Americans are VERY hung up on the notion of blue bloodedness. Brits couldn’t give a fuck.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 31/03/2025 21:27

I'd add that the clapping back started the moment M arrived on the scene. Starting with that "leave my girlfriend alone, you racists" (that William was drafted in to support) when she'd only been in the country long enough to snub Piers.
(The drafting-in of others is a feature of the clap-back, too. How in god's name did a smart cookie like GP get dragged into that role?

It really has been going on since day one, I completely forgot William was drafted in. I said in a previous thread that I thought GP had her knuckles wrapped with her obvious sending up of Meghan, drafting in her pal Tracey Anderson probably was a step too far and WME had a word, or maybe Harry had a word with WME first, we know he has form.

glitterturd · 31/03/2025 21:28

You know I'm thinking Piers knows a great deal more about Meghan than he has revealed so far.

potsandmud · 31/03/2025 21:25

Listen GP is as agog to the class system as every other monied yank. Her daughter was a show pony in the billionaire version of the Parisian debutante market. It was gross.

And didn't Paltrow minor get a bit of a roasting for blocking another girl's picture / grand entrance? (I know bog all about deb balls).

Oh that's closer than I have ever been. Also I was minded to look up his height . 5'10. Comfortably taller than me. We no longer have a DVD player because DH and DS keeping up with technology so I am going to make them make me a playlist. What Basilisk wants , Basilisk gets . Rock on. 😎

Having stood next to him and being 5’7, I think there is a bit of an exaggeration going on in his stated height, I’m afraid 😆. 5’9 maybe. But as you say, height isn’t everything

You know I'm thinking Piers knows a great deal more about Meghan than he has revealed so far.

He's quite an entertaining journalist. Insufferably smug and has a tenuous grasp of the truth at times - as well as conveniently shaky recollections. His first diary is a very good read - the later ones are entertaining but they jump the shark.

BemusedAmerican · 31/03/2025 21:31

This is the living one, a female named Mia. The one who died last year would have been less spry.

It looks like she is gazing at a phone or tablet, which is why she is ignoring the dog.

I just saw this today:

https://taxfoundation.org/research/all/federal/trump-tariffs-trade-war/

Prices are going up. Retaliatory tariffs will cause American layoffs. Honestly, they have terrible luck.

Tracking the Economic Impact of the Trump Tariffs

President Trump's 25 percent tariffs on Canada and Mexico is estimated to reduce long-run GDP by 0.2 percent, reduce hours worked by 223,000 full-time equivalent jobs, and reduce after-tax incomes by an average of 0.6 percent—before accounting for fore...

In one of his current legal cases, the RAVEC one, there is a document in which he uses what I'd call an imperious tone.

H requested the name of the person responsible for downgrading his police protection, stating 'I would like that person's name'.

This, and the imperious tone used to address Dr C, is a reflection of Harry's absolute sense of entitlement and of his own importance. He is so steeped in his own privilege that he thinks he can command people to do as he says and that, of course, they will. He really does see people as subjects who should give him, and his wife, the respect he believes to be due to them. And ironically, I would say this is more the case with him than with his brother or father, especially since he became the humourless, pompous prick he is today.
It's the old truth that those who are truly classy and gracious don't think or behave as if they're better than everyone else.

SatinBall · 31/03/2025 21:33

Bruisername · 31/03/2025 21:19

Why is she ignoring the dog!

I think it's symbolic. The dog is Harry.

I really can't believe this nutcase is still posting all this crap while all of this goes on 😂 " don't worry Haz babe a pic of my elevated life will get the heat off you"

Trump is cosying up to Putin, threatening to “have” Greenland, turn Canada into the 51st state and build hotels in razed Gaza, sending Vance out to insult all of Europe, selling Ukraine down the river.

China is about to invade Taiwan.

An earthquake has just taken almost 2000 lives in Thailand and Myanmar.

The most inhumane war rages on the Middle East.

Tariffs affecting, one way or another, the whole of the developed world are about to kick in and make 98% of the world’s population’s life significantly more expensive.

Internal politics in the USA are on an edge not seen since the Cold War.

