Harry's new interview

Harry has just given an interview quite a long one. I only heard a snippet and i'm totally incensed. Harry has said he doesn't know how long Charles has left. Who says that on TV for the whole nation to hear. What is the matter with the man. He is an absolute disgrace.

Just seen bits of the interview again. The lack of fact-checking, the lack of challenging Harry's assertions, the softball questions - it's all so annoying. Why conduct a celebrity interview when this is a political story?

Harry is a better person than any of the royals. He's only talking about his lived experience with the most chaotic family in the UK.

'lived experience'

You lost me with that awful phrase.

You mean 'experience'.

The chaos is mostly caused by him!

Left · 02/05/2025 21:40

Wow he’s really not very bright and is completely unable to see things from other people’s viewpoints.

He’s also got no negotiating or conflict resolution skills.

What a mess. I can’t see him managing an effective solution, just expect to see more fuckwittery and failed ventures.

😂

DD is adopted. You have no idea about how dysfunctional families can be. Small children left alone for days. Inadequate food, nappies not changed, parents too drunk or high to provide any sort of care. Children getting themselves up to go to school in unwashed clothes, because at least at school someone will care about them and give them food.

'The most chaotic family in the UK'. No, not by a long, long, long shot

Well said, it's disgusting what some will come out with to excuse Harry's behaviour, my niece got told by her own mother that she wished it was her that had died and not her brother, some people have no clue.

Harry can't stop himself from triangulating.
And now he's using the BBC as indirect Flying Monkeys in order to send a message to his father.

This is the third person in only a few years that he seems very keen on centering himself in their end of life.
He'd be a cunt if he was half as warm and had even a twentieth of one's use.

It's like the Bad Fairy turns up at every funeral.

William will soon be Regent, and probably king before 2025 is over.

How do you know this?

Jane958 · 02/05/2025 21:42

Interestingly nothing about the Coronation.
Funerals and court cases only.
So sad, as 10 years ago with Invictus he was really popular and a fun guy.
Cannot think what has happened to him in the intervening years.

And how old were Harry and Meghan when they chose to walk away from the UK despite knowing they would no longer be IPPs?

His ‘beloved Camilla’ was at that time married. He married Diana while still with his other woman.

Serenster · 02/05/2025 21:44

He married Diana while still with his other woman.

Can you provide a source for that?

IBelieveinSomething · 02/05/2025 21:45

There are obviously ways of being. Ways of behaving. Ways of respect. But they do not apply to him.

I don't believe they were ever IPPs.

Spaceracer10 · 02/05/2025 21:46

I honestly think it’s time that Harry just accepts what he already knows. His Dad never really appeared to care for anyone except Camilla.

Harry has a nice family and a good life in California. It must be so hard but I think his best bet now is to be thankful for what he has and for escaping his crazy family and the awful British tabloids. He might not see it but I think he’s lucky to be out of it.

PotolKimchi · 02/05/2025 21:47

@Helloworlditsmeagain but if his lived experience of his family is so terrible and they are so corrupt, why is he desperate for this reconciliation? Why would he want his children to know these terrible people who hate him and his wife, are conspiring against him and would like harm to come to his children? Does that make him a good parent exposing his children to this toxicity? In fact going to great lengths to ensure that they can be exposed to this seemingly toxic environment?

And if it’s not the family that is terrible but the establishment- the RF, the govt, the Met Police and the judiciary are all colluding against him, then why does he want this same establishment to protect him? Surely if they are this corrupt then they can’t be trusted anyway.

If his lived experience is correct then he should stay well away. Why has spent over a million trying to gain access into the inner sanctum of this deeply corrupt establishment and family (which is how he has characterised them…)?

His Brother did not attack King Charlles wife in a stupid book though did he.

It is absolutely insane that you think that this is worse than what Andrew did.

TaupeMember · 02/05/2025 21:48

TasWair · 02/05/2025 17:53

It really is not a shocking thing to say about an elderly man. The context is that Charles isn't talking to him, and that Harry wants to make amends because life is short.
I can't envisage any situation where I wouldn't talk to my children tbh, even if I didn't approve of the way they live or of their spouse. It must be absolutely awful for Harry that his father won't speak to him, but seems to have forgiven the horrific transgressions of his brother, Andrew.

I'm so sick of andrew being brought up in the context of H&M.

They are being judged on their own actions and words, not others.

As if I'd be expected to be compared to anything my uncle did, or vice versa.

Completely different people. Ridiculous.

She was also an adult. With a dysfunctional family who didn't challenge the relationship or give her any effective support, sadly.

She accepted his proposal after a bare minimum of dates. She wanted to be loved after a horrendous childhood, but she also wanted the status.

She wasn't a saint, she had numerous affairs. She had a lot of good qualities too. She made a difference to people with AIDS by holding hands, she took on the cause against land mines.

She was a genuine, but flawed as we all are, individual.

User57713 · 02/05/2025 21:50

I feel for Harry because I don't think he's had a proper parent in his entire life. His father had no idea how to be a proper parent and by the time he seemed to have got his act together a bit it was tok late. I wonder how his own kids will turn out. What a shitshow.

Mickeychampionwhatgoodami · 02/05/2025 21:50

Maddy70 · 02/05/2025 18:00

Eh. Charles is an elderly man. An entirely understandable thing to say about someone of that age

Perhaps not to the world's press.
He just doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

sualipa · 02/05/2025 21:51

wrinklyoldarms · 02/05/2025 21:38

Charles is a good, caring man.

If by revolting behaviour you mean Camilla, the fault was he was forced to choose a virgin bride and to 'get a move on' and he was too weak then to stand up to his parents.

Oh it was QE2 and Philip's fault then ! He should have had Harry's guts to fight his own corner.

Because he is human. We all need connection to our actual human family. No matter how horrific they are. It is extremely upsetting not to be. But i agree that he needs to move on. Too much damage was done by them and by him. His lack of emotional intelligence and actual intelligence has stood against him. But, as any normal person does, he will need them.

Highfivemum · 02/05/2025 21:51

How can anyone from his family start a relationship with him. You cannot trust that anything you say will not be written about in a book or a ln interview. He is the most self centred person who thinks everybody else is wrong. Yet again he mentions he Dad. His Dad has cancer yet it is all about him .
I used to like him but he is a privileged ,stuck up cry baby who needs to realise the world does not own him a living

And yet William seems to have turned out fairly sensible?
