Ah you're clearly very kind hearted but honestly H&M don't need anyone's pity.
They have far more wealth, privilege and cultural and social capital than 99.99999% of the rest of the world.
Plus, they have their healthy, their adored children and a uniquely strong bond of love between them. They are like salt and pepper, or two trees entwined at the root. They will be just fine.
Commercially though, it's not working out for them, at all. To a couple with their level of wealth and privilege this could only ever be an embarrassment - it can't really hurt them. And I think their Ozymandias-style downfall has important lessons for all current and aspiring celebrities:
- If you enjoy vast wealth and privilege, do not try to create a personal brand based on trauma and suffering. It's cloth-eared. People won't like it.
- Don't sign $multi-million dollar production deals unless you are 100% sure that you have the ideas and talent to produce truly great content
- Everyone exaggerates or tells fibs sometimes, especially when trying to portray ourselves in a positive light. However, try not to tell big whoppers that are easily falsified by empirical evidence.
- If you're lucky and privileged enough to have PR advice...TAKE IT!!!
And finally, the most important one for me...
ALWAYS RESPECT AND LISTEN TO YOUR ELDERS. They have more experience than you, and that makes them smart. In addition, if you disrespect your elders, Karma will not treat you kindly.
