I think Meghan is a good looking woman. I also think the preponderance of cocktails in the show is more to do with the fact that M has added alcohol to her list of products for as Ever than a reflection of her day to day drinking. But I don't know - just how it struck me. I didn't see any clips of her with the red dress on at the children's event but it wouldn't surprise me if that was her "giddy excited Meghan" rather than that she was one over the eight.

@TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis I am sure your MIL is a lovely woman but I think in this she is Wrong 😂 I think both Richard Osman and Bill Bailey are great . Hs she ever seen Bill Bailey's Guide to the Orchestra filmed at the RAH - that's really good.

If you watch carefully the booze wasn’t even drunk. The glasses stayed full. And they didn’t eat more than a nibble either. Reminds me of the SATC episode where they visit LA and people just pretend to eat.

I think people saying MM has a drink problem are massively reaching

PS. Does anyone else wonder if Harry has some kind (I believe there are different kinds) of ADHD?

Nope. Only because we’d have heard about it and he’d have behaved like the first person in the world to have ADHD

I have to admit, I'm not one for criticism of looks or clothing.
I don't care what she looks like , I just think she is an awful, liar.

I think she’s stunning and dresses really well. And also that she’s an awful liar

JandamiHash · 12/03/2025 21:55

Watching the episode where she has 2 mates over and one is from Suits. The way they laugh at the Suits friend (who looks positively skeletal) because she got the weight of the salt wrong had frenemy vibes. How the fuck was she supposed to know that that fish she’d never eaten had 100 gallons of salt in it

Weepixie · 12/03/2025 21:56

I suspect Meghan hasn’t been cancelled because there’s nothing to cancel.

JandamiHash · 12/03/2025 22:00

Re the point around beauty, she banged on about how gorgeous her friend Delphi was before she came in, that she was stunning it even more beautiful on the inside. I honestly thought Delphi was a normal looking woman, but taller (also who says to a close friend “you’re so tall!” Randomly). She looks like most of the school mums here in Yorkshire and they seemed to make a thing about her looks

See, to me Delfi was gorgeous because she was so warm and chatty and apparently had no problem mucking in and bumbling around in Spanglish with no hesitation at all. She seemed lovely! It felt like a stark contrast.

Yes it could all just be product placement. I just wondered that’s all.

Mylovelygreendress · 12/03/2025 22:15

When do we expect to see actual products on sale ? Summer ? Thanksgiving ? Christmas?
Never ?

MissRoseDurward · 12/03/2025 22:18

She didn’t “show up” with quiet and genuine kindness for any of her blood family, nor for Harry’s, and look what they’ve been through in recent years. I don’t believe she has a shred kindness in her, no empathy, just an overriding urge to be the centre of attention,

Most notably, on the day the Queen died, when everyone was kept waiting while she and H argued that she should go to Balmoral with him.

Even Sophie didn't go, and she was as close as another daughter to the Queen.

Catherine couldn't go, even if she had thought of going, because someone had to be there to pick the children up from school and tell them what was happening.

I think it quite likely that Catherine was unable to go because Madam wouldn’t be placated if Catherine was going and she wasn’t .

Mylovelygreendress · 12/03/2025 22:58

Sophie did go however she was very close to the Queen .

Vespanest · 12/03/2025 23:37

It was the grandchildren that were not allowed to go, William was invited as the soon to be heir. Harry instead of viewing it as an exception and a privilege was more concerned about hierarchy and equal treatment. I do not know if Catherine was or wasn't invited but I'm glad she didn't as that would have been awful for the other grandchildren.

TheMeasure · 12/03/2025 23:37

I don't see why Harry thought he should go anyway? None of the other grandchildren did (at that point) apart from William and I presume that was because he is a direct heir to the throne.
Yes, Sophie went. There are photos of her in a car travelling from the airport.
I think it was appalling the way Harry (and possibly Meghan) made the entire thing all about them.

