I noticed the old thread is almost full so thought we could start a new one to carry on the discussion about the rebrand and merching.

Some time ago I read a very similar story but it wasn’t by Lady C.
The writer said that At the time of the wedding Meghan was under huge pressure to go and speak to her father along with Harry and that was the reason she gave for refusing .

Strike me down in flames for this unsisterly suggestion, but how about 'The Wench' as a sequel to 'The Bench'?

If you want to grow your followers on Instagram you need engagement, but no-one can comment on any of her posts. I understand why she doesn’t want comments but it does mean her posts aren’t going to be viewed by as many people as they could be.

It’s a shame, because I was positive at first. But she’s just a hustler and Harry is simply really unpleasantly jealous and supremely stupid.

I've always thought that no mature, insightful woman would marry Harry. He comes across as emotionally needy and very fragile - no basis for a partnership of equals. It's hardly surprising he now has a wife who controls him. A nasty symbiosis.

Meghan could sue him for plagiarism and personal brand theft if she had more self-awareness.

apparently, and I think Lady C is the source, when her father dies she's going to say she was sexually abused as a child. I really hope this isn't true ie both that she was sexually abused and that she hasn't had this truly dreadful idea).

She'd be throwing Doria under the bus, too. Wouldn't any such allegations lead to questions being asked about Doria, and why she was apparently absent from M's life for a long period when she was growing up? Horrible thing to do to her.

Truly appalling and utterly unforgivable if she does have any such plan.

@User14March do you not think it strange that Harry did not meet his future FIL prior to the wedding ? I am NOT saying this was due to the rumour but rather confirms several posters claims that TM was never going to be part of Meghan’s future .

Yes it’s incredibly quiet from the usual suspects, probably called for duty elsewhere, I suspect when the show aires they will be back with a vengeance, singing her praises, the normal pattern of behaviour when Meghan makes a tit of herself.

I think one thing the RF got wrong is not insisting on meeting her parents before the wedding. They are not just any normal family, their ILs had the potential to embarrass them as the press love to dig up the dirt. If they brought them into the fold, they could have guided them on dealing with the very new and strange situation they found themselves in. If they did ask to meet them and M pushed back, that should have rung alarm bells.

Oh I think there were lots of alarm bells - William clearly recognised trouble as did Harry’s friends but Harry chose to ignore everyone. Except Meghan.

It's optics, imo. Her dad didn't fit the image she wanted.

The problem is though, they seem to have been aware that MM could be trouble but there wasn’t a lot they could do about it. William had already tried to warn Harry to slow down. Harry wasn’t listening though and they probably didn’t think it was fair to try and spoil his happiness. I’m sure they couldn’t imagine how wrong things would actually go 🤷‍♀️

Eta I absolutely agree that it was the optics at the wedding that Meghan was concerned about. She has A listers there and her dad was not going to fit the bill. She was much happier walking alone and then with Charles

Not just optics. Thomas was in a position to debunk the 'poor little me' stories M had been spinning about her life before Harry. The family she never had, for example - she had grandparents and uncles on both sides. Uncle Mike (who also wasn't allowed to meet Harry, and as ex-US Navy, ex-diplomatic service should have been entirely suitable to mingle with Royals) got her the internship in wherever it was.

Thoughts on the mood board. Have you noticed that the shopping list and the inspo quotes are printed out on crappy quality computer paper?. The quotes are printed on computer paper and then cut up. The border space around each quote is different, not a coherent look. Tut tut. All the attention to detail! Looks like a very last min thing flung together.
