Noone is suggesting that. However other celebrities (that's all the RF are) generally disappear and/or apologise when they're caught out behaving terribly. The RF know they're untouchable sadly, and Andrew in particular is too arrogant to think he's done anything wrong. Odious fool that he is.

Honestly. I have no time for Prince Andrew at all. But he is a human being. The way you are suggesting he should be treated is ludicrous. Even convicted criminals are released from prison to attend family funerals, and are seen with their families doing so.

Do they? Don King? Chris Brown? Jon Hamm? Ted Kennedy? Roman Polanski? Woody Allen? Charlie Sheen?

You know as well as I do that celebs are always apologising on social media 'i will educate myself" 'I will do better' etc ad infinitum. The RF is held up as something us plebs should look up to, revere, literally bow down to. Why you're defending the seediest of then all I've no idea.

I think that poster is a die-hard RF fan.

I’m not actually defending Andrew. But I think the dehumanising of him is ridiculous.

He an entitled boorish idiot who could well have had sex with a trafficked girl, was definitely close to a sex offender and probably a Chinese spy as well. He may well have been siphoning money off a charity. He is clearly not a good example of anything. If anyone can prove a criminal charge against him, have at it.

But none of that means he loses his human rights, no matter how much you might wish it. He’s a convenient stick to beat his family with, I get it. And yes, I fully imagine they’d hope this all just goes away too!

I believe in human rights and due process. For everyone. Not just Andrew. I’d believe in them for you as well if by some mischance you got tangled up in something. I believe in them for people who have committed crimes too, because everyone should have a fair process leading to a supportable conviction.

We clearly differ on that. 🤷‍♀️

It would be welcome though if he withdraw completely from public life and given that the RF have enormous estates and houses all over the UK, it wouldn’t exactly be difficult or that onerous tbh! There must be a hundred or so decent estate cottages where he could go and retire in beautiful surroundings.

Okay. Phillip Schofield is trying to make a comeback currently and has been on a reality tv show in the last couple of months. Jay Blades is till on tv on repair Shop currently. Plenty of footballers have kept playing, had managerial careers and been pundits after convictions for serious offences.

Both here and in the US, over many many years, celebrities commit, and even get convicted for, serious crimes and continue to have public careers. People are remarkably forgiving of many, many unpleasant people. And many many unpleasant people arrogantly believe they have nothing nothing wrong.

Whether Sarah is as bad as Andrew? So many of these authors seem to come for the women that marry into the family so I’m always wary when they place those women front and centre, in a bad light. ‘Joint Villian’ is a pretty serious accusation given what we already know of Andrew’s actions.

I agree. It is my impression that in the past things were less likely to be uncovered. But when they were, it was most often career ending. These days the ‘accused’ totter off quietly somewhere for a time, come back and say sorry, and career and public life resumes for them. Very few find re-entry into public life barred to them.

Edited to add: Andrew has tried re-entry a few times now but the public aren’t having it.
