I'm not a baker - what's the brown stuff ? It's not a burnt tart is it ? 😬

Awww do we care about women of colour being smeared and maligned now after 7 years? At least we seem to be moving in the right direction 😀. Not being so surprised at how "articulate" they sound could also help.

Anyway, the whole interview seems nonsensical to me. The elephant in the room was not addressed. It seems a very calculated attempt to divert the attention from a possible mismanagement through a he said, she said vicious circle.

Was she good at her job or not?

Being expected to step down when not meeting the requirements of the job ( in the best case scenario)is not being a bully, it is just life
Were these funds mismanaged or not? We will eventually be provided with an answer to these questions when the time is due.

Looking for alternative founding and moving in a different direction doesn't seem the main issue here (I would also argue that this may prove to be a healthy development in the long run).
On the one hand, we have her complaining of not being satisfied with how things were run (implying that the charity was seen primarily as Harry's ) on the other hand, we have a whole board resigning including the other founder and concerns over her managing the funds. Who to believe? I think a thorough investigation on what went down financially with Santabale is the answer.

I personally believe there is something very fishy with how this is being handled.

This makes absolutely no sense!
you have jumped the shark .
🤣🤣🤣

What do you think is fishy?

You keep saying the same thing over and over again. And the only person maligning a woman of colour with unsubstantiated claims is you.

Yes !
im not sure why she’s appropriating a heritage she maligned and didn’t understand and wanted to run away from but it’s a tad offensive!

Baital · 31/03/2025 00:28

If the Board hasn't done its job, was just 'jobs for the boys', surely it makes sense that they stand down and sulk when challenged?

Especially given SC was involved for many years, and asked to come back.

RandyRedHumpback · 31/03/2025 00:30

@Baital I assume you meant she was asked to come back.

LipglossAlly · 31/03/2025 00:34

We have two different accounts from two different sides. A thorough investigation on how the finances were being managed will eventually provide the answer.

It cannot be excluded that further investigation may show that the board had valid reasons to be concerned with how the funding was being managed, or on the efficiency of the whole operation ( starting from the fundraising stage to the money actually going to the intended recipients).

But usually a vote by the majority of the Board would be enough to take action.

The exception would be if there were significant legal concerns about whether the Board members were fulfilling their legal responsibilities to place the beneficiaries of the charity above the wishes of third parties such as the patrons.

Baital · 31/03/2025 00:40

Yes, sorry for not being clear!

No need to apologise. You make an important point. She was a member of the board when the charity was successful. She then left, but was clearly rated highly enough by the trustees to be asked back in 2023. Her investigations seem to be focussing about what happened to the charity during her years away.

LipglossAlly · 31/03/2025 00:47

We also have sources describing the managerial style of SH as "dictatorial".

There are so many allegations going around and the story seems to be rapidly evolving by the minute.
This is why a clearer picture of what was actually going aside from the she said he said vicious circle may only be provided by an investigation carried out by an independent third party.

Profhilodisaster · 31/03/2025 00:49

I know nothing about how charities are run but if Harry and the Board really had concerns over how Dr C was operating, why did they not stand their ground and stick with the charity that meant so much to them? Why didn't they report her to the CC ? Why run away, why not stay if they are adamant they are in the right?

Yes. We know. We've all been saying that the truth will come out in the investigation.

BTW, H&M are reminding me less of Wallis & Edward and more of Louis XIV & Marie Antoinette. Let them eat lemon cake!

Been an awful good girl...

If Meghan turned up on the day of that Polo match unannounced - then who was supposed to be handing over the trophy originally?? And did they gracefully just let Meghan take over? Did they suggest it? Or were they asked/did Harry insist? It must have been a last minute decision. How stressful for the event organisers.

Also, all these late and relatively last minute changes to a long-planned polo event don’t really do H’s security case and IPP bid any favours.

Bringing in a Netflix crew without discussion, leading to a change of venue and many personnel - wasn’t he bothered about the supposedly dire security implications he keeps banging on about? Apparently not.

Invading spectators’ and their children’s privacy by filming them without consent - so that’s ok, is it? Righty ho.

M turning up last minute without prior warning and getting on the stage in public upsetting the staging and timetable - no security issues, apparently, and they can in fact just wander about at will whenever they fancy it like normal people.

Security is only an issue in the horrible racist UK !

Courier Mail Australia sharing the schadenfreude.

“Today, Harry is little more than just another Instagram husband, his key function being to hold Meghan’s iPhone and willingly submit to her art direction as she Creates Content from their kale patch.”

Came to say the same as PP. MM never had a "Mothering Sunday" in the UK as a mother herself. So how could she have had a tradition? Or is she saying she and Harry observe UK Mother's Day rather than US Mother's Day, which is in May? Or do they do both?

They probably do both. My children/family do that for me.
