Why is Meghan on the stage ?

Maybe their were words from either or both sides about the personalised (just for Harry) jar of vegemite and the grasping claw behaviour.

It's not just that she goes to grab the jar, it's that she interrupts his conversation. And he looked genuinely happy to have been given it and to be talking to this kind lady. I actually feel quite proud of him for not relinquishing the jar (and I can't stand the bloke).

I was googling why Meghan had left Canada and I found an article from 2022 when Invictus was held in the Netherlands. She did a storyline session then and left early citing missing Archie and Lili.

I think it's right she has gone home. 9 days is a long time for children without both parents. Hopefully there will be more focus on the athletes now.

I wouldn't be surprised if Netflix suggested she should leave in an effort to protect her upcoming show, I think she took it too far with, what looked like, love bombing Harry, it was all so over the top and fake and immature. It created such a negative vibe.

I think she should have turned up for the opening ceremony, not taken to the stage to introduce 'her husband' but cheered him on from the audience, then shown up again for the closing ceremony and cheer him on proudly from the audience, rather than it becoming a double act. The multiple unnecessary outfit changes just emphasised how she really wants to be the star of the show, the incessant stories on her Insta, all featuring herself.

Invictus and the participants are the ones who have lost out, all the attention on Meghan the first few days and and now again, her leaving 'suddenly', will create speculation as to why she left and will she return for the closing ceremony, and what is Harry doing and how is he coping etc.

All very undignified

Well, it it was always planned, then it was a real dick move to not announce it in advance knowing there would be plenty of speculation which again would overshadow the games, (but give Meghan plenty more column inches).

Actually yes, that sounds fair Thedom - but as you say it all gets her name mentioned and more attention no matter how negative

I mentioned Dusseldorf earlier and think (?) it was known she'd arrive mid-event, so why shouldn't this have been known too?

I would be surprised if she doesn't show up for the closing ceremony, it's only a 2 hour private jet flight 🙄. Maybe the kids will be brought along for the day.

IIRC, it wasn't known that she was going to Dusseldorf. She did her prancing about in from t of coincidental paps at the In n Out burger buying milkshakes when those games started, keeping everyone guessing. Harry was getting lots of positive press, as were William and Catherine (I think for the Mike Tindall rugby podcast). She was then coincidentally papped at (I think) LAX, and then turned up at the games the following day. It was speculated on quite a bit that she had turned up unannounced. Harry certainly looked uncomfortable throughout her stupid milkshake speech and in subsequent footage (including her infamous malfunction).

I bet that guy is very expensive.

It doesn’t make sense to leave half way through. I get that she misses her kids, but then why go at all? It’s not like it’s her event. If she wanted to go to support her husband she could have just attended the opening and closing ceremony, and gone back home in between.

She didn’t need to do the excessive PDA, designer wardrobe and generally elbowing her way into every photo opportunity if she was only going to do half a job anyway.

I’ve also seen this photo floating around the internet. It’s just a snap shot but there’s that withering scowl again.

I really find it hard to believe that Meghan had always planned to leave midway through the Games.
If she is missing her DC then I am sure they could have travelled to Canada with them/ Nannies/ Doria .
As if Meghan would miss an opportunity to be photographed in an array of designer clothes !