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 12/03/2025 23:53

Charles immediately became king upon his mother's death. Thus having both grief, and the biggest job of his life, thrust upon him in one fell swoop. Obviously all the children and grandchildren would have been equally important in terms of the Queen's family, but only one of them had their circumstances change radically as a result of her death - Charles - and only two of the grandchildren, William and Harry, were Charles' children, and presumably the men he would want by his side to provide comfort and support at this huge junction in his life. Well in theory, anyway, In practice, only William appeared to be supporting his father. We all know from Harry's own words in Spare what a whiny, unpleasant little fucker he was to Charles, who was going through god knows what emotionally. He made some really unpleasant remarks about Charles being incoherent when he received the call to go up to Balmoral. He himself says he was only placated at Meghan not being invited to go up when he was told Catherine would not be. As if Catherine and Meghan were equals. They were not. The former having a long relationship with the queen, being a working royal, being about to be Princess of Wales and being the future queen. And the latter being a lying, conniving flouncer who had gleefully slagged off to the world everything the queen worked for her whole life.

WRT Sophie, I thought she was already at Balmoral on holiday when the queen became ill before her death. Either way, she was as beloved to the queen as her own biological children, so it's fitting she should be there as an honorary daughter.

Did Scobie tweet that MM was on her way to Balmoral ahead of any official announcements and then had to retract?

Yes he did. And in the retraction had to make it clear that Catherine wasn't going either. Pathetic.

Vespanest · 13/03/2025 01:03

Weekly global viewing figures are 2.6 million, Meghan would have been hoping for that figure for the US alone. Realistically it's the US market she really needs. The figures will also include those who hate/mock and curious but will have no intention to buy goods. She definitely wins in her and Harry with polo being 600,000 viewers in the first week.

YourWinter · 12/03/2025 20:42

Meghan seems unaware that her narcissistic character is massively exposed (elevated?) even in the trailer for WLM. Desperately trying to impress, desperate for validation, for gratitude, but it’s all so false. No matter how much she insists it’s all about “showing up”, showing she’s thinking of someone, showing she cares, and needing effusive gratitude and congratulations for being So Kind.

Where was the kindness when her father needed it? She didn’t “show up” with quiet and genuine kindness for any of her blood family, nor for Harry’s, and look what they’ve been through in recent years. I don’t believe she has a shred kindness in her, no empathy, just an overriding urge to be the centre of attention, only inclined to “give” when she can publicise how fabulously generous she’s been - look! Look at me being kind! Did you see me being kind? Who is the kindest Duchess of them all? ME! ME!

She’s a lousy actress, a liar and a hypocrite, and a spiteful, selfish woman.

She wanted to be a princess in a palace at least, preferably a castle, and all she was offered was a royal apartment, and a royal “cottage”. Poor little fool.

She only “shows up” for people who are useful to her, not anyone else

JandamiHash · 13/03/2025 01:18

For someone who apparently has enough close friends to fill a 8 part TV series, it’s interesting that not only did she have no adult bridesmaids, but the friends at her wedding were colleagues and celebrities she’d never met.

The fact they were busy messaging their little PR vulture whilst QE2 was literally on her deathbed saying goodbye to her children shows what soulless, vacuous little twats they both are. I can’t imagine how the family felt at them being at the funeral and Meghan having the nerve to cry

Yes “Hi granny, I know I’ve just slagged you off on international TV, completely insulted everything you stand for and made shocking allegations - whilst your cherished husband was in hospital on end of life care - but TA-DAH, here I am!”

Weepixie · 13/03/2025 01:45

As a mum and granny I’d not want a child or grandchild kept away from my death bed. I just couldn’t hurt them. But I suspect the siblings of my children and grandchildren would probably come very close to doing them an injury if they’d made my life or my last few years or months a misery.

RevolutionaryMode · 13/03/2025 02:50

It’s a wonder Andrew wasn’t done an injury then.
