Watching the news about the horrendous rubbish problem in Birmingham, this was followed by Kates film clip rambling about Windermere saying we need to connect with nature and couldn’t help thinking it was inappropriate.I bet cancer sufferers in Birmingham would love to do this instead of holding down a job worrying about col doing chores that I bet she never does and have stinking rubbish with rats in the streets. I have no problem with her video but thought the timing was so off. They sometimes need to read the room.

I mean your posts have been deleted so I suggest it is you who has been posting negative and toxic comments about other people 🤷🏼‍♀️

Seriously, relax and enjoy an Easter treat. Make yourself a Meghan crepe is that’s more of your jam 🥰

Spectra has a point.

by the way the only good scone is a warm cheese one.

Does that make it like a cheese on toast scone? Cheese on scone? Mind blown 😵‍💫

Can you put jam and clotted cream on a hot cross bun like you can with a scone? Asking for a friend…

You could but the texture of a hot cross bun is different to a scone , you would have to toast it first.

I have just polished off a toasted hot cross bun with butter and raspberry jam. I think a dollop of clotted cream would work😋

To be fair a dollop of clotted cream goes down well on anything! 😋🤣

🤣🤣🤣 I know!!! I ran out of scones once and had to resort to a spoon! 😳

I think the spices and the jam would clash and bread and thick cream perhaps not. I believe jam/clotted cream need a more neutral basis, as is provided by a scone, lightly fruited or otherwise.

There needs to be butter under the jam to stop it sinking in though, unless you prefer the Other Method.

RandyRedHumpback · 19/04/2025 18:48

I had a traditional hot cross bun this morning with a dollop of thick, Greek yoghurt and fresh strawberries and blueberries. Go on. Shoot me.

Not it’s the Gorgeous shop in a wee street between Market St and South street .
I do like a F & D coffee tower !

Thank you. I will investigate on my next visit.

Aye, and they left 150 diehards - who have probably waited for hours—just wanting to revel in this supposed magic fairy dust—literally waiting at the church. Of course, their needs come first - that 15 minutes probably matter to them more. When people show you who they are, believe them.

That said, some weirdo in a Union Jack coat, wearing a hat plastered with pictures of various royals and clutching a bunch of petrol station flowers... yeah, that creeps me out too. So I suppose I can’t entirely blame them for that.

It must be gutting for some to know that the Sandringham estate was hosting an Easter egg hunt and other activities in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

vera99 · 21/04/2025 20:33

QE2 famously and aptly said "we need to be seen to be believed". Quite. Not that I beleived in that 2 bar electric fire trope - but many did and that's the point.

I had expressed my own 'concerns' previously!
That said, they’re up and about, the weather is good, and a crowd of well-wishers (along with the ever-compliant media) has gathered.
What harm would a quick walkabout have done?
And more to the point—what benefits might it have brought? At Aston Villa freshly minted scarves were brought out and flashed to the media - why not now ?

Serenster · 21/04/2025 21:15

Without adequate security being there to manage a crowd of that size? That’s not too difficult to guess, surely? When the royals attend that church at Christmas, the crowd are cordoned off and there are loads of police attending.

If there's a Will there's a way ! This has the smack of last minute decision rather than a plan. Did the malcontents with their online carping force them into Church ? We will probably never know.
