Weekly global viewing figures are 2.6 million, Meghan would have been hoping for that figure for the US alone. Realistically it's the US market she really needs. The figures will also include those who hate/mock and curious but will have no intention to buy goods. She definitely wins in her and Harry with polo being 600,000 viewers in the first week.

What are the viewing figures for the other NF new series this week? Toxic Town has been number 1 all week so I wondered how it fares.

4.7 million views for Toxic Town over the week, apparently.

Running Point has 12.2 million views.

It’s still in the top 10 though so it’s not bad. Probably not as good as Meghan was hoping though.

AutumnCrowRoyale · 13/03/2025 06:38

I think those other shows will hang around in the Top Ten awhile. The execrable WLM, not so much.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 13/03/2025 06:41

Over next couple of weeks will be interesting to see then. When is the next drop? I should imagine that will be more revealing on popularity.

AutumnCrowRoyale · 13/03/2025 06:44

So, thus far Netflix have given a much-fanfared ‘$100 million contract’ to the ‘fucking grifters’ for content with a combined total of what, a little over 3.5 million views?

What a waste of resources. I have colleagues who spend £zero on producing neat educational YouTube videos for the student & mass market. La La Land indeed.

That's pretty terrible considering that nearly 2 billion watched the wedding and the first NF doc series got 30M households in the first four days. It's almost as if the RF is the real draw, not her, who'd have thought 🤔

WendyFromTransvisionWamp · 13/03/2025 07:50

I was on my own last night so decided to check out WLM (without DH being there and rolling his eyes). By the time I got logged on Netflix I got swayed to watch 1883 instead. So WLM couldn’t even lure me to hate watch. Oh dear. I’ll try again when DH is out another night…

Going briefly back to the death of the late Queen.

Like a pp, I have always thought that Catherine volunteered not to go to Balmoral as MM would have caused an absolute scene if C went and she didn't.

So she stayed behind to keep the peace and avoid an enormous spanner being thrown in the works at a time of already unbelievable stress. I am sure she would rather have been there to support her husband.

C could have broken the news to the children and travelled up later otherwise I would think.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 13/03/2025 08:10

I don’t know. Apart from William and then later Harry none of the other grandchildren went. And he caused a scene about it, all detailed in his book.

Ohpleeeease · 13/03/2025 08:14

The scramble to attend the bedside of a dying woman was unseemly. There was no reason on earth for Markle to be there. I hope the Queen was able to die peacefully with only a very few of the most precious people to her in attendance.

Treeleaf11 · 13/03/2025 08:16

I think H's behaviour on the Queens deathbed is one of the worst things he has done. Instead of being a support to his father on presumably one of the worst times of his life he was arguing with him. I don't think I could ever forgive that.

It’s a wonder Andrew wasn’t done an injury then.

Goddamn it what do you do when your bingo card is full and someone calls out yet another number? Can I win twice?

I agree. It was despicable behaviour.

Treeleaf11 · 13/03/2025 08:38

Not only was his behaviour so terrible that day, his account of it in Spare reveals that even looking back he still thinks he was in the right to speak to KC like that at such a time.

Mylovelygreendress · 13/03/2025 08:46

By the time H arrived , Charles, Camilla and William had gone to Birkhall. H didn’t join them and left on the first available flight the next morning.

That’s really poor for Meghan. Drive to Survive is on the same viewing figures and it only came out on Friday (I assume they do a calendar week - Monday - Sunday?)

some of the other shows are on 2x or 3x the viewing numbers despite having been out for multiple weeks. As another poster pointed out previously, WLM is not going to be a “grower” - its highest hits will be in the first week after the blaze of global publicity for the show, after which it will drop like a stone.

I presume this is just looking at any view rather than episode or series completions, on which metrics I imagine WLM will fare even more poorly.

Ohpleeeease · 13/03/2025 08:55

I cancelled my Netflix subscription the minute they signed Harold and Madge. I probably wasn’t the only one.

Yes his sheer selfishness and immaturity are truly breathtaking. Also I wonder if he had been in touch with William at all in the past year . The worst year of William’s life and Harry’s just carrying on behaving like an overgrown schoolboy.

I totally agree and it’s worth remembering every time their supporters trot out the line “what have they done wrong, apart from leave the RF for their own sanity.”

anyone with a single shred of decency or humility would realise how inappropriate it was to be kicking off and asserting your rights at a time like this - even if there had been no fall out and Meghan had a good relationship with the family it would be totally inappropriate, but in the light of how she (and they) had both behaved, broadcasting horrible and damaging lies about the family and ruining the peace of the Queen and Prince Philip’s last years, it is just unconscionable.

I really think they’re both just awful people, as they’ve demonstrated time and time again.

Harry is probably sulking that he only found out along with the rest of the world . He would have expected a personal phone call and Catherine to check that Meghan was ok.

Edited

Could you imagine living your whole extraordinary life as a monarch, seeing what the Queen has seen, 15 prime ministers, endless scandals, holding up the commonwealth and meeting millions of people across the globe…then being patronised on your death bed with word salad from a disingenuous pair of arseholes talking in California language about “showing up” and “being present” and “letting you know I’m thinking of you in little ways…here, have some jam to die with”
