Meghan has updated her Instagram to announce that her rescue dog, Guy the Beagle, has passed away.

It looks like he features quite a bit in her cooking/lifestyle show.

Relating it to Kate’s birthday is madness, I have no idea when her birthday is and I doubt most of the population do either.

And if the dog does feature in the show, that will be why she’s commented on it i would have thought, as the show is due to come out soon.

That’s sad. Hope the kids are ok too. We aren’t a dog family but I’m aware of how hard it is for kids to deal with.

I think that they had to announce it because after the show is aired, people will want more info on Guy.

Losing a dog is horrible. Guy looks like he was a very good boy.

But no, I don’t think she’s timed the announcement of his death as an attempt to ruin Catherine’s birthday. Apart from anything else, were we expecting Catherine to do something for her birthday tomorrow?

I really don’t think most people will be aware of that, so if it was Meghans intention to take attention from Kate as some seem to be saying, it really wouldn’t work. It makes much more sense that it’s timed due to the show coming out soon and the release of the trailer. Lots of people, like me, like dogs, so would be interested in that, even if they’re not really interested in the cooking show, which I’m not.

I adore my dogs, and always try to act in their best interests rather than mine. And I also admire Fitzpatrick. Maybe it was for the best.

That's a week away. And you seem to be agreeing that the death did not just happen, and the video release was calculated and for a reason other than celebrating the beloved pup.
