With the exection of Sophis in blue and B's husband, I'm sorry but the Royals look ill and sad. It's a shame.

My only thought was that William looked rather thin. But maybe that’s the way his body reacts to stress. His wife has been very ill so he’s probably been feeling under strain.

MerryMaker · 25/12/2024 20:36

Edward does look very pale and very very thin.

It annoys me that Camilla and Charles use umbrellas instead of walking sticks. The royal family are pretty anti disabled.

Quite a few kids near the front that I have no idea who they are.

SeatonCarew · 25/12/2024 20:37

"Gosh" indeed.

Be off with your knitting.

FatFiatMultiplaWhopper · 25/12/2024 20:08

Why disappointed

It's irrational isn't it. I was expecting Kate to wear red as its Christmas.

Grammarnut · 25/12/2024 20:45

They all looked well and happy, as far as I could see.

alwaysontheloo · 25/12/2024 20:48

Ok Meghan...

Stretchanoctave · 25/12/2024 20:53

What on earth are you talking about. Have you nothing better to do than write bitchy posts about the royals.

MerryMaker · 25/12/2024 21:00

You think it is bitchy to say someone does not look well?

Middlemarch123 · 25/12/2024 21:01

I was at Sandringham this morning, live close by. So went with my DD. They all looked well. William is no thinner than when I’ve seen him before. Kate looked stunning.

Mochudubh · 25/12/2024 21:03

I'm no massive royalist but KCIII and the PsOW have both had cancer which will also have been stressful for the whole family and the Queen is recovering from a bad cold/flu. I probably wouldn't look red-carpet fit if I'd been through that.

Havalona · 25/12/2024 21:03

They all look self conscious and uncomfortable parading up the avenue for the stares of the great unwashed. They look like they cant wait for it to be over and for the performance smiles and nods to be done. Its an unnecessary spectacle of privilege brought live to your living room.

the rewards must be so worth it for them.

Livelovebehappy · 25/12/2024 21:06

fedup33 · 25/12/2024 18:58

No , I'm not but thanks anyway. I feel sad for them as people and as an institution.

This quote here suggests your motivation for your statement. Whenever someone refers the Royal Family as an ‘institution’, they’re anti Royals. The pictures and news visuals today show a happy family as far as I can see.

ItsVeryConfusing · 25/12/2024 21:08

I think they look much more like normal people than the previous generations and I feel happy for them that they are allowed to be a bit normal like that. I didn't like all the boarding school and no-feelings stuff about the previous generations. I feel glad that they are allowed to be human now.

Livelovebehappy · 25/12/2024 21:09

MerryMaker · 25/12/2024 21:00

You think it is bitchy to say someone does not look well?

It is bitchy when someone’s motivation for saying this doesn’t come from a place of concern, but from a place of trying to be critical for the sake of being..critical.

Floralnomad · 25/12/2024 21:14

The problem with Edward is that he always wears coats that look much too big for him .

johnyhadasister · 25/12/2024 21:18

They never look well. Only Catherine, her children, and the Queen ever looked well. The rest are not that attractive , also are genetically inbred historically

arguing how attractive Charles and Camilla have ever been - lol

MissRoseDurward · 25/12/2024 21:21

Its an unnecessary spectacle of privilege brought live to your living room.

No-one is obliged to see it if they don't want to.

And how rude to refer to the people there as 'the great unwashed'. I'm sure Middlemarch 123 and her DD had washed before going there.

Vaxtable · 25/12/2024 21:21

No idea what you are talking about. All pictures I have seen they look perfectly ok and happy

MerryMaker · 25/12/2024 21:22

Floralnomad · 25/12/2024 21:14

He does wear coats that are too big for him. I think to disguise just how thin he is.

Gosh , they don't look well.
Daisybuttercup12345 · 25/12/2024 21:24

They look perfectly OK to me.

PoppysAunt · 25/12/2024 21:34

They look absolutely fine to me. All smiling and chatting.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/12/2024 21:39

Bored kids, aging relatives, and the 40 something's putting on big smiles and pushing through. Sounds like any big family event tbh.

CurlewKate · 25/12/2024 21:47

@BashfulClam "They look good for what they have endured this year. I think King Charles has lost weight though as his coat seems a bit too big on him"

If he or his valet thought his coat was too big on him it would have been taken in or a new coat bought. Ffs.

MerryMaker · 25/12/2024 21:49

Remember this counts as work for them.

scatters2004 · 25/12/2024 21:51

I don't think they look ill, just fed up.

I would look fed up if i was part of their family too.

The Royal family hasn't been the same since the Queen died.
