Commissionable links- means when a potential customer clicks on the link, it's attributed to the affiliate, allowing the brand to record the source of the traffic. If someone buys a product using an affiliate link, the brand will pay the affiliate marketer commission on the sale

But she’s not an influencer?

This is really sad actually.

I would expect it to be spread all over my body and be licked off me by Pedro Pascal for that money.

Genuinely would purchase.

I think meghan is alright i dont get why so much hate is at her when there is much worse out there.
Oh wait is it because harry chose his wife instead of the family doing it and stands by her good for him.

No hate, just think they're both hilarious.
As are you. 😃

Why is everything white and beige???

I thought she loved colour and the royal family only let her wear beige? So now she's 'free' I'd have thought she'd want to be showcasing vibrant colours?

Or was she not being entirely honest about it being the royal family's fault she only wears beige, white and neutral tones??

MrsLeonFarrell · 28/03/2025 17:20

Serenster · 28/03/2025 15:57

I would have thought the Tiktok rumours are well out of the ballpark. But I then saw Flamingo Estate charges $80 for a jar of dehydrated strawberries, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it has a premium price tag, even if not quite in the hundreds!

https://flamingoestate.com/products/strawberry-fruit-snack

If Meghan had got her website and product line ready before she launched she wouldn't have these problems. These rumours are ludicrous but some will believe and spread them.

Lunde · 28/03/2025 18:20

BasiliskStare · 28/03/2025 14:32

Surely all the jams aren't going to come in those boxes ? I could see an option for it if you were making a mini hamper for someone but if you like her spread and end up buying it regularly what on earth do you do with all those boxes - OK they'll be recyclable but even so. Just adding to the cost for the sake of it.

Also the actual jar of jam is very small - only 215g compared to 340g for a standard UK jar of jam - so a bit over a half jar.

Are people really prepared to pay a huge premium for a tiny jar in huge cardboard packaging??

Meghan now flogging clothes for commission.
TheMeasure · 28/03/2025 18:47

Maybe the $200 a pot rumour is a deliberate PR ploy? Because whatever the actual price is after that, as long as it's lower means some idiots people will think they're getting a bargain?

BasiliskStare · 28/03/2025 19:51

@Lunde I just went into the kitchen to find a 215g jar of something and found a jar of Grey Poupon Dijon mustard www.ocado.com/products/grey-poupon-dijon-mustard-11070011?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADi6iHkEq_LK8fcnPdLdNYnMmP74v&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkZm_BhDrARIsAAEbX1E0GmRKOIEDaQGfjLaa_fqsunLz82MPnGUoPR0U5dg-o-03HCe0238aAqNnEALw_wcB

It's small - fine for mustard - for jam not quite so much I would have thought.
( I know it is spread for technical reasons and that doesn't bother me personally at all - it's got less sugar in it and I don't have a sweet tooth ) but that really is a very small jar for so much packaging. If this is going to be a family favourite midnight snack or lovely breakfast thing or put in atop your yoghurt in this house I would have to be buying one 5 times a week.

Like @TheMeasure I don't believe the $200 a jar for an instant. Even $25 , which I guess was a mistake I think is a bit steep for that size but who knows.

Anyway I am not alone 😂https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-14546679/Fans-baffled-meghan-markle-jam-packaging.html

Wasn’t it supposed to be a “keepsake” box? What would you keep in that with the hexagonal bottom bit?

Goodness me! Three posts to me in minutes just because I said I thought the clip of Meghan and Gwyneth was actually quite amusing, I must have hit a nerve with my mild positivity! 😂😅

Please ignore the rest of this post or it might send you into a meltdown!

Back on track as per the thread....Headline from an article...
Meghan Markle's On-Screen Style Is a Hit with Fans as Many Items from Her Online Store Are Already Sold Out!

Good to hear, I hope it works out for her 🙂

Nah, I was just mildly amused lol!

I don't have a single nerve you'll ever hit luckily... 😂

Fair enough! I admit I take these things at face value, as I don't have social media like Facebook or Instagram. The nuances are probably lost on me!

Just seen your post @Extiainoiapeial : I don't know about anyone else but I'm not vested enough in this gossipy banality between two women any more than my two passing comments today. I don't know who you want to admit anything, but saying there's something to admit implies hidden intentions. I can promise you I don't think about these women enough to have any 😂and I can't think why anyone would be disappointed to find out that you're not arch enemies ("arch enemies"!! You make it sound like Enid Blyton meets Sweet Valley High 😂)

It sounds utterly, utterly tedious! I wouldn't be bothered to watch that!

Wash out the empty spread jar and then replace it in the box . The spread jar will be a handy container, as a mother, to keep children's baby teeth (you must hide the keepsake packaging if you are still doing the tooth fairy ) , or commemorative H&M wedding coins https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166338367177 or just whisper your hopes and dreams into the jar , pop the lid on, and just let a few out every now and again when you are in need of reminding you can be anything you want to be.

aka @smilesy I have absolutely no idea . I suppose children could make it into an Apollo rocket with the detachable booster. Fuck knows 😂

I got a metal one a bit like that from a Hotel Chocolat Easter egg last year. I keep cats' grooming stuff in it .

QueenOfHertz · 28/03/2025 23:01

I’ve had an epiphany as to why she chose jam.

Anyone remember the film “Six degrees of separation”? Here’s the Will Smith quote, “Trent: When rich people do something nice for you, you give 'em a pot of jam.”

So what do you give rich people who have everything as a present? Why, posh jam, of course. And no ordinary jam. Meghan&Sussex jam.

ETA mustard jar

Edited

Those mini-jars of jam and marmalade that you sometimes get in posh hotels contain 28g - so Meghan's 215g jar would give you 7-8 servings.

It will be interesting to see what the real pricing is - for comparative purposes Highgrove sells a standard 340g jar of organically certified Raspberry and Blackberry preserve for £6.95 (or you can get Organic Strawberry and Champagne preserve for the same price).

Weepixie · 29/03/2025 00:05

I suspect it’s such a small amount because once it’s opened it will go off very quickly given the low sugar content of a spread. It’s not something you’d have on your toast then put back in your fridge till you fancy jam on toast again a few months later.

CornishTeaTime · 29/03/2025 00:21

Why did she call it spread? Why not jam when jam is her jam. Is it because to call a product a jam it has to have gone through a certain process 🍓

Weepixie · 29/03/2025 00:31

@CornishTeaTime its to do with the texture and the sugar content.

Ah so it's not a jam then more fruit based then...weird
