefaced her comment about his looks with "in case you hadn't noticed...".
Amal Clooney, AFAIK, has never felt it necessary to point out that George is "very, very handsome" but, then, you couldn't fail to notice George Clooney's looks.

Agree and let's be honest one of the most attractive features of a man is their demeanour, their personality and yes a sense of humour - Harry doesn't display this. He displays as he has aged a mean spiteful and awkward sense of humour on the rare occasions he does so. Normally he just looks miserable.

Loads of beautiful places in California, and other parts of the USA. And any other country you choose to name!

That doesn't mean you can't love and appreciate where you are from.

When I came back after a couple of decades living in some incredibly beautiful parts of the world the UK felt like home in a way those other parts of the world didn't. And I came back with an even greater appreciation of all sorts of things here, particular landscapes, terraced brick houses, the smell of newly mown grass...

Of course, other people leave and prefer their new environment. But I can understand why someone would miss the UK.

Wherever you are living, if you don't have friends or family in your life it is going to be a pretty bleak existence. I suspect Meghan spends a lot of time locked up obsessing about stuff online and trying to think of ways to make herself richer and more famous, whilst he sits by the pool alone brooding. If Lilli isn't in nursery she will be off with a nanny most probably. Paradise isn't paradise if you are lonely and have no purpose in life.

Could he be here? He's published that he's away for Archie's birthday. Maybe the Las Vegas (?) thing was a red herring? You know, to fool all those terrorists after his head.

Treeleaf11 · 06/05/2025 17:34

What is he supposed to be doing in Las Vegas that was more important than his sons birthday? For a man without a job he doesn't spend much time with his kids. Nannies and full time nursery for a 3 yr old seems a bit much if you aren't working.

Undergraduate degrees from American universities aren't worth very much, pretty much the equivalent of UK A levels. The system is designed so those who want the really top jobs have to keep paying for graduate qualifications. (This was first told to me by a group of doctoral students at Princeton.)

That’s laughable. Undergraduate degrees are worth the same in America as they are in the UK. It’s not the same as A-levels. They are especially valuable if they come from a top university and the uni MM went too is very good.

He's speaking at ServiceNow's Knowledge 2025 conference. Something to do with the Diana Award.
ETA, I don't know why they need Nannys when neither of them work. Us mere mortals manage to juggle work and childcare without nannys . Granted we probably use nurseries but still manage to get the children there ourselves.

QueenOfHertz · 06/05/2025 18:13

They had the birthday party for Archie last weekend and Meghan had thanked everyone for coming. It’s on her IG is this hasn’t been posted on this thread already.

QueenOfHertz · 06/05/2025 18:18

And it’s a colour pic!

TheMeasure · 06/05/2025 18:19

Meghan has been talking about “the school run” (certainly with regard to Archie) for a few years now. Official school in the US starts later than the UK. It irritates me when people over-egg the school thing when their kids are still in daycare/ nursery. Plenty of time for school anecdotes later on.

If Archie their son is their sun, what rhyme will M choose for Lilibet?

Lilibet, our daughter, our water/mortar/deporter/cavorter/extorter/aorta?
