It’s certainly not shared on this thread, but the public does have certain expectations of William. Easter service, which he has attended for decades being one small one. It’s why it’s being reported in the press. Not just by the DM.
Some facts here, in case they are helpful. In the 25 years since 2000, William and then Kate have attended the Easter service at Windsor in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023. That’s it.
They may well have attended Easter services elsewhere - in the year 2000 for example William went to the service in Craithie Kirk with his father. And in 2011, shortly before their wedding, William and Kate went to the Easter service in Bucklebury.
In the same 25 year period, Charles and Camilla have only attended since Charles was monarch - I.e. 2023, 2024 and this year. They normally spend Easter in Scotland, as others have said.
it’s being reported because anything the Wales do is of interest. When the Mail calls it a “major break in tradition” they are therefore wrong, but when has that ever stopped them?
