I'm bored of talking about talking about it so I won't address that debate.
The note itself, it's an interesting one, isn't it? She has a genius for doing things that can be interpreted in wildly different ways. It's hard to tell if it was an impulsive action, driven by anger. But, if so, why this person and not others who have made similar comments?
That makes me think more that it's a strategy. If she thinks the note is humorous, she could be trying to have a bit of a joke, knowing that the person she sent it to would publicise it and building her more whimsical, joyful persona. And choosing to do it on monogrammed paper would obviously wind up her critics, gaining her more attention.
My own instinctive reaction was that this is not what celebrities normally do so I was taken aback. It seems a bit...undignified. But American humour and British humour are famously different so it could have landed better there.
I was on the DM home page late yesterday and this was really far down the page. I do think her general trajectory, despite the debate here on MN, is that she's getting less attention from the MSM than she has done in the past. So doing things that are 'attention-seeking' might now be part of her stragegy and planning because she needs attention to monetise her influencer status.
