I unreservedly apologise to little greendress if I have upset her. Not my intention at all.

I have nursed someone through cancer to the very end so I am not without knowledge of the dreadful disease. There is also more I could say here but I want to keep some privacy for the other person in my life

Well you started it.... What does it have to do with Charles anyway? Why bring him into it? I'm making the reasonable assumption that their cancers are different and so is their treatment. Charles has worked though his, Kate was unable to.

While you are undoubtedly "entitled to an opinion" which you frequently express, you can expect to be called on it if it's nasty!

You didn't learn much from your experience did you, or you wouldn't have come out with a statement like that! I have been through similar, though there was no recovery unfortunately, but you don't need to be a genius to figure out that the effects of treatment can be long-lasting!

I'm not sure why you are struggling with the concept that even a holiday, particularly an active one like skiing, might leave the PoW exhausted, particularly with three children in tow!

It's not unpleasant at all - it's a factual statement based on your own comments you have made. And you have a go at my post? I hope you are ok @Mylovelygreendress. I think I am right in saying that several of the posters here have been through cancer, and in any case, I think everyone should be sensitive because you don't know what other people have suffered!!
