Just seen on Sky News. Breaking News headlines. Delayed because of the wild fires didn't say if this was technical difficulties or it would be a bit crass to launch a frothy type lifestyle show with all the devastation. Anyway it might be shelved for good with any luck.

Africa is "Harry's", is it? Fucking little colonialist shit.

Holy shit. I need to make a new thread. It’s honestly amazing this podcast

Yes thanks for telling us about it. I haven't heard the whole thing but I have just heard the bit about how difficult they were to work with to fulfill the Spotify deal, particularly M with Archetypes. It is reminiscent of their alleged behaviour while still working royals. It can't be everyone else's fault every time.
One particular sentence stood out about M treated people she was unhappy with. 'You don't have to raise your voice to yell at someone'. (Not exact words but thereabouts) That's classic bullying behaviour.

It’s explosive ….wait until the end and you hear about the book

BasiliskStare · 17/01/2025 19:32

The only thing I remember ( I think relayed by - is it Josh Rogan who is a big time podcaster ) that Harry wanted to interview the Pope and Putin about trauma in childhood - well - I have no words. (Or indeed I have because I just typed them 😂- I will listen to that podcast I think at some point or if any who have who would post so that I don't have to 😊💐)

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 17/01/2025 19:39

I actually think a lot of the VF podcast is poorly researched when it comes to commentary on the Royal Family.

It was Bill Simmons who said that, he's a Spotify executive and sports podcaster. He called them fucking grifters.

queenofarles · 17/01/2025 19:52

Other than being 'naturally pretty', along with any number of women, what does Meghan bring to the table to make her attractive to an elite man?
she could have everything or nothing and still some men will find her agreeable / in agreeable.
no one can predict these things, as long as you are in that circle.

Viviennemary · 17/01/2025 20:06

It'll be Jackie Kennedy and Onassis if she gets half a chance. IMHO.

Here it is as an article (its the cover story for VF Feb 25) - audio/podcast is at top of article:

Inside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Big Business Ambitions, 5 Years After Their Royal Exit

Ensconced in their cozy Montecito mansion, the Sussexes are living the American dream. By all accounts, the love is real. But their foray into moguldom has not always been a smooth ride.

That's a great article.

MrsFinkelstein · 17/01/2025 21:47

Any update on the "complicated cancer narrative the Waleses have been projecting"?

Still would really like to know exactly what the poster meant.

Viviennemary · 17/01/2025 22:03

There's a new article on the Mail website that's saying Meghan is a mean girl and that she is very unpopular in Montecito. And local residents have spoke of their disapproval of her behaviour, that show looks like the crassest piece of frothy rubbish ever. It will be thoroughly panned.already has been really.

Do you believe everything you read in the Daily Mail? Have you ever developed any independent critical thinking skills? Editing to say that looking at your posting history on MN it's apparent that you haven't....

The Mail is referencing the article in Vanity Fair as quoted up thread. So it isn’t the original source for the article

StSwithinsDay · 17/01/2025 22:52

@smilesy
I know that. But @Viviennemary references the Daily Mail. Not Vanity Fair.

Atlasvue · 17/01/2025 22:53

Uh huh, to show that the story is travelling and that it’s a big story picked up by a tabloid. Whether you like the DM or not, this is going to be a huge story.

Actually the article is from Vanity Fair, the mail are just reporting on said article, maybe you should learn some independent critical thinking skills yourself before shooting from the hip at posters, insulting them and generally making yourself look a bit of a twit? Just a thought.

And this from someone who admits stalking someone's posts on MN? A person with a name I don't think seen on RF board before?

Well it doesn’t really matter in this case given that it is quoting Vanity Fair verbatim. The same thing is in the Telegraph. With the same quotes 🤷‍♀️

It's not travelling for long though, in monday Trump becomes President and that will be the story for days if not weeks esp in the US just like it was last time, reporting on what he does in the first few weeks. It will dominate the news including here in the UK. Only people talking about it will here and other social media platforms but to be honest alot of people will be more interested in what goes on with Trump.
