Program on Sarah Ferguson tonight channel 5 as to where has all the money gone. I’m out now so I hope I remember to record it when I get home.

Thanks for that. How she gets away with so much is mystifying. Grifter.

NewAgeNewMe · 10/05/2025 10:43

indeed
will double check I’m not wrong about it tonight but I remember seeing it last night when scrolling but forgot to set it.

NewAgeNewMe · 10/05/2025 11:00

Thanks for heads up on those programmes.

Looks like the SF one is a follow up to the one on Andrew also titled 'Where did the money go?'

Channel 5 do some sterling work on the royals. List of their royal documentaries for anyone interested:

I love the ones they do about royal residence. I saw one about Sandringham and another about Gatcombe park, they were really good.

Watched the Sarah one last week and the Andrew one last night. Murky. Murky. Murky. What it seemed to suggest is that Sarah supports Andrew not the other way around.

edit: financially I mean.

I've just watched..."Sarah - where has all the money gone?"

Horrifying! I always knew she was a spendthrift but I had forgotten so much from the past... Like travelling over to New York and bringing back 53 pieces of luggage after spending hundreds of thousands on clothes, the best European chefs cooking for her and her throwing the food away, £300 bottles of champagne one glass drunk from them, the company she set up with huge debts on it, she was the most extravagant royal in modern times.

Interesting that the York daughters bought her the £5million London townhouse and Sarah rents it out for £16,000 a month. I don't know why her and Andrew just don't sod off and live there

NewAgeNewMe · 17/05/2025 07:06

So much and all gone.

Also 'interesting' that Andrew somehow found the money to fund him staying in his 30 room mansion, and the girls are somehow 'ambassadors' for something or other they have no experience or qualification for in the Middle East. We know what their parents were up to with their bevvy of shady friends bailing them out.The Royals turning a blind eye again to these two. Potentially a scandal to come in 30 years. Yet... 'Look over there!' seems to be their tactic yet again.

It's awful. I think those York sisters are very much involved, and the whole York family just look like greedy opportunists, shady and entitled.
Imagine Beatrice and Eugenie going to Charles and then William to get some sort of official role back for their father, then official royal roles for themselves. Fortunately they were told no, but they turn up at every opportunity in order to be royal - proximal.

As neither of them are working members of the RF, any embarrassment in 30 years time will land, hopefully, at their own front doors and only merit a postscript in the media.

Tomatotater · 17/05/2025 08:57

They aren't working Royals, but they will probably by that time be cousins of the King. They are also very much in the family fold ( as are their parents).

They won't ever be working royals, no matter how hard they lobby. It's just too toxic. Going to church on Easter Sunday and Christmas seems to be the limit for the family, which is fine.
The daughters turn up at the opening of an envelope, though.

Samcro · 17/05/2025 09:12

hopefully they will never be working royals. but who knows. KC doesn't seem that bothered by what they do.

There's also another factor in this issue, which will prevent any of the York family having any official role in the future: the Yorks' close friendship with the Sussexes. Remember Fergie was not invited to W&C's wedding, much to her chagrin, but was front and centre at H&M's. Meghan said that she knew Eugenie before she knew Harry and was certainly friendly with the family, it was Fergie who taught her how to curtsey, and we know that Eugenie has maintained a close friendship. In all the pungent gossip H&M have shared about the RF, Fergie, and Andrew remain fragrant.
Interesting.

ARichtGoodDram · 17/05/2025 11:36

I think the murkiness of Sarah's finances is a strong reason why they'll quietly remarry at some point (if they haven't already).

Royal wills are sealed generally. The public never get to see them.

They'll not want the minutiae of hers public

ThePoshUns · 17/05/2025 11:38

That is interesting @MadeInGrimsby I hadn’t realised that before now

Interesting.

I don’t think they are close to H and M now. Apparently H was furious that they socialised with Piers Morgan. PM himself said that Harry had berated Eugenie.

Harry knows full well that the York family is friendly with Piers Morgan. He and his wife often socialised with the Yorks, just as often as H&M did at Royal Lodge. Harry and Meghan have quite a long term friendship with the Yorks and never, ever criticise them in any book/interview/magazine article or whatever.
Their choice. However, it means that KC, and certainly William, will not trust any of the Yorks because of this, never mind other issues.

Birds of a feather perhaps, @madeingrimsby?

For a pair with no judgement at all I can quite see that another such pair - plus daughters - might be considered a contact worth keeping green, and Andrew in particular may well remain a useful source of info

TulipTiptoer · 17/05/2025 12:31

Of course Royal Wills are sealed, we don't want it getting out about any illegitimate children or gifts to mistresses, do we...

This was first started over a century ago when the brother of King George V's wife had his Will sealed. Apparently he had a number of mistresses, was a gambler and bequeathed a priceless family heirloom, a diamond and emerald tiara to one of his paramours. The King persuaded a Judge to seal his Will and now they all do it! Nothing like forcing a Judge to do something that might shock the public, thereby creating a precedent.

You could be right! I think Andrew (shudder) is a case on his own, as we all agree on this thread, but various people are certainly adjacent. To put the kindest spin on it, the Yorks are out of the royal fold, although obviously have some contact. Perhaps H&M remain friendly with the family for those reasons. It may prove useful in future.

TulipTiptoer · 17/05/2025 12:46

The York daughters are hardly out of the royal fold. They go to royal garden parties, sit in the royal carriage parade at Ascot, receptions, church services the royals attend. They then post about it on IG.
