I think Harry and Meghan originally had a lot of support from anti monarchists. they thought supporting them was a vote against the Royal Family. I wonder how they feel about Meghan's determination to brand herself Royal.
I have always admired those people born with titles who never use them. Timothy Bentinck who plays David Archer on the Archers , is actually the 12th Earl of Portland. He never refers to his title or aristocratic roots. He is an actor.
I think a lot of Meghan's original supporters are thrown by her quasi royalty.
Yet there appear to be lots and lots of people and posters on here who love her being royal. I just wonder how they see her role panning out?
I did ask a few times up thread but no one really answered. I am not including the posters who feel sorry for her and defend her because of that. I am asking the ones who embrace and support her portrayal of herself as Royalty. She will never have a role here in the UK so she has to become American Royalty. Is that what her followers want to see? With future roles for Meghan's children.
It all makes me very fond of Timothy Bentinck and even The Right Honourable Kirsty Allsop for making their way without using their titles.

I think that her ( and Harry's) hard core of supporters, and many on here, are very hard line royalists and monarchists. They love them because of the Royal cachet, enthralled by their status. Who else would support unofficial royals like this?
I don't think royalty should exist, so I really have no respect them because they're essentially self promoting royals with none of the responsibilities, yet all of the entitlement, crowns and flim flammery.
No anti monarchists would support such obvious privilege and greed.

That is exactly what I think. However, I would like to hear from posters who who, presumably want to see her as 'Queen' of California. The ones who defend her royal status etc.

It's peculiar, @Hitherzither . Yet these same people criticise William. I'm no fan, but he's in Estonia with the troops on the Russian front, and talking to Ukrainian child refugees. This is at the behest of the UK government.
Harry and Meghan wanted to have UK taxpayers money and support, but were not prepared to act on our behalf.
Harry still expects us to pay for his security.

The crown monogram comes across as arrogant - it might work tongue in cheek for Madonna or elvis or brands like Burger King or Vivienne Westwood shoes, but without some terrible tragedy, there’s no way she would ever wear a crown.

It's an interesting one, and it's used as a signifier. She's Royal. She has high social status, wealth and privilege as a right.

The note is quite bizarre really.

it does make more sense that she would send it to an influencer who is a fan of hers (although one who had expressed concern about how she might come across in the show) but it still comes across as a little bit passive aggressive, and just a bit weird really. Hard to work out the intent behind it.

She obviously has nice handwriting but I do find all the flares on the letters very contrived and a bit over the top, but each to their own. The crown over the M is expected (as ever), but a definite eye roll. God forbid anyone should forget her royal connections for a single second.

people who use their position to lie and bully are not popular.
people who constantly do ridiculous things will be mocked.
people who are hypocritical and inauthentic will be fact checked.
the amount of threads corresponds to the amount of stupidity being thrown in peoples faces.
attempting to shame people into silence always leads to the opposite action.

The necklace is gone.
But it's there in the opening clips.
Then it vanishes.
Then it's back again.
So this is an edit of multiple different takes done at different times. Some whilst wearing a necklace. Others whilst not wearing a necklace.
But it's supposed to be an 'off the cuff' reel, taken spontaneously.
So inauthentic 🙄

I've got a twisted gold bangle from what I can see similar to what she has on but I bet mine is much more fine and less valuable! When my parents died there was some old gold, broken brooches type of thing, and I took it all to a craft jeweller who made it into a twisted bangle and I wear it all the time!
