The York daughters are hardly out of the royal fold. They go to royal garden parties, sit in the royal carriage parade at Ascot, receptions, church services the royals attend. They then post about it on IG.

They have no official status. They are not on the balcony and no longer on carriage rides. That has gone. They were not at the VE Day celebrations, for example.
They turn up at events which are low code. They take the side of their father, so can't be trusted. Also because of their friendship with H&M. William is understandably cautious.

Mylovelygreendress · 17/05/2025 12:50

Other papers also carried the story

Harry really didn't know that the Yorks were friendly with Piers Morgan? Surprising.

Of course he knew!!!
he just didn’t want it publicly pointed out to everyone else!

Exactly. This "ballistic" thing is either just nonsense or part of Harry's.... selective memory, shall we say.

I do know they don't have official status! I am just saying they are not out in the cold, and we see them fairly frequently.

And they were in the Ascot royal carriage procession with their husbands just last year! Hardly low profile. And no doubt will be there again this year.

They are cousins, so I suppose attending various social events is ok. However, their continuing support of both their parents, and their friendship with the Sussexes obviously puts them outside of the fold, and understandably not to be trusted. I suspect they can't pass information from Ascot unless it's about Camilla's outfit.

TulipTiptoer · 17/05/2025 13:53

We know they obviously support their parents, but we have no idea on the nature of the friendship with harry and Meghan. We can only guess or speculate

No, we know that they socialise, and H&M have holidayed with Eugenie and her husband. They were all in Portugal recently. I've seen social media posts of them at events together in the USA.

Lazycatsitsonthemat · 17/05/2025 15:27

Apparently Harry is no longer speaking to Eugenie and I don’t think he and Beatrice were ever particularly close.

Perhaps. Who knows with them.

Samcro · 17/05/2025 16:11

So no one is allowed to be close to Harry!! Yet PA is still in the fold and at family events. Says a lot about the RF morals.

Who said no-one is allowed to be close to Harry? He's 40. He can choose his own friends.

Harry cut her off not the other way around of the media are to be believed.

They know which side their bread is buttered. I have no time for them.

Don’t want to start a thread so will derail this one.
saw PW on country file, he was talking about being made patron of a charity. He came across so well. Really relaxed and friendly.

That's nice, @Samcro . I think he looks after himself. Probably had a bit of a wake up call with various recent events.

I didn't think that the York daughters go to royal garden parties as guests. I thought that they are used as working royals just on a few occasions, like a garden party, where quite a lot of royals are needed to mingle and chat to the guests.
Isn't that how it is? Do they just sit about eating cress sandwiches?

TulipTiptoer · 18/05/2025 21:43

No, they obviously don't go as guests, I didn't say that! Someone said they are out of the royal fold, obviously not if they are performing a royal duty at a garden party

That's the very most they do. Mingle with guests.. I've not even seen that for a while. It's something of an exaggeration to think they have any key role.

I haven't seen anyone on this thread suggesting that they have a key role.

No. They don't have a key role, I didn't say that or think that either! Not sure who is exaggerating?

I have only said in reply to a poster they are not out in the cold.. They attended the royal garden party May last year, pics were everywhere, and were in the royal carriage procession at Ascot June last year.

No, but there's an implication - incorrect - that they are still part of the main business, and they're not.

TulipTiptoer · 19/05/2025 07:30

Who is implicating that, because I will challenge them on that because it's not true quite clearly
All I have said (repeatedly) is...they are not out in the cold.

They are wheeled out when needed to make numbers up for a garden party, they sit in the royal carriage procession for Ascot (and have done for years), and of course church services, memorials etc. I imagine they've got it just how they want it.

No, they wanted more. They added both Charles and William if they could have official roles and were told no. A carriage ride at Ascot has little impact.
