Favourite Royal outfits

Would anyone like to join me in my attempt to unite the board and discuss our favourite royal outfits (before it enviably turns into another bun fight 🤣)

I’ll start with my favourite Catherine outfits first…

I saw her dress in an exhibition. It was lovely and very of the time.

@NewAgeNewMe you obviously have good taste. I liked both Meghan's dresses except for the fit.

Catherine and Charlene got married around the same time. I wonder if it was a fashion statement of the time to go for a bullet bra silhouette? I like both Charlene and Catherine’s dresses but appreciate it’s a personal opinion 🥰

I like both the dresses but think that one little details would have made them perfect, well in my eyes

I really dislike what Kate’s wearing today. A horrible coloured trouser suit with an Austin Powers shirt. It’s doing nothing for her.

Honestly it’s not often I detest an outfit that she wears but I have the exact same criticisms as yourself. Awful outfit!

Apparently the suit is a Victoria Beckham design and the colour is described as ‘willow’ 🤣🤭

I hate the blouse but don't actually mind the trouser suit. It's a Victoria Beckham one at £1,400
I have a green trouser suit 😊 but it's more emerald green as opposed to olive green

I can only imagine what an ordinary mortal would look like in it, if Kate makes it look bad.

It’s an…interesting colour…that’s for sure. I bet an emerald green suit would look amazing (and I’m sure it looks amazing on you). The blouse is just vile though. I suppose the suit could look okay if it were styled properly 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m hiding out here for a bit, some of the other threads have got a bit mad (and I’m afraid I’ve gone a bit mad too 😳)

I like the suit , not so keen on the blouse, I would wear it (if I had the money!) with a crew neck t shirt or fine knit jumper.

I'm not a fan of this trouser suit either. I dislike the colour and the pockets on the jacket and on the trousers. I guess she wanted to ramp it up a bit for the event fashion wise . Hate the trailing trousers on the ground on her as much as I do on VB and MM.

I wonder if the blouse might look a bit better without a jacket.

I’ve seen a photo of her walking and you can see her shoes. I really like the colour. Was looking in M&S today for a similar colour pair of trousers I’ve seen online. Of course, you can’t order from them online at the moment and they were nowhere to be found in the store 😡😆

Yeah, I think a ruffled blouse with a full suit wanders into Austin Powers territory as another poster suggested.

I came on as I just saw it. I like the colour, can’t see the shirt. As usual fit looks great.

And you expect to see goofy teeth and thick rimmed glasses with a blouse like that!

Being a VB piece, it was always going to be hugely long, as that's what VB does, and maybe that blouse is the new fashion?

I don't think it's an outfit we'll see her in again but VB must be delighted!

My opinion of it keeps changing depending on the photo. I don’t mind it on the one where she’s on her own, despise it in the other photo. I think it’s to do with the sun changing the colour/tone of the suit and the fact that the sun in blurring out the ruffles. In short, I hate the ruffles and think it looks nicer in a mossy colour rather than olive. As someone said above an emerald green would have looked divine.

Incidentally I thought green was always a colour that looked stunning on Meghan. I think this suit would have looked on her with a shirt or v neck blouse.

I like the suit ! , colour wouldn’t be my first choice but on her it’s ok , if she swapped the absolutely awful blouse for a black v neck t shirt I think it would look really quite good.

Yes every picture I see the suit looks a slightly different colour.

I think first picture you posted it’s a darker green which is nicer than in the second picture.

Ooh no, Jeff, not a v-neck with that blazer. Two v’s together don’t work on Kate. She’s too slim in the chest department 😆😆

I really like the colour, think it's quite versatile, it would go with lots of other colours.
