@ButtofaMonkey perhaps Meghan needs to hear those words. Her investment in Cesta Collective (note, investment, of the financial sort) is in a company that hardly seems "kind" or " women supporting women" when it comes to the very poor artisans who make these bags.

And no, I'm not "triggered" by her, neither do I hate her. My main feeling about the pair of them is bewilderment.

If she turns out to be the next Nigella or Barefoot Contessa I will be more than happy to say I got her wrong.

Just watched the trailer looks like just what's needed for the new year... a bit or levity and light. Gosh there's some salty posters here who have an awful lot of ill feeling towards another woman...now what could they have against her I wander...

I thought the trailer was less awful than I was expecting.

The music and tone was upbeat and not overly serious like she usually is.
(Or like the original trailer with her wafting about in a ball gown was).
The lighting and setting were bright warm and relaxed.

Also just using Meghan and not The Duchess was a good move.

I think if she'd gone this route from the start, avoided all the back stabbing and whining, ditched the royalty for an unpretentious Cali vibe it might have worked.

Now though I think too many people want her to fail and it's just going to laughed at and derided.

Totally agree - if they’d gone straight for happy upbeat productive things that played to their strengths - rather than trying to set up an American version of the royals plus all the backstabbing interviews and book which made them look like horrible people- this could have been a huge success.

It still could work - but they’ll have to be very disciplined not to fall back on the complaints and clap backs in the press.

This trailer looks fun and upbeat - something I’d definitely watch.

If she isn’t cooking in her own kitchen- the foodie ladies won’t connect. Ree Drummond, Martha, etc - they all used their own kitchens

Still the celeb followers will watch- but it’s just so teeth achingly saccharine that people will tune out after a couple of episodes.

Well, I've got Netflix and I'm going to give it a try, with fresh eyes and in the interests of fairness. If I think it's good, I'll say so. I'm tired of the constant narrative of how posters on here who are in any way critical of the actions of H&M are racist jealous harpies. I don't think we are at all, but a lot of the supporters would rather talk about what we say than anything positive about the couple they admire so much, most of the time.

I think it will go the way of POLO.

I don’t think it will get mocking reviews but I think people will tune out after a few episodes. Well some naughty reviews but not awful.

Cooking shows do better when it’s a weekly release though. Like a relaxing catch up, something to look forward to.

Dumped all at once- well youre not doing to binge watch a tv cooking show are you? There’s no cliffhanger at the end of each episode to make you watch the next one.

Feels like NF are dumping this on us as a limited series.

Also seen the obligatory lemons, that there were ariels shots of the coast and she’s in an orchard

I don’t know if it’s just me though, but the makeup they’ve used for her seems heavier than what she usually goes for.

She usually likes her freckles shining through and quite a natural skin look (with or without too much bronzer )but she never usually wears a heavy foundation

I know when your filming you have to wear more, but it’s a bit too heavy

After the crap Christmas offerings on TV, another lightweight cooking/crafting show is just what I don't want. I want a good Scandi Noir or Agatha Christie series. I suspect this 'new chapter' will be much the same as the previous chapters. Full of hype and disappointment for everyone involved.
