Why is everything white and beige???

I thought she loved colour and the royal family only let her wear beige? So now she's 'free' I'd have thought she'd want to be showcasing vibrant colours?

If Meghan had got her website and product line ready before she launched she wouldn't have these problems. These rumours are ludicrous but some will believe and spread them.

Also the actual jar of jam is very small - only 215g compared to 340g for a standard UK jar of jam - so a bit over a half jar.

Maybe the $200 a pot rumour is a deliberate PR ploy? Because whatever the actual price is after that, as long as it's lower means some idiots people will think they're getting a bargain?

It's small - fine for mustard - for jam not quite so much I would have thought.
( I know it is spread for technical reasons and that doesn't bother me personally at all - it's got less sugar in it and I don't have a sweet tooth ) but that really is a very small jar for so much packaging. If this is going to be a family favourite midnight snack or lovely breakfast thing or put in atop your yoghurt in this house I would have to be buying one 5 times a week.

Like @TheMeasure I don't believe the $200 a jar for an instant. Even $25 , which I guess was a mistake I think is a bit steep for that size but who knows.

I’ve had an epiphany as to why she chose jam.

Anyone remember the film “Six degrees of separation”? Here’s the Will Smith quote, “Trent: When rich people do something nice for you, you give 'em a pot of jam.”

So what do you give rich people who have everything as a present? Why, posh jam, of course. And no ordinary jam. Meghan&Sussex jam.

Those mini-jars of jam and marmalade that you sometimes get in posh hotels contain 28g - so Meghan's 215g jar would give you 7-8 servings.

It will be interesting to see what the real pricing is - for comparative purposes Highgrove sells a standard 340g jar of organically certified Raspberry and Blackberry preserve for £6.95 (or you can get Organic Strawberry and Champagne preserve for the same price).

I suspect it’s such a small amount because once it’s opened it will go off very quickly given the low sugar content of a spread. It’s not something you’d have on your toast then put back in your fridge till you fancy jam on toast again a few months later.

Why did she call it spread? Why not jam when jam is her jam. Is it because to call a product a jam it has to have gone through a certain process 🍓
