With this new authentic Insta post where Meghan positions herself as a go between in securing some signed merchandise I think there's still plenty to discuss.

Talk about over exposure, I think there will be Meghan fatigue after this round of extreme PR at the Harry and Meghan games.

I agree. I am sick of seeing things on my Facebook about them. I keep clicking on 'hide this page' until Facebook gets the message. They used to be fascinating but now they are just desperate.

Just to add, I am bored with H and M but I do like popping onto these threads because you lovely lot have some interesting points of view.

@BigWillyLittleTodger - I think it would be good if there were more transparency about H&M's expenses. & that might be - H&M have not claimed a penny in flights , accommodation or clothing allowance, and Harry is not being paid for being here - which would be good. It does need to come from a reputable source though. Now , IVG organisers might well say that's none of my business , and just prurience on my part - but given the veterans are paying themselves I do think it is of legitimate interest & if - I stress if - he has been paid for appearing that really is poor and not what should be expected of a patron. If untrue that they claim expenses and appearance fees it would be pretty easy for some reputable person from IVG to knock it on the head to stop rumours. & H&M to say they haven't had money from Archwell for this trip. Ach well , we will probable never know. 😁

Yes. Someone else mentioned this elsewhere. It seems a bit “tokenistic” to me. Can’t imagine it will help shift huge volumes. And where is this produce coming from? I doubt it’s all lovingly handmade 🤷‍♀️

I should imagine H and MM’s finances are pretty murky but the charity has to produce audited accounts which are in the public domain so there is (rightly) full accountability if anyone wants to see for themselves.

There's zero chance these items will have been made by Meghan, imo. For a start, does she have an olive grove? Doubtful. Second, unless you are selling your goods on a stall on a farmer's market, you will have to have fulfilled FDA regulations before selling your stuff commercially. Third, she's not going to have been able to have grow or make enough of anything in her kitchen for the sort of commercial sales Netflix will be interested in.

I'm not a big Instagram person so I thought M's 1.7m followers was a lot (I am not one). However I decided to follow Pete Wicks after watching For Dogs Sake because he was just amazing and I want to know if there will be another series. I barely knew who he was and he is only famous in the UK and he has 1.9 million followers! M is on a global stage and married into one of the most famous families in the world and she can't overtake someone on Towie. I thought that was interesting.

and don't forget the amount of column inches it generated, it was everywhere, so while it is a lot by influencer standards, its nothing considering her name recognition. If you go through her followers, there are quite a lot that have no posts and no followers and no profile pic, which generally indicates bots.

I can’t imagine that Meghan ( and Harry ) thought they would be flogging jam etc in a shopping centre when they made their grandiose statement and flounced off in 2020 .

Would they need to go out again, @elessar? It's not my world, but surely they could just add the footage already available of the "visits" - which let's face it, was clearly the purpose of making them in the first place

Plus she also referenced meeting the mother and daughter in her Instagram video and said Altadena, but as pp rightly pointed out, residents weren't allowed back to their homes when they went to Pasadena for the first visit.

After all they borrowed images of someone else's crowd of photogs on the earlier Netflix doc, so why would this be any different?

Thanks Smilesy - IIRC I have seen a photo of M artwhat must have been Altadena carrying two big bags so yes I suspect they will use this rather than them on a tour of destroyed houses. I am sure it will be very carefully curated. Whether that will be enough or remind people abut the Pasadena trip as well - who knows.
