Just about caught up now and waiting breathlessly for Harold's response.

The board were serving PH over the purposes of a charity

PH didn’t follow any rules - acted like he wanted

Would anyone imagine that he'd expect anything else?
More to the point would anyone fancy being the person volunteered to tell him he can't?

Had to smile about Netflix "declining to comment" though ... maybe not in public, but I'd give a lot to be a fly on their wall right now

Netflix are probably quite happy. More publicity. They don’t particularly care if people watch H&Ms programmes because they love them or loath them.

But you think Harry is honest? 😆

👏👏😀

Let’s hope the staff at Netflix really like raspberry jam spread then 😁

What is it about her fruit preserves that means it is not legally a jam? Too low fruit content?

I was just reading on the BBC that SC refused to defend MM against negative publicity as she didn't want the charity to be dragged into being part of the Sussex PR brand, a brand which she described as 'toxic'.

Which sounds eminently sensible to me.

Why would she be defending the liability/social climber that is MM? SC seems like a force to be reckoned with, she knows exactly what she is talking about. This is not someone who goes around writing 'you are special' on bananas and thinks she's making a difference, this is someone who knows their shit.

Please breathe - certainly don't hold your breath. Trevor Philips said after the SC interview they have extended an open invitation to Harry for an interview. I suspect he is being bound to a chair like Prince Caspian by his PR people even as I type.

Edited and then unedited when realised edit not required 😊

I thought the conversation between the journalists, linked to earlier, was more telling. William and Harry have an informal relationship with Audi sponsoring their charity polo matches, Meghan comes along and tells Audi they need to pay more and the arrangement needs to be made official, Audi then decides to drop out completely.

It shows that Meghan has that 'price of everything, value of nothing' Trumpian attitude to the world. Relationships are transactional, the most important thing about any situation is how much money can be squeezed out of it, it's better to burn everything to the ground than to not get your own way.

Can you direct me to that link pls? I’m having trouble keeping up. Thank you.

MrsLeonFarrell · 30/03/2025 12:32

Iirc Harry has complained frequently about the men in grey suits restricting him from doing what he wanted to. This seems to be the result of removing the training wheels.

Ohpleeeease · 30/03/2025 12:32

Serenster · 30/03/2025 10:41

I agree, but I’d also add that a charity that founders because it hasn’t appreciated that it needs to evolve, and that has become reliant on one funding source, is a charity that has been failed by its management.

Yes totally, and SC had a good grasp of this in her interview with Trevor Phillips.

I believe jam has to be 50/50 sugar and fruit to be technically jam. I don't know why she didn't just do that. Jam has been a thing for centuries so it clearly works. 'Fruit spread' sounds like a diet product which for me contradicts the 'luxury' 'elevated' vibe.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/03/2025 12:40

The newly formed (Sentebale) board includes Iain Rawlinson, a financier who was previously chairman of Tusk Trust, the Prince of Wales’s conservation charity, and who has been advising Ms Chandauka

Well that won't do a lot for Harry's "everyone's out to get me" attitude, though in light of the carry-on over Jason Knauf it'll doubtless please the "everything's William's fault" brigade

As a PP wisely said, this is precisely why the RF need their advisers to save them from PR beartraps and "becoming toast" - except that anyone with even a pretence of integrity seem to be deserting the Sussexes

Too bad really, and a lesson in you reap what you sow ...

ThinkTink · 30/03/2025 12:43

I'm not a personal fan of MM but think all this coverage is getting silly now (not aimed at here but the press).

I don't like trying to read the news and having to scroll past media about her. Honestly think she'd be better off with a lower profile for a while because the attention is relentless

PippistrelleBat · 30/03/2025 12:43

Quite, a ‘spread’ sounds low quality. If a high fruit content then you could go for fruit compote, fruit butter, or fruit cheese. Those all sound much more high end (assuming they don’t have specific American meanings). Spread sounds like a low quality product made mostly with apple purée or something to pad it out.

Sorry, that was in response to PullTheBricksDown

privatenonamegiven · 30/03/2025 12:49

I think if the board of trustees have all stepped down - there is more to this story and it's an easy target for Dr Sophie Chandauka to blame Harry and Megan as everyone knows how disliked they are by the British press...something fishy is going on here.

Weepixie · 30/03/2025 12:49

a spread is mostly made of fruit and very little sugar, in fact it may even have something like apple juice in it to sweeten it instead of sugar.

Well she's got the chance to kick back for a day or two now Harold's hogging the limelight 😃

Yep, some very fishy things, one of the fishy things is Harry having undue influence on the trustees, who are his mates, and poor governance as a result. The even fishier thing is they all stepped down to avoid being held to account in a court case, and even fishier is why did Harry use the media to announce it all.

I don't know if its fishy or not, but what was Seesio doing putting his family member on the board of trustees and he couldn't even bother to show up for most of the meetings.

What coverage? Sentebale?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/03/2025 12:56

I do wonder if there are rumblings in the Invictus camp about the Sussex brand this might embolden them to have a frank discussion with Harry

In light of the way H&M have made recent Invictus Games mostly about themselves I'd say that conversation's well overdue, @BasiliskStare, but what it would do to Harry's mental state doesn't bear thinking about

However the cause matters (or should) more than any individual, so here's hoping it contains people with sufficient integrity to act

I don't know enough about who the board of trustees but given Trevor Philips known relationship with Dr Sophie Chandauka perhaps we should be questioning the impartiality of that interview.

The focus seems to be on Harry and Megan, as they're easy targets - perhaps the whole system needs questioning if what you're alleging is true about putting 'mates' in position of power etc.
