  • William will continue to play a larger role as statesman. Hopefully he will move away from the virtue signalling endeavours; earth shot etc
  • Will see more of Catherine but she won’t see a return to a full time timetable (I don’t think she will for the next few years)
  • Eerie feeing that KC will still be battling ill health. Feel bad for writing that, but it’s a gut feeling all is not well.
  • Camillia isn’t going to be able to continue to be working as much as she has to cover for KC. Hence Williams larger role.
  • Prince George accompanying his father on a Royal visit.
  • 50/50 if the Meghan cooking show will be released. There will be no ARO launch for 2025.
  • 2025 is going to continue M&Hs run of bad luck. Harry in particular will have a tough year with the numerous court cases and NFs dropping them
  • Continued press if they are together or not. More info and stories that they are spending increasing time apart. Separate events throughout the year. Don’t believe Meghan will show for Invictus. Harry will spend more time in NY.

Actually William is Patron of the Welsh RFU so he will no doubt be present too.

George is only 11. Let him be a child a bit longer. Going with his Dad to the footie is one thing. Taking him along as a show object as Princess Diana did to William taking him to Wales for St David's Day when he was about 7 was so wrong. The footage showed William so shy and unsure of himself.

I think he will receive something of an education in how the State works and the key principles of international affairs, but this will be done out of sight.

I doubt very much that the Wales DC will take on more than occasional duties until they are approx 25 (school until 18, probably University +/- gap year, couple of years in military or doing something else suitable but of their own choosing)

I agree. It could be that in the same way that William used to go to tea with his Granny the late queen, George will have similar sessions with his grandfather. For me that is one reason in favour of George following William in attending Eton because of the proximity to Windsor Castl.e

  • Eerie feeing that KC will still be battling ill health. Feel bad for writing that, but it’s a gut feeling all is not well. - I thought the general belief was that he has has prostrate cancer, so he will always have this but it will be managed and won’t be his cause of death.

I think prostate cancer is the only cancer that has been specifically ruled out by the palace. It's just that he was in hospital for a prostate thing when the cancer was found.

No evidence but have a feeling that Catherine is a lot more ill than is being revealed. Hope I am wrong.

I think this is true, unfortunately. I’m by no means a royalist but don’t wish illness on them.

No one stays 14 nights in hospital after surgery unless it’s extremely extensive and cancer is not found incidentally in this way.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 31/12/2024 17:38

I’d say both she and Charles are more unwell than we are being told tbh.

I'd agree too they'll be the odd appearance that George will do, exactly the same as William and Harry did.
But really i think they'll want him to grow up away from the public eye, uni, military, so probably 25 before he's a full-time working Royal.

William was fortunate to have time as part-time royal until his mid 30s partly because his Grandparents were blessed with long lives, and good health. And Charles, & 3 siblings plus some of the Queens cousins were still doing bits.

George won't have that luxury

What an odd response given I was answering your question.

fixingmylife · 31/12/2024 18:33

I know someone that worked at the palace who told me that Kate's illness was more serious than Charles'.

Yeah, don’t believe those stories about people working at the palace. As we’ve seen this year, even people who work there often don’t actually know anything. With these stories, it’s a 50/50 chance they’re correct.

I agree that Charles’ situation seems less serious (if you can even call cancer 'less serious'). When they announced his cancer, they mentioned it was discovered early. Given his age, it’s likely a slow-growing type. Even if it can’t be cured, he could still live to an old age and might not even die from it.

Charlotte going to Wimbledon and George going to the football could remain appropriate outings for the children. If Louis likes watching sport then could this be the year that he starts attending ?

The Rugby Women’s World Cup could be a fun family affair - especially if there’s a Wales vs England match

I agree with your other predictions- especially the continuation of the same old speculative Sussex articles and William doing more because of Charles and Camilla’s health. I think that the cooking show and ARO will be shelved when Netflix doesn’t renew their contract in April.

Bizarre reply to someone responding to your question by speculating in exactly the same way about the health of family members.

Oh, now. Give It Up.

Off to read thread now and give my predictions some thought 😈

LouisvilleSlugger · 31/12/2024 20:03

Kate and William will continue doing as little as they can get away with.

CathyorClaire · 31/12/2024 20:08

Right.

I think there will be a domino style collapse of the Harolds' media deals as they come to term and aren't renewed.

The Duke of Doolittle will continue to do little.

Further royal skims will be assiduously uncovered yet receive the usual public indifference.

Rhaidimiddim · 31/12/2024 22:25

(In)Signiificant PR release fromMontecito on 8/910 January.

Reddog1 · 31/12/2024 23:03

Charles will battle on. Camilla too. I think they both have a good few years and enjoy being busy. They will perform engagements until they absolutely can’t.

Workshy and Waity will do as little as possible.

Sophie and Edward will be assiduous but get very little press.

Anne will continue to graft.

Andrew will continue to be an unresolved nuisance.

Tindall will continue to be a sleaze.

Meghan might wish Ashley Cole had said yes to a date in 2016, but she won’t withdraw from Haz in 2025.

Urghto · 31/12/2024 23:11

MagdaLenor · 01/01/2025 05:28

Of course Meghan will attend Invictus! What else has she got? It's her major fashion and style platform. It generates the headlines she so desperately needs.

I look forward to seeing her in Birmingham in 2027 if the Invictus Games really are that important to her!

Yes, I think it's the primary activity for both of them, in terms of promoting themselves. I would be surprised if she missed it. Great for the clicks.

AmazingGraze · 01/01/2025 07:15

It seems to me that Charles is not well at all. Camilla’s health is failing. William will have to step up now as everyone around him are falling like ninepins.
I still think Catherine looks like she’s been to hell and back. She’s aged a lot and when the grin slips she looks tired and strained. I’m not sure about her health generally. It’s a lonely and difficult life for her and I think she struggles with it.

Sophie will continue to graft quietly. Edward looks very unwell and far too thin. Don’t know what the story is there.

Andrew will skulk about with his odd ex wife propping him up at every turn. I suspect he’s a drinker and hard work to be around .

Eugenie and Beatrice will continue to try and cash in at every opportunity whilst doing nothing of any interest or importance. Zara and her sleazy husband will follow suit.

Anne will continue to work hard as she always does and not court attention for herself. She and Sophie are absolute stars.

Harry will continue to unravel and get mixed up with more unsavoury people and projects, showing less and less judgement or common sense until he’s an absolute laughing stock. Meghan will be seen less frequently and behave more and more like a washed up has been. She will cling on to anyone or anything that will give her a platform and publicity, however dubious.

It’s not an edifying spectacle from any perspective.

FatFiatMultiplaWhopper · 01/01/2025 08:06

One of the older peripheral royals will die.

Sophie will keep on trucking, as will Anne - they are both stars.

A health announcement about Edward. Something is up.

Harry and Meghan will keep on in the same scattergun vein.

Kate and William will do as little as they can get away with, using her illness and the child as excuses.

Charles will do what he can.