And this ditzy wannabe is launching a lifestyle brand, showing off photos of her enjoying a life of peaceful, quiet, untrammeled luxury in a mansion in sunny California.

These two haven’t suffered bad timing. Bad shit happens all the time, everywhere. It’s these two who are always seeking public attention - their timing is inevitably going to be bad because they’re always there. It’s like standing in the middle of a 7-lane highway, complaining the risk of death is so high because the cars come so thick and fast. Get off the road and you won’t get hurt.

CathyorClaire · 31/03/2025 21:34

smilesy · 31/03/2025 21:25

Have you seen “That’ll Be The Day”? and “Stardust”. Two films starring David Essex about the rise and fall of a pop star? Very, ahem, stimulating …😆

I have, yes.

The underage rape scene still haunts me 😡

IdaGlossop · 31/03/2025 21:35

CathyorClaire · 31/03/2025 20:38

Can Invictus really go ahead in Birmingham now?

And if it doesn't can we ask for a refund on the £26m (what was that spent on?) bid costs?

Never mind that. Just get those bins emptied.

You know I'm thinking Piers knows a great deal more about Meghan than he has revealed so far.

Well, he is very friendly with the Yorks. He was photographed hugging and kissing Beatrice and Eugenie as they left a restaurant not long ago.

You're right of course, @Rhaidimiddim - hence the statement which KP issued - but I don't think we're supposed to mention William's support

Isn't the narrative supposed to be that he's "jealous" (though never ask me what of) and that it's him who's behind all the negative coverage? Confused

Yes, Harry told NF that him and Meghan were better than Royalling than W&C, and that the bad stories about them just happened to come out admit the jealousy. Couldn’t possible be because they were actually a pair of cunts

CathyorClaire · 31/03/2025 21:37

IdaGlossop · 31/03/2025 21:35

£26m would have gone a long way towards it...

BasiliskStare · 31/03/2025 21:38

@Butteredtoast55 Bizarrely this is the 3rd time I have referenced my dear departed Granny on this thread. Her saying was "Dukes don't swear at Dustmen" Politeness was a big thing with her - to everyone.

Oh thank you all David Essex posters - I have truly met my people.

LemonLeaves · 31/03/2025 21:40

Right I'm off to bed - I'll see you lovely republican monarchist anti-elevation haters in the morning 😆

I wonder if Harry also ‘had a word’ with the First Lady of Nigeria who made a comment about Meghan and then issued a ‘correction’ it all seems to follow the same pattern somehow.

Good point, more than likely there was pressure put on her.

My mum still maintains it’s a “common” channel. She may be on to something

My late mother ( who was known locally as Hyacinth Bucket) only ever watched BBC .

There was also the woman in the wheelchair at invictus who was moved out of the way by Meghan. She said afterwards that Meghan had been helping her or something like that. All sounds very much the same pattern. Very likely that she was asked by the Sussex PR team to say that so Meghan wouldn't look bad, even if it was untrue.

hazelnutvanillalatte · 31/03/2025 21:45

Somethingthecatdraggedin7 · 31/03/2025 08:47

I think Harry is completely unable to accept anything negative about Meghan even in the face of overwhelming evidence from others or even if he sees her bad behaviour with his own eyes.
His total belief in her has become essential to his entire idendity.
To him, she is his opportunity to “save” his mother.
He will defend her to the end of the earth and will always allow himself to be blind to her glaring faults.
We all know that he put her above his brother, father, etc. I even wonder if he will include his children in this second place slot should they dare to criticise their mother when they grow up.
I really think it would break him to accept the reality that MM is not the wonderful, life enhancing, font of all wisdom he has bought into.
He has put all his psychological eggs in her basket and he knows he must never ever let it drop.

He reminds me of a naive teenager who runs off to join a cult because they are brainwashed into thinking their family is terrible and someone else is perfect and the answer to all their problems

Profhilodisaster · 31/03/2025 21:46

'Having a word' definitely seems to be a habit of Harry's . The First Lady of Nigeria was absolutely talking about Meghan's iinappropriate choice of clothing .
