Commissionable links- means when a potential customer clicks on the link, it's attributed to the affiliate, allowing the brand to record the source of the traffic. If someone buys a product using an affiliate link, the brand will pay the affiliate marketer commission on the sale

But she’s not an influencer?

This is really sad actually.

He's the ONLY draw. The title and the marriage is her only USP.

But she must be frustrated he is not as keen on monetising as she seems to be.

Well, he has his 'CHIMPO' gig and does occasional speeches for which I'm sure he gets an appearance fee.

But I do think he considers the idea of blatantly selling stuff to be beneath him, even though that's more or less what he's doing with his CHIMPO job. At least he can pretend he's doing something more elevated. But having his wife literally selling stuff online must be embarrassing for him. His type of people don't do that.

AtIusvue · 24/03/2025 18:27

Harry’s knows what all his family and aristo friends will be thinking…..so embarrassing

It's weird how the people who chastise everyone on threads about the woman all, without fail, use the word 'hate'. Not gossip/bitching/slagging off etc. always hate.
They never paste in any examples of the hate that's upsetting them so much, which would help others to understand.
Is merely discussing a minor celebrity 'hate'? Confused

LivelyMintViper · 24/03/2025 18:33

Agreed she shouldn't do this. But how are the RF going to stop her? They have no teeth they are prepared to use....

Baital · 24/03/2025 18:35

It's the direction they have been travelling. A bit of a come down from the £30million wedding, which us tax payers got landed with.

But predictable since their flounce.

sleetysnowflakes · 24/03/2025 18:36

Will the clothes all be eco friendly and provide fair wages to the people who make them?

We know the royal family are not going to do anything about it .

The royal family in the U.K. are not allowed to use their titles for personal monetary gain, they are also not supposed to interfere in politics.
the late queen was firm about this for reasons.
she’s using a U.K. royal title from snd actual U.K. place to make money.

they all do it though, don't they.

Doesn't alter the fact they agreed not to use titles etc. and now are but i wouldn't expect integrity from any members of the family and alhough she married in she appears to be cut from the same cloth

IdaGlossop · 24/03/2025 18:36

@jeffgoldblum I didn't think your former reply was sharp, TBH. It's kind if you to apologise even so. She has cheapened the monarchy and is one of several who have tainted it - Prince Andrew (paedophile friend), Fergie (cash for access), Prince Edward (It's a Royal knockout), Peter Phillips (advertising milk). It's the £23m wedding that sticks in my craw the most with Meghan. It feels as though by spilling family secrets and being behind 'H's' Spare revelations, she is mocking the citizens of a nation that welcomed her.

I think Harry buries his head with all this. He knows how embarrassing it is to have married an influencer.

I think meghan provides him with an easy life, cooks bacon for him every breakfast and allows him to laze about all day while she organises the running of the home/businesses. In return, he doesn’t say anything when she further lowers the bar in what she’s willing to do for money. Including using her title to tout for commission.

Agree. He comes across as so weak and spineless.

Good point.

SanctusInDistress · 24/03/2025 18:41

Everybody needs to earn their bacon. Royals are no exception. If they are doing ribbon cutting then they’ve got to do something else, and if she enjoys fashion then it’s an honest way to earn a living.

Thats pretty much how I feel to be fair!!
however you may feel about the monarchy it’s a U.K. institution that has survived for hundreds of years , it’s weathered many scandals but still it’s a symbol of the U.K. to many , she’s turning it into some cheap medieval times knockoff !
I blame Harry more , he should know better, he should have put a stop to this before I got this far but he hasn’t , honestly at this moment I see him as being almost as bad as his uncle!

The echo warrior made a balloon arch and propped single use plastic in her show, so I doubt consideration to anything beyond profit will be given.

Edited

They weren’t minor royals though , they were senior royals before they stepped down.

The sad thing is more grown women writing Meghan-bashing threads. Absolutely tragic.

You may want to revise your understanding of the word tragic.

Good for her. She's not sponging off the taxpayer. Kate buys 3000 pound coats and no one bats an eyelid.

Paedophilia has to be the number one in the tainting stakes for me, with Harry second. I can't look at photographs of William without remembering that Harry told us he is circumcised, something we subjects do not need to know. Charles himself is by no means clean when it comes to money. The monarchy has over centuries enriched itself by grabbing the property of its citizens. Despite all this, I can see, for the first time in my life, that the monarchy is earning its keep through delicate diplomacy.

Ohpleeeease · 24/03/2025 18:49

Who on earth is using the term “bashing” for criticism? I don’t think this is any place for children.

Mightymoog · 24/03/2025 18:54

MrsLeonFarrell · 24/03/2025 17:27

Yes it was pretty obvious from the moment they left that at some point they would be moving into the commercial field. You simply can't make large sums of money wandering around foreign countries shaking hands.

In some ways I admire Meghan's grit. She keeps going, doesn't get discouraged by failure and tried lots of things to make money.

Harry in contrast is useless, unless you count the money he gets for doing whatever it is be does at Better up.

Actually I've completely forgotten what better up as all about!!

Strictly speaking, the coat money is from Duchy of Cornwall profits, not from us. Reaching further back, though, you could argue the duchy land was seized from the British so the profits should be ours.

vast majority of their wealth has come from us.
It makes me furious
