MM doesn't have that kind of sticking power.

And Harry doesn't have that amount of money

Serenster · 18/02/2025 08:59

She signed her Valentine message, As ever, Meghan.

Nice genuine and heartfelt message to her husband then, or just a teaser for her new brand launch? As ever, Meghan struggles to come across as authentic.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 18/02/2025 09:00

As Ever Grifting

But he will be expected to find it, just as Trevor was pushed to promote Meghan’s career. He will be under immense pressure.

Well, he's just let her take over the Invictus Games with her incoherent waffling, posing and attention-seeking. What Meghan wants, Meghan gets, remember?

cheezncrackers · 18/02/2025 09:03

Trevor seriously dodged a bullet when she returned the rings. He's having the last laugh now though. I bet when he thinks of Harry he thinks 'That poor schmuck!'

VB (according to Google) have had losses of 66 million.

That is a lot of money to find.

I must admit I was going with spoof yesterday mainly because of the photo choice.

I don't know why but everything with these two always seems be quite chaotic with little evidence of any planning or research.

It's a big gamble financially but then I don't think they have much else in their locker (other than the children) that they can run with.

JSMill · 18/02/2025 09:09

Has anyone watched Amandaland?

Atlusvue · 18/02/2025 09:10

You can’t sell a lifestyle that the press have revealed to include having staff receiving long term therapy after working with you, belittling and bullying people and being estranged from all your family.

It’s delusional.

Atlusvue · 18/02/2025 09:12

JSMill · 18/02/2025 09:09

Has anyone watched Amandaland?

Yes!

She is straight up Amanda and her lifestyle brand. With her collabs (with the Queen remember), the thoughtful living, awful insta videos.

FromThePrismOfJammyTodger · 18/02/2025 09:16

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 18/02/2025 08:50

Oh my God, it was real 🤦🏼‍♀️

What is wrong with her? I’ve never known someone to self sabotage as much as she does. I wonder if she has ADHD or something. She seems incapable of creating one idea, sticking to it and following it through to the end.

I think this is her only way of getting away with selling mass produced crap, rather than the locally grown Flamingo Estate imitation that was the idea of ARO. Saying ARO was "too limiting" is code for, "I didn't have the talent or resources to make myself millions the ethical way."

JSMill · 18/02/2025 09:17

Collabs with the Queen. 🤣🤣🤣

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 18/02/2025 09:18

Omg she is a total Amanda! I can see her doing a dance video that gets 400 likes on TikTok 🤣

Amanda had some self reflection and insight by the end of the series though (just a bit, like not wanting her daughter to end up like her and to work hard at school/ not taking the easy marriage route). I doubt Meghan will ever look inwards and blame her own decisions and actions for her predicaments. She's very much a Blake Lively, from everything that's coming out about that woman.

There's nothing she won't monetise.

She's treated ARO like she treated her ex-husband, her dad, a lot of her old friends, and her royal duties: I'm bored of you, I've taken what I can from you, I'm moving on to the next thing.

MissRoseDurward · 18/02/2025 09:23

But again no real plan or understanding of how to build loyalty.

Don't think loyalty is a concept M is particularly familiar with. Look at the trail of dumped friends and family members she leaves behind wherever she goes.

Atlusvue · 18/02/2025 09:24

JSMill · 18/02/2025 09:17

Collabs with the Queen. 🤣🤣🤣

From Jan 2020 and the statement that they were leaving:

’ We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all
relevant parties.‘

Just like Amanda and her collabs 😂

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 18/02/2025 09:25

As Ever? Whatever!

I think if they do involve the children in any commercial way, it would be (another) huge misstep. It goes against everything they've said or done so far regarding protecting their privacy and that won't escape comment.

Also, I honestly don't think the children are going to generate that much interest. I'm sure they are absolutely lovely, but there have only been tiny glimpses (which was a perfectly valid choice by M&H) unlike the Wales kids, where there is still limited exposure but we've seen them grow up so far and there is a bit of investment in them, as there was with William and Harry when little.

"Ta dah! We've changed out minds, here are our kids and we're using them to flog jam (or whatever)" would be a really bad look and appear cynical, because it would be cynical.

Happy to be wrong if they don't go down this path.

I don't think she looks all that well personally.

I think she looks drawn and exhausted as though all that manic energy is burning her out, on the edge almost.

I agree. The glow she used to have has completely gone.

She seems to be trying to portray a giggling 20 year old rather than a middle aged serious business woman .

JSMill · 18/02/2025 09:09

Has anyone watched Amandaland?

Yes, I did. Amanda was a wholly unlikeable character in Motherland who redeemed herself by finding a little bit of humility and self awareness in this spin off.

Just sayin’.

Absolutely.

Involving the children would be a big mistake. It is obviously the US market she is appealing to and I'm not sure Americans will be that interested, they are just the children of a couple of Cali celebs. Involving them would, in light of everything they have said prior, draw a huge amount of criticism that could sink the whole thing.

Hopefully she is taking some business advice on board and is not going down the usual 'I know best' route with this one. Time will tell.
