Meghan and her team would had all their insta posts lined up for the build up of the launch on Wednesday.
They can’t do that now. So what we will get is every 2nd day, is stories/videos about Meghan and what they are doing re the fires. They need to keep her in the headlines; they are clutching at straws.
They know this is an absolute disaster for reception of her tv show. After all the promo for it, what’s going to happen?
- You’re now not going to get gushing posts from the likes of Abigail Spencer (who is even more performative and unlikeable than Meghan in my opinion) on the release of the show. It would look bad taste. No celebs are going to say watch this show….none. They couldn’t risk the backlash. I’ve been trying to think how they could possibly formulate a post- My heart goes out to all those affected by the fires and in times of heartache, let’s look to life’s little joys to help get us through the pain, I’m so proud of Meghan and I hope you get to love her too, blah blah. See it doesn’t work, you can’t possibly write anything that doesn’t sound tone deaf
- You’re not going to get Meghan posting joyful posts about her show/recipes and private life for at least a few weeks
- You’re not going to get US media outlets writing reviews for the show, when there’s other much bigger stories out there. San Anas winds could return Mon/Tues
- Harrys court case starts 5 days after launch, so again, the news shifting focus.
Her new influencer career isn’t off to the greatest start and this show won’t be the hit they thought it would be. There’s no way there will be another series.
But I don’t thinking this cooking show was the best format for an influencer these days. It’s old fashioned. I don’t think it was ever going to do her any favours.
Oh well, let’s wait for the rebrand 6.0
