It must be costing a fortune too. If they’re on their uppers, why does she waste so much money!

It will have come out of the production budget.

And seriously, what adult is thrilled at the arrival of a 'bespoke ice cream van'? This is a workplace, not a children's birthday party! Then again, she seems to prefer that children's birthday parties involve no actual children, so clearly she doesn't think of these things i the way you or I might think of them.

JSMill · 09/03/2025 14:48

I saw a clip of the no-kids kids party on TikTok. I can't believe there's been little comment on it. It looked so weird, them sitting on their own eating the kids treats.

glitterturd · 09/03/2025 15:13

She should have given them some of her bone broth as a treat!

They could have invited the production crew's kids if they wanted to do something nice. I imagine that might have been a health & safety/risk assessment/insurance issue, though. Or just invited some local kids, or kids from one of the groups MM is associated with. Why waste all that food and balloons for nothing?

Or beforehand, contact charities to find out if any families are struggling with food poverty, and have it delivered there.

The picture of her and Mindy walking through the balloon arch is borderline creepy.

Two 40 something women wearing girlish floral dresses walking into a 'children's party' with no children? Even though they have 5 young children between them?

I take the point above that there may have been insurance or safety regulations involved, but then I would say skip the whole 'children's party' theme. It just looked 'off'.

Didn’t they have something similar at their wedding? In some ways they are like adults with arrested development.

MayaKovskaya · 09/03/2025 16:55

Someone on another thread said that they thought both of them act as if they're 12. It's an interesting point.

Bontonbonbon · 09/03/2025 17:01

I would agree that she has hurt people, which is why her victim act gets such a visceral reaction. We’ve all known that girl. The bully who projects the perfect image for attention but is ruthlessly unkind and cutting to ensure that no one steals her spotlight. The more I see of Meghan, the more it looks like her modus operandi is very cruel and self centred.

If you look at her history over the last ten years, she is either the most unfortunate person who only ever meets arseholes. Or she is a ruthless operator who will cut anyone gets in her way dead, even family members.

Her list of victims include The Queen, The King, The POW, Princess Charlotte, Prince William, Kensington Palace staff, Archwell staff, her father, her sister, too many friends to name.

I’m sure these people aren’t blameless angels. But I am always suspicious of someone who has a long string of bad interactions with people. How has she managed to lose so many relationships?

The answer seems to be that she’s not a very nice person and she doesn’t actually care about other people. I’d respect her more if she’s stop pretending. All these tours and shows and speeches about how caring she is. Why can’t she keep relationships with those closest to her if she is so wonderful?

JSMill · 09/03/2025 17:07

@IcedPurple I agree. I wonder if MM was determined to do a children's party because the Middletons are known for having a children's party business. Carole Middleton should have her own show. I bet she does everything perfectly. I remember reading a quote from a parent whose children were at Marlborough at the same time saying that she would these amazing picnics on sports day and all the children would want to sit with them.

Ah! Lightbulb moment. Of course that’s what she’s trying to do.

Baital · 09/03/2025 17:26

It's quite sad.

Needing the adulation of strangers, setting up people as targets to be 'better than'.

I hope that's not true, I hope they are happy with what they have - so.much more in material terms than the vast majority of others. But I am not sure that ties in with their behaviour.

Thank goodness 😂 I have no chance to pretend to be 'better' than anyone else!

Baital · 09/03/2025 17:26

But feel free to curtsey and call me ma'am!

Vespanest · 09/03/2025 17:46

Many a royal family member including "just call me Harry" have come unstuck at attempting to be a relatable royals whilst being born into a privileged hierarchical lifestyle. I find Meghan jarring as she attempting to act how a royal would act when wanting to appear like everyone else. Out of all the royals Meghan should have the advantage as she was hardly in the royal family there is no need.

JSMill · 09/03/2025 17:50

Also - didn't she make a big thing about entertaining W & K in ripped jeans and bare feet but now she's in cashmere jumpers! I don't think this woman really knows who she is.

glitterturd · 09/03/2025 17:50

I agree with Baital about it being sad. M has a husband who loves her, two lovely healthy children and a lovely environment in California. What is there not to enjoy? I would be making the most of my time with those children while they are so young - you never get these times back. I'm not saying women can't have a career or job but so many wish they could afford to stay at home.

JADS · 09/03/2025 17:54

So have we now seen who Meghan is?

AtIusvue · 09/03/2025 18:05

Nothing that we didn’t know already but another review. This time New York Magazine:

https://archive.ph/iIQIK

‘The other truth is that With Love, Meghan is an utterly deranged bizarro world voyage into the center of nothing, a fantastical monument to the captivating power of watching one woman decorate a cake with her makeup artist while communicating solely through throw-pillow adages about joy and hospitality. It is painfully defensive. Meghan comes across as constantly worried about what people will think, and because of it, the show can neither flaunt her unusual life, nor can it embrace legitimate ordinariness. It is at once wildly unattainable, like when she describes the joys of sourcing beeswax from your local beekeeper, and mind-bogglingly basic, as in building a whole segment out of arranging fruit in rainbow order. And it is quite, quite sad — a document created by a woman cursed to a life in which even the safest, blandest, emptiest statements somehow boomerang back around toward cuckoo land.’

MayaKovskaya · 09/03/2025 18:10

"throw pillow adages" ouch!

Would the real Meghan please stand up?! 🤣

jeffgoldblum · 09/03/2025 18:20

I was thinking of that quote too ! @JSMill 🤣

jeffgoldblum · 09/03/2025 18:22

Can you imagine if they did a "this is your life"
With Meghan?!!
Here's the family members you ghosted!
Here's the school friends you ghosted!

Actually no ! Bad idea! 🤣

Unbelievable!! He's at it again! Using the fires for pr .

Hollyhobbi · 09/03/2025 18:35

I’m Irish so have no skin in the game so to speak but couldn’t she just call herself Megan Mountbatten-Windsor? Over here we always consider people with double-barrelled names posh😉
