With this new authentic Insta post where Meghan positions herself as a go between in securing some signed merchandise I think there's still plenty to discuss.

Well, they are a 8 hours behind. So if they both released at 9am local time, M&H would always be later.

I'm not sure about strawberries on a bagel. It seems a strange mix of textures but I tend to only eat savoury bagels so I may be missing out.

And now ... they schism, and she starts putting the kids out there. Like a threat - toe the line, or I'll merch the k8ds.

Those kids are going to grow up knowing that their mother monetised their childhood memories for money.

Cream cheese and smoked salmon is my, predictable, preference.

Yeah, I think so too. I got some kind of fruit cream cheese one time when we were in Orlando. It was too sweet for me (unheard of as I'm a Scot and was weaned on condensed milk and tablet). There was a few to select from so it was obviously quite popular.

But it doesn't . I can't see how they will make money from this.

It is valentines day when alot of people post pictures. When do you think they should post a valentines picture then?

Ach, I'm actually disappointed in that story she put up showing the kids.

It was the one thing I believed they were doing right, just not showing the kids (though I know they showed them on the NF show).

And it's disingenuous to do it in this coy, half arsed way. If you've made the decision to involve your kids in getting SM attention for you, then do it. Don't pretend you're keeping them "safe" by showing them from the side or the back. If you don't want to show their faces - just don't show them at all. All the sneak peaks do is increase attention on them.

Because engagement will go up, they'll monetise through it, have better deals to promote items etc. same as any influencer... ?

But not enough. The future king only gets a 1 million according to your post. That's small fry if you need to earn from it.

To be fair, William and Catherine posted theirs first but I do appreciate there is a time difference. However it is in line with a trend from them recently of sharing much more personal experiences, which makes sense given the difficult year they have had.

the point is the kids are the big draw.... The posts with the kids are far more engaged with than the others.

If H&M posted their kids, they'll get more likes, more subscribers...more money.

I think with hindsight it'll become obvious that someone somewhere told her to make herself relatable as the person she wants to portray on her Netflix show - a mom, home-centered, nurturing, fun, earthy. You can picture the mood board.

As with all her professional efforts, however, it's hastily and sloppily put together, late, and with not enough of it.
