Best advice for Harry going forward?

I have all the same initial reactions as many others on MN regarding Harry i.e. whiner, grifter, stupid, entitled etc and it's easy to dole out the criticism.

However while I wouldn't say I have sympathy for him, as so much of his situation is of his own making, I actually do have some underlying feelings of concern for him and his future (and children).

He reminds me an awful lot of a relative of mine who is neurodiverse with a mild learning disability and a tendency to be self-absorbed with an overdeveloped victim complex - always lashing out, blaming others, seeing conspiracy where there is none etc.

Harry is clearly a damaged man, with childhood trauma and issues which continue to plague his mental health.
As with my relative, he has grown up with a support network which has probably quietly managed and enabled his passage through life, but when big outbursts happen (as have happened in our family too) everyone backs off and 'grey rocks' him until he has calmed down. Some people just give up, too exhausted by the constant drama of it all.

They are truly the gift that keeps on giving, the latest self centred polemic (where Doria?) and soft lad going around knocking on half of London while of course in fear of his life.

The hat with the shared intimate notes.....

No. It's really very odd, but quite typical.

I’m guessing her experiences of being mothered herself were not all that normal. I think her mother left her to be brought up by her dad quite young. I don’t get the impression that Doria enjoyed motherhood much . She was very young and in an unhappy marriage when Meghan was a young g child.

StartupRepair · 11/05/2025 21:43

I suspect the map of Africa is a counter to the truly awful report from African Parks and clusterfuck of Sentebale. See how much H loves Africa? He has it inside his hat.

I don’t think his family want him. He would also lose access to his kids. Meghan would play on the ‘they’re not safe in the UK’ angle.

Edited

She believed them safe when she took them to the UK for the Jubilee where she had a 'back yard party' and issued photos for Lili's first birthday.

It was also safe enough for her and Harry to be very prominent and public on the steps of St Pauls, to wind down her car window to wave at the public and to be very visible from a window on The Mall. Then a couple of months later it was safe for her to return to the UK with PH deliver a public speech at The One Young World Conference in Manchester.

We haven't seen Doria and MM together since the 'catastrophic car chase' last summer. She featured very briefly in the last episode of WLM (but that was filmed before the CCC). I wonder if there has been a falling out? Did Doria step on MM toes by attending a Kardashian event solo without MM?

TheMVPSTurningmyheartbeatup · 11/05/2025 22:33

To shoosh and live the private life.

She appeared in the food programme briefly. I don’t know what all the initial s stand for, but the food programme was filmed fairly recently wasn’t it?

The 'near-catastrophic car chase' reminds me that among the best advice I have for Harry is WEAR A SEATBELT.

No the food programme WLM was filmed spring 2024 - before the 'CCC' and Doria solo Kardasian outing - not seen them in each others company since.

Couldn't she have brushed her hair?

Doria was in one of MM's recent instagram releases. Being forced to try some banana dessert thing. She was a bit snappy.

Indeed, especially since his mother died because she wasn’t wearing one.

The CCC and the Kardashian picture were from Spring 2023. Doria attended an art exhibition with H&M/Beyonce's mum in April 2024. WLM was filmed around May 2024.

I’ve also suspected a falling out but I think it’s more likely that Doria has told Meghan and Harry just what her role in their life will be and it doesn’t include the likes of publicising how they celebrate Mothers Day. She’s put her boundaries up and they not to cross her.

Yes, she was a bit snappy, and I can imagine a mum saying okay I’ll do it for you this time but remember what I’ve said.

Ah, you are right. Hugging is her power tool, meted out to all and sundry to break down their personal boundaries and to assert her dominance - and make them feel special if they are easily taken in. Those who aren't are called stuck up, frigid and a bit too British.

I actually find the pictures of her hugging people quite disconcerting. On a number of occasions its made me think of Norman Bates or Jimmy Saville. Obviously I'm not trying to imply that Meghan is anything like either of them, that would be absurd. But I think its the stark juxtaposition of how they present themselves vs the darker reality that lurks behind the dead eyes. Kind of like a shark also, all flashing teeth and merciless, calculating eyes.

I really, really hesitate to make cruel remarks about people's physical appearance...honestly. But in view of the vile things said about William by the SS, I have to say that poor Harry is not ageing well. It's not just the hair-loss - I don't find that a reason to consider someone unattractive. It's the pudgy, not very healthy, exhausted and pasty look he's developed. It doesn't speak of a happy person living their best life.

If I'm going to be unkind, I'd say that, hair or no hair, William has lucked out with the bone-structure (Diana? Prince Philip?) and despite losing his thatch, still looks dashing. Harry, I think, looks like the less attractive Windsors (eye close together) but has the florid Spencer colouring and red hair. His bone structure seems to have disappeared under saggy jowls.

I'm sorry - I don't mean to descend to the level of Celebitchy. But yes, Harry's appearance is not improving and I'm sure it's a sign of something deeper.

Philip had the close together eyes, and he was lovely looking. Who knows how nice he was really but he certainly had more brains than Harry (not that that necessarily says much) and was vastly better looking. More astute, dignified and discerning too, come to think of it.

It must be harrowing to have been so publically vindictive over your brothers hair loss only to be then losing your own for all the world to see. The frantic, pathetic hair transplant efforts are both excruciating and satisfying to witness.

I doubt he even knows how bald he has become!
he still has fuzz at the front, men tend to focus on the obvious, and most of his pictures are obligingly photoshopped to give him more hair!

HonoriaBulstrode · 12/05/2025 15:14

And kept his looks well into old age. And he had a wide range of interests that he was well-informed about.

The frantic, pathetic hair transplant efforts are both excruciating and satisfying to witness.

Harry's hair, or lack of it, looks awful from the back. He'd have done much better to do as William has, and just embrace the baldness.

(I was half-watching some of the VE Day events on i-Player yesterday. The commentator said 'the Duke of Edinburgh' and I still expected to see Philip when I looked at the screen.)

If this was to promote WLM it may well have been filmed alongside WLM - so could have been this time last year. I wonder if Doria had other relationships after Thomas, she was young and very attractive (still is) and if these men featured in MM childhood. She seems to have very different values to her daughter as in training to be a social worker and working as a youg instructor. I get the impression she is very grounded, mindful and a bit of a hippy - sort of a contrast to MM ruthless ambition?

I have criticisms of Harry but losing his hair isn't one of them. My own dear husband is , shall we say , follically challenged. As is Michael Kitchen of Foyle's War fame & I think he's attractive. I think H does look scruffy at times , but if that's what he likes and M does , his looks are the least thing I would say against him. I do think his eyes are a bit close together and I wonder if that leads to the resting Prince face he has - ie he is not always so pissed off as he looks.

Apparently HLMTQ used to refer to her "piggy face" when she wasn't smiling. I'm not photogenic so I am the last one to criticise anyone in a photograph. IRL I don't scare the horses 😂(well, thus far)
