I’ve only just caught the Gwyneth drama. That video from her is extraordinary! There she is, in her kitchen with the lights off, no make-up on, no desire to make anything or herself look especially nice or as though she cares too much (I saw the Architectural Digest piece on her Montecito house, it’s gorgeous!). Single plate, slice of pie, it’s how you’d treat a workman: come have some pie in the kitchen on your break. Meanwhile, Meghan made up, groomed, wearing her Cartier jewelry, playing the part Gwyneth suggested/told her to play to “make this go away, we all know I’m established and you can’t even get this off the ground, let me teach you a thing or two”. Meghan’s not even speaking. Nobody puts a friend on Instagram in this way, and a silent supporting actress, including Meghan. They’re not equals in any respect in that short clip. It’s like Gwyneth summoned her and Meghan went running. The overacting from her was also AWFUL. GP patronised Meghan, and Meghan allowed herself to be used. This after GP “liked” the original As Ever fashion line and not Meghan’s As Ever when it first launched. So petty and low, both of them. They’re middle aged women fgs!

Meanwhile, that boxed jam is perplexing. How much can a person sell jam for?! Farm shop jam in the Hamptons can go for around $10-$12, maybe more in the summer months, maybe considerably more in the equivalent of Erewhon. $25 would make most people stop and consider. That packaging alone however puts it outside that range. How many people are going to spend what would have to be at least $40 for Meghan Markle’s jam??

And can I just say I don’t think I’ve ever known a product launch to have such a long lead time (let alone jam!!!). Apple products, new concept cars, new fashion lines - none of them go on for a year, go through a very publicly humiliating rebrand and STILL fail to come to market. And this is jam!! Mind boggling.

Actually, I've now just seen the bit where GP says she doesn't know H&M and that if she can get through their security (!! - meow!) she might visit her new neighbor with a pie. That, on top of the As Ever thing, is 100% mocking MM.

So, with this little video, GP got MM to make the effort of going over to her house (not even receiving a visit), and say (demonstrate, seeing as she wasn't allowed to say anything!) that she wasn't being mocked by GP, she's all good, and actually look they're friendly enough to eat pie together! Wow. GP played her like a cat with a mouse.

Meghan, Meghan, Meghan. Never change. So, so entertaining!

@Onlyonekenobe I absolutely agree with your post. I thought it strange that Meghan didn't utter one word. She was so excited thinking she has made it into Gwyneth's World. She's been well an truly made to look like the village idiot.

Surely all the jams aren't going to come in those boxes ? I could see an option for it if you were making a mini hamper for someone but if you like her spread and end up buying it regularly what on earth do you do with all those boxes - OK they'll be recyclable but even so. Just adding to the cost for the sake of it.

No one in their right minds believe this is genuine. It's a PR act. Fans had ramped Gwyneth's breakfast reel into something that it possibly wasn't and Meghan's fans took up the baton and ran with it. It brewed up and suddenly looked bitchy. It had to be resolved. It's a lesson in how crazed fans can act towards others. It's not new. We've seen this many times with Meghan's fans. Recently I think of them being there at the Winter Games targeting people and Meghan's years long curated fans in New York.

I said at the time that people should not assume that gp was throwing shade at Meghan because the likelihood was it was just another one of the usual videos she would release.
obviously they aren’t friends they don’t know each other, not being someone’s friend doesn’t make you their enemy.
after fans went up the mulberry bush clearly pr were involved to nip it in the bud .

I can promise you I don't think about these women enough to have any 😂and I can't think why anyone would be disappointed to find out that you're not arch enemies ("arch enemies"!!
